𝐓he group stood in heavy silence, feeling the weight of sadness and devastation pressing down on them. Their hope, which had once flickered brightly like a candle in the dark, was now fading once again, leaving them in a shadow of despair.
Na-hee sat on the ground a little farther away from the group, her head pounding as headaches came and went, making her vision blur.
Nam-ra was with Na-hee, unable to shake off her concern for the girl. She kneeled down beside her, her brow furrowed with worry.
"They abandoned us, didn't they?" Hyo-ryung finally spoke up, her voice trembling as she sobbed. "No one is going to save us." she added, tears streaming down her face like a river of sorrow.
"Why would they do that?" Gyeong-su asked, his voice low and filled with disbelief, as if he were trying to grasp the reality of their situation.
"They thought we were all already zombies" Wu-jin replied bitterly, his gaze sweeping over their bleak surroundings that mirrored their despair.
"They would have killed us." Joon-yeong insisted, his eyes wide with fear. "They wouldn't have left us alive if they really believed that."
The group fell silent once more, each person lost in their own thoughts, struggling to accept the harsh reality that they were alone and abandoned in a world that had turned its back on them.
In a fit of anger, Cheong-san rushed toward the fire, stomping on it furiously as if trying to extinguish the flames of his frustration.
Na-hee lifted her head, watching him with a sense of hopelessness. She understood why Cheong-san was so angry, it mirrored her own feelings of helplessness.
On-jo quickly stepped in, scolding him. "What are you doing?" she exclaimed, trying to pull him away from the flames.
Cheong-san, overwhelmed by his emotions, pushed her away angrily, his face flushed with rage.
"It's pointless! No one's coming. No one else is coming!" he shouted, his voice filled with despair. He then turned away from On-jo and began kicking nearby objects in a fit of rage, screaming out his frustration into the empty air.
Suddenly, a thunderstorm erupted, and the loud cracks of thunder caused Nam-ra to cover her ears in pain. The noise was so intense that it felt like the thunder was piercing right through her.
Na-hee widened her eyes as she saw Nam-ra covering her ears in distress. Realizing the urgency of the situation, she quickly moved closer and gently placed her hands over Nam-ra's ears, trying to shield her from the overwhelming sound.
"Are you okay, Nam-ra?" Na-hee asked, her voice filled with concern.
"My ears... it hurts" Nam-ra replied, tears streaming down her face as she sobbed in pain, her body trembling with fear.
Na-hee took off her jacket and her cardigan, slowly tearing a strip from her shirt to fashion a makeshift ear protector. She worked quickly, her hands shaking slightly as she focused on helping her friend.
"Here, take this" Na-hee said softly, offering the makeshift ear protection to Nam-ra.
Nam-ra nodded, accepting the fabric from Na-hee's hand with gratitude. She pressed it against her ears, thankful for Na-hee's kindness, even as worry gnawed at her insides. At least it would help muffle the sound, if only for a little while, offering her a brief respite from the chaos around them.
Suddenly, a drop of water fell on Na-hee's face. "It's raining!" Dae-su announced, looking up at the darkening sky with a mix of surprise and excitement in his voice. "It's pouring!" he added, grinning as the first few drops began to fall more steadily.
Na-hee extended her hand to catch the falling droplets, feeling the cool water refresh her skin.
Dae-su and Wu-jin lay on the cold ground, staring up at the sky as the rain poured down on them. A mix of slight happiness and deep sadness washed over the group, creating a heavy atmosphere. Nearby, the other girls sat close together, each feeling the weight of the distress that this night had brought.
Na-hee gathered her jacket and cardigan in one hand as she helped Nam-ra up, urging her to move toward the others. It was best if they stayed close together, especially knowing that Gwi-nam could return for another act of revenge at any moment.
As they approached the group, Na-hee led Nam-ra into a corner, where they could huddle together for warmth and comfort. Su-hyeok walked toward Na-hee, his eyes scanning her worriedly. He noticed that her white shirt was slightly ripped.
"Are you okay, Na-hee?" he asked, concern lacing his voice as the rain continued to pour down around them.
Na-hee nodded, forcing a smile despite the heaviness in her heart. "I'm fine." she replied softly, but the tremor in her voice betrayed her.
Su-hyeok took her cardigan as he helped Na-hee put it on and her jacket, gently draping them over her shoulders to shield her from the chill. "You might start shivering." he said, his gesture warming Na-hee's heart. She felt a wave of gratitude wash over her, appreciating his kindness in such a dire moment.
