XVII:

After driving for almost 15 mins away from YG , Yeong and her manager arrived at the meeting spot. It was a private place ,where no fans or paparazzi's were allowed. Yeong and her manager walked outside their car and entered the building. They entered one of the rooms, it was cozy place and nobody was there yet. Her manager excused himself and left Yeong inside the room. Yeong looked around the room and sat down on one of the couch. She was nervous about this meeting for different reasons and was excited that she'll meet Niki after a long time.

She took out her phone and texted Jisoo unnie that she won't be able to come YG today because of the unexpected meeting with Pd-nims. Just then door opened and Niki entered the room with his manager. Yeong stood up and bowed at the right away. They bowed back too. His manager also excused himself leaving Niki & Yeong alone in the room. The atmosphere was kinda weird but Niki spoke;

"How have you been?" Niki asked.

"I've been fine maybe, what about you?" Yeong asked back.

"I'm good too. Just alittle too stress about all the things that's going on" Niki stated.

"Yeah that's true. Don't worry, these won't last long" Yeong said.

Even Yeong was stressed and didn't knew when will this all end but she just said that to calm Niki down alittle. Niki smiled and nodded at her.

"How's everything?" Yeong asked trying to change the topic.

"Everything is good, we're just busy practicing everyday what about you?" Niki asked her.

"I'm actually preparing for the event on NY next week" Yeong smiled.

Niki was about to ask something but door opened and Pd-nims walked in. They both stood up right away and bowed at them. They smiled and walked towards the couch across them and sat down. Yeong and Niki sat down after.

"So I'm sure you both have an idea why we are meeting up today?" Yang pd said.

Niki and Yeong nodded.

"After everything that has been happening in the social medias and all the rumors that's been going on. We thought it'll be good for us to meet and discuss what can we do further" Bang pd added.

Yeong and Niki became serious now.

"So we both have discussed something about this matter and we would like your opinion on this" Yang pd said.

"I wanna start from, the rumors that occured after your collab. There's no idols who aren't shipped after a collab but mostly there will be 50/50 of fans who support and who doesn't support but in your case, as far as we've seen there's 80/20 fans. Many fans supported your collab. People love both of you together. So we have decided to send you for a MC on showcase for a year. KBS team contacted both of us and asked us about this. We discussed it clearly and we have decided to send both of you together" Bang pd said.

Niki and Yeong looked at each other then back at them.

"Actually don't you think, If we'll be MCing together, that will create more fuss than it is right now?" Yeong asked courageously.

"Well ships always doesn't have to be about couples. People love both of you together. People love when you both are working together. There's a reason why KBS wants you and him to be the MC this year. Cause people love seeing both of you work together. See it in a positive way, rather than seeing it as fans shipping you as a couple" Yang pd said with a smile.

Niki and Yeong looked at each other & then Bang pd asked.

"So what do you both think?" Bang pd asked.

"I think we should do this" Niki said with a smile.

"Yeah we'll do it" Yeong was hesitant but agreed anyway.

Bang pd & Yang pd smiled happily after hearing their answer.

"Okay then, it's final you both will be MCing KBS showcase this year" Bang pd said with a smile and raise a glass of juice for a toast.

Everyone raised their glasses & clank before they took a sip.

TIME SKIPPED

After the meeting with both Pd-nims. Yeong & Niki went to their company. Yeong and Niki couldn't talk much but Yeong told Niki that she'll text and call him later.

AT HYBE

It was 4pm in the evening and Enhypen were still practicing without Niki.

"Guys, let's take 10 mins break" Jungwon said and he walked towards table to grabbed the water bottle for everyone.

Everyone sat down on ground panting hard after the practice. Jungwon passed water bottle to everyone & sat down beside Sunoo.

"Did Niki texted anybody?" Heesung suddenly asked making everyone check their phone.

Everyone shaked their head as NO.

"I wonder what they are talking about in the meeting" Sunghoon said as he drank water.

"We'll know once he'll arrive" Jay said.

Just then, practice door opened & Niki walked inside. He was greeted by everyone and he sat beside Jungwon with his brothers.

"So? What was the meeting about?" Sunoo asked without delay.

"Well it was about all the rumors that has been going after the collab and Pd-nim decided it will be a good idea for both of us to work together again" Niki said and everyone became more curious.

"What work?" Jungwon asked.

"We are signed up for the KBS showcase MC this year" Niki answered.

"But won't that add a fuel to the rumors?" Heesung said.

"Well, Pd nim said, look at the bright side and how people love seeing us work together and even KBS team contacted both of the company for this and we'll be signing the contract with KBS tomorrow " Niki said.

As soon as he finished his sentence. Jungwon stormed out of room making everyone pause for a while.

Jungwon POV

I stormed out of the practice room and directly walked towards restroom. I looked at the mirror and then saw the disappointment in my face. I decided to call Yeong myself now cause it's too much, out of my hand seeing her and Niki getting all the attention from public and company.

I dailed her number few times but she didn't picked up the call. So I decided to send her a text.

[ Jungwon: Please contact me asap. It's urgent. ]

I sighs and then walked outside restroom towards practice room again.

Yeong POV

As soon as we entered YG. I was dragged towards the design room. As I have an event next week with Versace.

"We have few dresses that we've selected from the collection they send us, so please try these out so we can finalize your looks for the event" Staff said and handed me the dress.

I started trying out the dress one by one. There was two dresses that I really loved and even staffs really liked it on me. So we were confused on which to finalize. Just then my phone rang, I looked at the number and it was Jungwon. I smiled for a sec but as I was middle of meeting with staffs, I didn't picked up the call. After he called few times. He texted me and I read the text.

I got curious on what was the urgent thing he wanna talk about. I decided to call him later after I reach home.

I looked back at staff members who were still discussing my looks.

Lastly they decided to go with outfit no 2. After finalizing the dress, we started discussing about the looks, my hairs and my nails. After everything was finalized. I went back home.

As soon as I reached home. I grabbed my phone and looked at his texts once again. I was about to press the call button but I got his call once again so I decided to pick up his call.
