Chapter EighteenThe Worst Future

-Five minutes earlier

Anna opened her eyes slowly and was met with the sound of rustling leaves from the surrounding trees.

She blinked a few times before looking around.

I'm...in a forest?

She looked around a little more before her gaze landed on a coffin. She got up on her feet and went closer to the coffin. On it was a paper that seemed to have something written on it. She took it and begun to read.

Hai~Anna-chan~

A 💢(<=can somebody tell me how do you call this sign in English?) appeared on Anna's forehead but choose to not say anything and continued to read the letter.

It seems like you finally woke up. You should know that Hiro-chan will come after you. I suggest waiting for him~

Anna burns the paper and took a seat next to the coffin.

If he sent me here, means that this coffin belongs to...

Anna didn't want to finish that thought. She stayed still for a minute before gathering all her courage and looked down at the coffin.

Here lies the cloud guardian of the Astral Famiglia and one of the most trusted advisors who helped the Vongola Famiglia.

Kinjo Hiro.

Anna's breath got caught in her throat. Without even noticing, tears started to fall from her eyes. She choked back a few sobs but for no use.

She borrowed her face into her knees. She continued to cry silently and immediately wiping her tears when she felt the similar cloud flames brush against hers.

She looked softly at the coffin as it opened, the lid falling to the side with a small thud.

Hiro was in a seated position and looked around confused while Anna was holding back a few tears. She still couldn't believe that her strongest guardian died.

But this is just a bad future...Tsuna will change this future and I will help with everything I can.

Hiro was a little startled when he saw his boss's eyes glow orange, before returning to their original color.

Hiro opened his mouth to say something before shutting back after seeing a paper fall from the sky.

The paper slowly descended and landed in Anna's lap. Anna took the paper and read it in her mind.

I forgot to say~You and your guardians are dead in this future.

Anna's eyes widened and she burned the paper.

"Boss?"

Anna calmed herself and got on her feet.

"Let's go. We need to find the hidden base."

Hiro only followed her without asking anything.

~Tsuna's Pov~

"You need to gather the six guardians who have been separated."

"Gather the guardians?"

"I'm certain there is a connection between our presence here and the fighting in this era. To fight back against them, we have no choice but to gather the guardians."

"But what can we do with just seven people?"

"Don't say such a shameful thing. In the long history of Vongola, there have been many crises. But each time, the bosses of old have overcome difficulties with the six guardians who defend the Sky. Got it?"

I just glared at him.

"So, we're going to decide the order in which to gather the guardians. After we found your guardians we will search for the Astral Famiglia. They will be good reinforcements. First-"

"Hold on! He said that people we know are targets for the Vongola-hunt as well. Does that include Mom and Kyoko-chan? What about onee-chan and her guardians? Reborn!"

"The range of people Millefiore goes after keeps growing."

I turned to look at future Yamamoto.

"I'm afraid that they are targets too."

"Onee-chan is fine right?"

Yamamoto smiled but something in my head screamed 'Fake'. I didn't pay attention to the voice and listened to Yamamoto.

"Of course she is. We're talking about Anna here."

I smiled a little and nodded.

After we finished discussing, me and Gokudera-kun were sent to our rooms to rest.

~Reborn's Pov~

"Tell me the truth Baka-moto." I said right after Dame-Tsuna left the room.

"Hahaha~I guess I couldn't hide it from you..." his smile dropped and looked at me with sadness in his eyes.

"Anna...Anna gave her life to protect yours."

My mind went blank and my eyes widened. I don't care that I was showing my emotion. Who cared about a title right now anyways.

"W-what do you mean?" I stuttered but I didn't care.

"I don't know the full story, but all I know is that she died while you two were on your honeymoon."

"We got married..."

"Yea, Tsuna was the happiest one there. He's the one who sent you two on your honeymoon."

"I see..."

"You should rest Reborn...You need it."