Cheong-san glanced over at them, his expression blank as jealousy crept into his mind. He felt a knot tighten in his stomach, but he quickly tried to shake it off, searching for a way to escape the overwhelming feelings surrounding them.
He then walked over to Joon-yeong, attempting to clear his mind. "Joon-yeong." he called, catching his attention. "You know how zombies follow us if they hear us?" he continued, his voice steady despite the chaos. "What if we move every time there's thunder? They might not be able to hear us."
Joon-yeong stood in silence, both of them watching the devastated group around them. "I don't think anyone is coming to save us." Cheong-san said, turning to face him again.
"Wouldn't you rather die trying to get out than die here?" His words carried a sense of determination that sparked something in Joon-yeong.
Looking back at Cheong-san, Joon-yeong's expression shifted to one of resolve. "All right then, what do you have in mind?" he asked, ready to listen. Cheong-san pointed in a direction.
"If we take the back door of the auditorium to the tennis courts." he explained, "and then go through the English center, we can reach the mountain." Joon-yeong followed Cheong-san's finger with his gaze, considering the path he suggested. After a moment, he nodded, clearly impressed by the plan.
Everyone gathered in a corner, listening intently to Cheong-san's plan as the rain continued to pour around them, creating a backdrop to their anxious thoughts.
"If we manage to reach the mountain, we can make it all the way to Yangdong" On-jo began, trying to instill some hope in the group. However, Wu-jin shook his head nervously.
"Even still, isn't this suicide?" he added, his voice trembling with fear.
"I'm not going. I'm scared. What are we going to do if the zombies catch us?" Hyo-ryung chimed in, her anxiety evident in her wide eyes.
Cheong-san remained resolute. "It's not like anyone is going to save us if we stay here." he insisted, his voice firm. "We're the only ones who can save ourselves." He exchanged a determined glance with Joon-yeong, who nodded in agreement.
Cheong-san stepped into the middle of the group, looking at everyone with determination. His gaze softened for a moment as it landed on Na-hee. "Let's go. If anything goes wrong, I'll scream and lead the zombies away." he declared, his voice steady and unwavering.
"That way, none of you will get hurt, okay?" he finished with a firm nod. "So let's do this." An awful silence fell over the group, the weight of their situation hanging heavily in the air, punctuated only by the sound of the rain.
Na-hee looked up at Cheong-san, her expression silently disagreeing with his willingness to sacrifice himself. Cheong-san noticed her concern and felt a pang of guilt.
"Don't say that." Su-hyeok interjected, standing up with his back against the wall, his voice filled with conviction.
"We're all going to make it," he assured Cheong-san, his tone steady and reassuring.
Cheong-san met Su-hyeok's gaze, determination etched on his face. "If anyone has to die tonight, it will be me." he stated firmly, a hint of desperation in his voice.
Na-hee and Cheong-san locked eyes, and she shook her head, unwilling to accept his words. "Because of the rain, all the scents are mixed up," Nam-ra spoke up quietly, her voice cutting through the tension like a knife.
Na-hee cleared her throat as the rain continued to pour down, drenching everything in its path. "You're not sacrificing yourself, Cheong-san." she said firmly. Cheong-san's gaze was fixed on her, his eyes revealing a hint of vulnerability that made her heart ache.
"I won't let you." Na-hee insisted, her voice steady despite the chaos around them.
A heavy silence fell over the group, but Dae-su broke it with a thoughtful expression.
"If what the half-bie says, it must be reliable" Dae-su commented on Nam-ra earlier, his brow furrowed in contemplation.
"What's a half-bie?" Su-hyeok asked, glancing curiously at Dae-su.
"A half zom-" Dae-su began, but then he noticed Nam-ra staring at him and Na-hee with a piercing gaze. He quickly corrected himself, "-someone you can rely on."
"Are you guys ready?" Dae-su asked, looking around the group. Cheong-san nodded, determination etched on his face.
"Nam-ra is strong. They'll keep up. Let's take their word and go." Dae-su encouraged, his confidence growing with each passing moment.
"I'm not strong right now." Nam-ra admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. She glanced down at her hands, feeling the weight of uncertainty pressing down on her.
"Why not?" Ji-min asked, concern evident in her eyes as she turned to look at Nam-ra.
"I don't know..." Nam-ra replied truthfully, her voice tinged with vulnerability.
