"Sensei, tell me... what can I do to see your face???"

"Obviously to pull down my mask"

"But... how to do that, exactly?"

"Who knows. That depends on you. Whichever method you use, I want you to play fair, Kaoru"

"Of course! A true player always stick with justice!"

"Yea, yea, whatever. When you manage that, then I'll say that I'm proud of you. Deal?"

"Sure. Deal... but why am I going this far just to hear it?"

"How should I know? Oh, that reminds me. Didn't you promise to be cute today, Kaoru?"

Damn... I was hoping he'd forget!

"Ehh... about that... I don't think I can do it, sensei"

"You call yourself a true player, Kaoru? You don't even have the slightest respect to your own words"

"I... I just can't. Don't expect me to do those shits"

"Very well. I guess our promise shall be perished as well"

"Wait sensei. Don't leave!"

He taps his index finger on my forehead and scolds me as usual. "How can I stay with someone who doesn't keep their words like you, Kaoru? If you want me to do what you want, then I suggest you should improve your mentality"

"But..."

"I'm leaving. I've got some important stuff to take care of"

"If you insist... well, come home safe, ok?"

He turns to me with that smirk clearly visible in his eyes. "Of course, honey"

"Just go already! And come back as fast as you can!"

"Sure. See ya" with that, he disappears in a blink of an eye.

I cover my face with embarrassment. What in the world was that?! Stupid stupid... why do I even need him to stay?

I wonder where he goes, though. Is it really as important as he says? What kind of emergency, exactly?

Well, at least I don't have to be cute for today. But as a result to that, now I'm completely alone in this... what I assume- a haunted cottage. Ekk I've told myself to stop these ridiculous thoughts! But when I'm alone... this is all I could think of!

This is killing me for real... I'm so bored. I go upstairs, grab my powerbelt, transform, and set off flying. Gosh I miss this!

I guess I'll just wait till he comes back. Then I'll ask him where he had been going.~***~***~***~***~

Dang! This isn't going well as I had thought! This... this is a total disaster! This is nightmare!

Sensei comes home looking really pissed. He somehow looks like that kid who's angry all the time in an anime Blossom watches.

"Sensei. You okay?"

He... ignores me.

"Sensei! You deaf!?"

"Shut the hell up!" He shouts. What? I didn't do anything wrong! Why is he so angry?!

He sits down in the corner of the house with his hands holding his head. "Go away... go away...go away..!" I hear him mutters to himself. Or is it for me?!

Concerned, I take my steps towards him. He looks like he's in pain... he looks like he needs help...

"Don't come near me!" He yells loudly.

I ignore his words and kneel down beside him. I put my hands in his shoulder to calm him down. But he glares at me and wraps his hands around my neck, choking me.

"Sen...sei! L-Let... go..!"

His eyes are red. He looks scary as hell as his odd red orbs glare into my eyes. Why are his eyes red?!

"I... I can't...breathe..."

I'm running out of air. He's choking me to death. What has gotten into him.

"Sensei!...sensei!" I try my best to call out to him. "Snap...out of it!"

He doesn't seem to listen. His hands tightens its grip around my neck. Tears are forming in my eyes.

I'm still in my Buttercup form. I use my brute strength to pull away his hands. Although I do that, it's still not working. He's... too strong.

"Sen...sei... calm down...please... you...you're killing me!"

Upon hearing that, his eyes turn back to their normal green color and he releases his hands from my neck.

I choke gasping for air. Sensei is sweating, too.

"What has gotten into you all of sudden?! Don't you realize what you just did?" I yell at him.

"Keep your distance away, Kaoru...I'm sorry... it wasn't me. It was... someone else. Stay away from me" he says.

"Sensei, what happened? Tell me!"

"I said stay away from me!" His eyes turn to red again but he closes them shut and hold his head.

"Run...Kaoru. Run...don't come near me"

Run? It seems to be a smart choice in this situation. But I cannot leave him like this. I've got to help him!

"Sensei..."

"I've warned you, haven't I?" He lifts his head up. His eyes are scarlet red. They look so damn dangerous.

"Die" he says as he charges towards me while laughing like a maniac.

I lift myself up in the air to avoid his attacks. This is crazy! I try to dodge his hits as best as I can. I know this isn't going to last long. Sooner or later, he'll get me and I'll finally get the chance to meet Satan for real.

He takes hold of my legs and pulls me down, crashing me to the ground. He gets on top of me while chuckling evilly. His eyes burn bright red.

He traces his sharp kunai on my cheeks but not enough to cut me... yet. He moves the weapon to my neck in attempt to murder me.

"Sensei. I know you're still in there! Listen to me! Don't let whoever that is take control over you! Sensei! I know you can do it!"

"Shut up, vile woman"

"Listen to me...please... I know that you're still in there somewhere. I believe in you!" I say, staring deep into his red eyes. There is softness in them... I can see through it.

"Be yourself! Come back to your senses! Don't give yourself up!" I keep trying to bring him back. He is listening... I must..!

"Please... come back to me. I hate to admit but... I want you by my side. I need you to be here in my life!"

He shuts his eyes and holds his head in his hands. A trace of dark aura coming out leaving his body and go through the window. Those auras... don't tell me..!

It's from HIM!

Things are starting to make sense. Sensei had been controlled by HIM. That's why he wasn't himself earlier.

"Ughh..." he groans, rubbing his head. "Finally.."

"Sensei! Welcome back!" I smile brightly.

He snaps open his eyes quickly as if he remembers something serious.

"Fuck! After the auras! Quick!" He says and dashes outside.

"Right!"

I follow him quickly and chase after the dark trace of aura.

"Destroy them, Kaoru!"

"Got it!" I summon my hammer and hit the auras with it. They disappears in an instant.

"Phew... we've done it" I say.

"Good job, Kaoru" he gives me a thumbs up.

I smile and fly down to him. "I'm glad you're okay. Thank goodness" my body moves on its own to hug him without knowing it.

"It all thanks to you, Kaoru" he returns the hug.

"What did you do to get yourself caught up in that mess? Everyone knows damn well not to mess with that #1 villain!"

"Haha... well, who knows?"

"I was so worried... I thought I'd surely die at the moment"

"As if that's gonna happen"

"It almost happened!"

"Yeah... I'm really sorry" he tightens his grip around my waist.

"Hey... it's strange. Normally, when someone had been controlled by him's dark aura, they have no control of themselves. But you... you can fight back and actually remember what happened. How is that possible?"

"You have to find out if you want to know, yeah?" He releases and walks back to the cottage with his hands in his pockets.

"Sensei... just... who are you?"

So... basically, Butch had gotten himself involved with HIM so that's where he got the auras.

Yes, he can fight back because he already have some dark aura inside him. That's why his own auras are able to fight against HIM's. And with Kaoru's help, he won and came back to his senses.

The reason as to why he had to get rid of HIM's aura is because, as you already know, that the auras produced by HIM go back to tell HIM what it had encountered. And of course, Butch's secret will be out.

In order not to let that happen, Butch told his apprentice(Kaoru) to destroy the aura before it goes to inform HIM.

We wouldn't want that to happen now, would we? If the HIM knows where Buttercup is, that would cause trouble for them both. That means their lives are at risk and romance ain't gonna bloom 💔😭

Oh? Why had Butch gotten himself involved with HIM? That's a secret which won't be revealed yet 😉