"I think some of us might not be able to keep pace." Ji-min said, her worry evident as she glanced at Cheong-san, who looked equally troubled.
"We can't have anyone fall behind. Let's pair up and hold hands for protection." Cheong-san suggested, his voice steady despite the rain pouring down around them.
"Okay." Dae-su agreed, reaching out to Hyo-ryung. However, she looked at him oddly and instead paired with Ji-min, leaving Dae-su momentarily confused and a bit hurt.
Na-hee hugged her legs to her chest, shivering from the cold as the rain soaked through her clothes. Cheong-san's gaze remained fixed on her, and he took a step closer, his heart racing.
The group watched his movements with a mix of curiosity and tension. He stopped in front of Na-hee, his expression softening.
Na-hee looked up at Cheong-san, her heart fluttering. He extended his hand, a gentle invitation. "Let's pair up?" he asked, his voice warm and sincere.
Su-hyeok felt a surge of jealousy clench his jaw as he watched Cheong-san. He had intended to be the first to reach Na-hee, but now he hesitated, caught in a moment of frustration.
Na-hee glanced between Cheong-san's hand and his face, weighing her options. Finally, she took his hand, and he helped her stand up, his touch sending a shiver down her spine. Cheong-san caressed her hand with his thumb, a shy smile spreading across his face.
"Yo, Cheong-san, stop looking like you're lovestruck." Dae-su teased, a playful grin on his lips. The comment made Cheong-san blush, and the teasing atmosphere only intensified the jealousy simmering among the others.
Hyo-ryung and Ji-min exchanged amused glances, laughter bubbling up as they witnessed Cheong-san's flustered expression. "They look good together." Hyo-ryung whispered to Ji-min, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"I think Na-hee looks good with Su-hyeok." Ji-min commented, a hint of mischief in her tone.
Wu-jin, who stood beside them, couldn't help but clench his fist in frustration. The tension in the air was palpable, and he felt a mix of emotions swirling within him as he watched the unfolding dynamics of the group.
Cheong-san quietly opened the rooftop door and peeked outside to check for any nearby zombies. His hands interlocked with Na-hee's.
Luckily, outside, there were no zombies in sight, the only thing surrounding the school was the darkness. He stepped out cautiously, glancing back to signal for the others to follow him.
"Careful, careful." Wu-jin whispered to Joon-yeong, recalling how Joon-yeong had accidentally dropped a pink tumbler earlier, creating a loud noise that had nearly given them away.
As they took another step down, Cheong-san suddenly stopped and raised his hand, indicating that there were zombies on that floor. Na-hee could hear their low sneers and shuffling footsteps echoing ominously in the darkness, sending chills down her spine.
"It's gone." On-jo whispered, her voice barely audible as they slowly continued down the steps, each footfall feeling like a countdown to disaster.
Wu-jin, trying to be quiet, accidentally made a noise and almost lost his balance. Fortunately, Joon-yeong was there to catch him just in time, their eyes wide with shared panic.
Na-hee winced at the sound, feeling a wave of anxiety wash over her as Cheong-san signaled for them to move to the other side of the wall. They followed his lead, trying to stay as quiet as possible, hearts pounding in unison.
Finally, they reached the outside and huddled together, waiting for Cheong-san to check if it was safe. The air felt thick with tension, every breath a reminder of the danger lurking nearby.
Just then, Wu-jin stumbled and accidentally made a noise with the wooden weapon in his hand. The group quickly ducked down, their hearts racing as they held their breath.
Dae-su was about to look up when Su-hyeok, sensing the tension, instinctively lowered his head. "Hey, stay low." he urged in a steady but urgent voice. They all lay down, straining to listen for any signs of danger, hoping that their careful movements would keep them hidden from the lurking zombies.
They moved carefully along the wall, following Cheong-san's signal to avoid the zombie ahead. After a few tense moments, they found shelter behind an old truck.
"I'll go first." Dae-su said confidently, but Cheong-san had already volunteered to take the lead.
Na-hee looked at him, their eyes locking for a brief moment, a silent understanding passing between them.
"Stay safe, okay?" Na-hee told Cheong-san, her voice barely above a whisper. He nodded, gently caressing her hand before stepping forward.
Cheong-san stood up, but what he saw next left him confused and horrified. It was his mother, but she had been transformed into a zombie, her once warm eyes now cold and lifeless.
"Mom." Cheong-san muttered, his voice barely above a whisper, filled with disbelief. The zombified figure of his mother snarled at him, thrashing about in a desperate attempt to reach her son.
"Mom!" he called again, his heart racing as he tried to climb into the truck to get closer to her. But On-jo, filled with anxiety, pulled him back down just in time, her grip firm yet gentle.
Su-hyeok and Na-hee moved closer to Cheong-san, drawn by the commotion, their expressions a mix of concern and fear.
However, Na-hee froze as she recognized the zombie. Dae-su, unaware of the true identity of the creature before him, slid under the truck, clutching a metal pipe in his hand, ready to defend his friends.
Na-hee felt her heart drop at the sight, the zombie was Cheong-san's mom.
"What the hell?" Dae-su exclaimed, his eyes widening as he saw the zombie fall to the ground. The small metal pipe slipped from his grip, clattering away into the darkness.
In a panic, Dae-su shoved the zombie toward the truck, but Cheong-san's mother lunged at him, teeth bared and snarling. Reacting instinctively, Dae-su kicked her back to the ground, his heart pounding in his chest. On-jo stood up, her breath hitching as she too realized who the zombie was.
Na-hee covered her mouth with her hands, her eyes widening in shock. "There's a zombie here!" Dae-su shouted, still grappling with Cheong-san's mother, oblivious to the truth of the situation. He continued to strike the zombie with the metal pipe.
Joon-yeong slid into the truck, joining Dae-su in the struggle, his face etched with determination.
"I said stop that!" Cheong-san yelled, his voice filled with anguish as he charged up the truck, knocking Dae-su aside in a desperate attempt to reach his mother.
"You son of a bitch!" Cheong-san shouted, rage and sorrow intertwining in his voice, tears streaming down his face.
Dae-su, finally realizing the gravity of the situation, managed to push Cheong-san away from him, his expression shifting from anger to horror.
Gyeong-su rushed toward the chaotic scene, his voice rising above the chaos. "Hey, stop, guys!" he yelled, desperation lacing his tone as he tried to regain control.
The others quickly moved to intervene, with Su-hyeok and Na-hee holding Cheong-san back as he struggled against their grip, tears of frustration and grief streaming down his face.
Na-hee hugged Cheong-san tightly, her heart breaking at the sight of his mother being the zombie in front of them and hearing Cheong-san's desperate cries.
"Stop! Get off!" Cheong-san yelled in frustration, his voice laced with desperation as he thrashed around in Na-hee and Su-hyeok's hold.
"Mom!" he managed to cry out, the pain in his voice cutting through the chaos. At the sound of his voice, Dae-su and Wu-jin stopped beating his zombified mother, their expressions filled with shock and regret as the reality of the situation sank in.
A heavy silence hung in the air, broken only by the sinister sneers of Cheong-san's mother, who was slowly crawling toward him.
Na-hee remembered her first encounter with Cheong-san's mother, she had been a wonderful woman who made Na-hee feel comfortable and welcomed. Na-hee felt her eyes getting teary at the memories.
In the distance, Na-hee saw zombies approaching, their shuffling closer, and she urgently urged everyone to run away.
"Run!" Su-hyeok shouted, his voice cutting through the tension, and everyone quickly gathered themselves, nervously following his command.
Ji-min and Hyo-ryung sprinted off with the others, their hearts racing. "Let's go, Cheong-san!" On-jo called out to him, her voice laced with concern.
"Pull yourself together, man!" Su-hyeok urged, glancing back at Cheong-san, who was still frozen in despair. Nam-ra stood by, watching them, fully aware of the dangers that were about to come crashing down on them.
"Where is na- the others?" Joon-yeong asked nervously, his words shaky.
"What?" Dae-su stopped in his tracks, and so did the others, confusion etched on their faces.
"Where are they?" Joon-yeong continued to ask, his voice filled with concern, panic rising in his chest.
"Did you see them coming?" Dae-su added, feeling scared for the others, his heart pounding in his ears.
"Cheong-san, please come with us." On-jo said as she helped him up, her grip firm yet gentle.
"Stay strong, Cheong-san, please." Na-hee urged, her eyes pleading as the three of them pulled him up and finally started to run away.
They all fled from that spot, Cheong-san sobbing as they ran. He looked back at his zombified mother, sadness filling his heart. "Mom!" Cheong-san yelled out in desperation, his voice cracking with emotion. On-jo and the others pulled him close as zombies began to run toward them.
They finally made it to the others, who were anxiously waiting for them. "They're finally here! Hurry, hurry!" Dae-su shouted in a panic, his voice rising above the chaos. As soon as Dae-su said that, they all started running again, but Wu-jin fell down once more, his legs giving way beneath him.
"Wu-jin!" Joon-yeong called out loudly as he rushed to help him. "Come on! We have to go! Let's go!" His urgency was palpable, a lifeline in the midst of the chaos.
The others ran as fast as they could, adrenaline pumping through their veins, while Na-hee slowed her pace to observe them, her heart racing with fear.
Suddenly, Hyo-ryung fell to the ground, her body aching from the impact. Na-hee turned her head around just in time to see Ji-min rushing to help Hyo-ryung, but in the distance, a zombie loomed in the shadows.
Hyo-ryung raised her hands, begging for help, her face twisted in pain. Na-hee quickly rushed toward her, managing to help her up, while Ji-min slowly backed away, fear evident on her face as she kept her eyes on the approaching zombie.
Na-hee held Hyo-ryung close as she tried to lift her, but Hyo-ryung winced in pain from her fall, tears brimming in her eyes.
In a panic, Ji-min ran away to the other side. "Ji-min!" Na-hee yelled, trying to signal her to come back. The zombie then charged toward the two of them, causing both Na-hee and Hyo-ryung to scream in terror.
Na-hee let go of Hyo-ryung and collided her body with the zombie, trying to buy her some time. She quickly gathered herself and urged Hyo-ryung, "Let's go!"
As Na-hee crawled toward Hyo-ryung, the zombie grabbed her legs and pulled her back, a horrifying scream left from her lips.
"Na-hee!" Hyo-ryung screamed in terror, her voice filled with desperation.
Then suddenly, a body collided with the zombie, it was Wu-jin. Just then, as the zombie began to advance again, an arrow pierced through its head, and the creature fell to the ground with a sickening thud.
Wu-jin held Na-hee gently as he helped her up, concern etched on his face. The three of them looked in the direction of the arrow, their breaths hitching in unison.
Wu-jin's eyes widened as he recognized who it was. It was his sister.
Na-hee and the others managed to flee into the gym, joining the rest of their group. Just as they thought they had escaped the zombies, another disaster struck.
Nam-ra felt her breath hitch in her throat as her eyes darted around the dimly lit gym, scanning for any signs of danger.
"What's wrong, Namra?" Joon-yeong asked, his own breathing heavy and nervous, sensing the tension in the air.
"We need to hide quickly." she urged, her voice trembling with urgency, her heart racing as the shadows seemed to close in around them.
Joon-yeong could sense the gravity of the situation, his breath caught in his throat as he processed her words.
"Let's run." Namra managed to say, her voice steady despite the chaos swirling around them.
Suddenly, a loud clap of thunder echoed outside, illuminating the gym for a brief moment. In that flash of light, a horde of zombies was revealed, lurking within the shadows, their forms sending chills down their spines.
"Oh, shit." Park Mi-jin muttered, panic creeping into her voice as she took in the horrifying sight, her eyes widening in fear.
"Run!" Su-hyeok shouted, his voice filled with anxiety as he urged everyone to move, the urgency of the moment pressing down on them.
"Over here! This way!" Jang Ha-ri called out, urgently signaling for everyone to hurry into a nearby room, her heart pounding in her chest.
Na-hee turned around and saw Mi-jin struggling to push her friend forward. He was urging her to escape, desperately telling her to join the others. In a brave move, he grabbed onto a zombie's feet, trying to hold it back and buy Mi-jin some precious time to get away.
Su-hyeok, Ha-ri, and Na-hee quickly stepped in to hold Mi-jin back as she pleaded with them to let her go. "No! I can't leave him!" she cried, tears streaming down her face as she watched her friend being overwhelmed by the zombies, her heart breaking at the sight his struggle.
The sound of growls and snarls filled the air, mixing with Mi-jin's cries. Na-hee felt a surge of desperation as she held Mi-jin tightly, trying to keep her from rushing back into the chaos.
"Please, we have to go!" Na-hee urged, her voice trembling with emotion.
After they all managed to get inside the safe room, a heavy silence fell over them as they processed their narrow escape from the zombies.
They quickly caught their breaths, but even though the immediate danger had passed, a sense of unease lingered, trapping them in the small, dimly lit room.
The silent cries of Mi-jin and Cheong-san echoed throughout the room, filling everyone with a deep sadness as they mourned their loss. Each sob felt like a reminder of the horrors they had just faced.
Na-hee sat curled up in the corner, her back pressed against the cold wall. She glanced over at Cheong-san, his face etched with grief, and felt a sudden wave of empathy wash over her.
Hugging her knees to her chest, Na-hee rested her face against them, a deep sigh escaped her lips as she felt the coldness and darkness of the room.
Na-hee took a good look at everyone around her, their faces reflecting her own sadness. The weight of overwhelming emotions filled the room. She could see the fear in their eyes, the uncertainty of what lay ahead.
However, Na-hee felt that something, or someone, was missing. She focused her gaze again, and her eyes widened slightly as a chill ran down her spine. Ji-min was missing.
Na-hee felt her breath catch in her throat, panic rising within her. If only she had managed to get Ji-min to stop in time, she thought desperately, she wouldn't have been lost.
"I hate this." Na-hee whispered to herself, her voice barely audible in the heavy silence. It was scary.
She felt small and vulnerable, like a child again, hopeless and dependent on others for safety and comfort. The darkness of the room seemed to close in around her, amplifying her fears.
Na-hee woke up after leaning against the cold wall behind her, her back aching. She blinked her eyes and looked around the crowded room, everyone was asleep, tired from what had happened earlier.
Na-hee found herself staring at Cheong-san across from her, he was asleep, his back leaning against the cold wall.
It was still nighttime, and she couldn't help but stare into space. This nightmare was far from over. Na-hee hugged her legs, feeling vulnerable in this situation, but she knew that being scared wouldn't help her. Still, she couldn't shake off the fear, she was just good at hiding it.
Suddenly, she felt someone staring at her. She turned her head and saw Wu-jin, who shuffled as he sat there, staring at Na-hee.
Na-hee blinked, feeling uneasy at the intensity of his gaze. Wu-jin carefully moved closer and sat right next to her.
"How are you feeling?" Na-hee asked with a hint of a smile.
"I'm doing okay." he replied. "I was glad we were able to find my sister." he told Na-hee truthfully, glancing at his sister before looking back at her.
"How about you? Are you okay?" Wu-jin asked, concern evident in his voice as he placed his hand on her shoulder.
Na-hee nodded. "Kinda. Thanks for saving me and Hyo-ryung earlier." she said, grateful. Wu-jin smiled back at Na-hee.
Wu-jin gazed at Na-hee longingly, this was a perfect moment, just him and Na-hee together, with no one to disturb them, not even Oh Joon-yeong
Wu-jin noticed how she fidgeted with her hands when she was scared and how she bit her lip when she got nervous. Na-hee had him hooked.
It was also the right moment to make a move.
"Na-hee." Wu-jin called out to her. Na-hee turned her head to look at him and responded.
"I love you." he blurted out. The usual nervousness that Wu-jin felt suddenly vanished when it came to Na-hee. He loved that feeling.
Meanwhile, Na-hee felt her eyes widen in shock at his confession. She felt nervous and cowered under his gaze.
I mean, is it really the appropriate time to confess like this? I guess for Wu-jin, it is.
"I love you, Kim Na-hee." Wu-jin repeated, his gaze holding Na-hee in place, his tone full of seriousness.
Na-hee noticed how, even in the dark, his eyes glinted with a darkness of their own, as if issuing a warning.
Wasn't she supposed to be happy that Wu-jin liked her too? Why did Na-hee feel uncertain and, mostly, uncomfortable?
"Sorry, I'm just really shocked. That came out all of a sudden." Na-hee replied as she looked around. "When did your feelings start?" she asked Wu-jin.
Wu-jin fixed his posture, seeming to really like that question. Na-hee looked at Wu-jin, confused by his sudden energy.
"From the start, when we first met." Wu-jin began, love-struck in his eyes as he leaned closer. "It felt like love at first sight." he continued. "I just felt like I needed more of you."
Wow. That's, uh... unexpected?
As Na-hee was about to respond, sickening words slipped out of Wu-jin's mouth, "The thought of you loving someone else makes me fucking sick." He blurted this out, his eyes seemingly searching for Na-hee's affection.
Na-hee felt herself go silent at his words. The way he spoke sounded aggressive, truthful, and threatening. She didn't feel safe with Jang Wu-jin, who she had thought she could feel comfortable on.
Wu-jin placed a hand under her chin, but Na-hee looked away, his words still weighing heavily on her. As Na-hee turned her gaze, Wu-jin didn't like that one bit.
He would do whatever it took he wouldn't let himself die this time.
