𝐋ee Cheong-san and Kim Na-hee were still sprinting away from Yoon Gwi-nam, who was hot on their heels, his furious screams echoing behind them.

There was only one goal, don't let Gwi-nam catch you.

It felt as if Na-hee had experienced this moment before, a strange sense of déjà vu washing over her.

Na-hee's hand was interlocked tightly with Cheong-san's as they dashed down the dimly lit hallway. Not only was Gwi-nam running after them, but the zombies were also closing in.

It was a real bummer.

Suddenly, a zombie burst out of a classroom, colliding with the two of them and sending them sprawling onto the cold floor.

Pain shot through Na-hee's hand, but she pushed it aside, focusing on the urgency of their escape.

Cheong-san quickly kicked the zombie away, his instincts kicking in as he scrambled to help Na-hee back to her feet. They had to move fast, every second counted as Gwi-nam and the zombies drew nearer.

Once again, they bolted down the hallway, their footsteps echoing loudly against the walls, drawing more attention from the zombies lurking in the corners.

"Shit!" Na-hee exclaimed in panic, her brows furrowing as the pain in her hand throbbed, but she forced herself to ignore it. They had to keep going.

"Come here!" Gwi-nam yelled, his voice filled with rage, which only fueled their adrenaline and made them run faster than they ever had during p.e class.

Gwi-nam picked up his knife, which had fallen to the ground during the chaotic encounter with the zombie. He gripped it tightly, his anger boiling inside him, fixating on Lee Cheong-san.

Na-hee and Cheong-san dashed into the library, exchanging nervous glances at the sight of the zombies lurking inside.

The zombies growled and snarled, their eyes fixated on the two. Without a moment's hesitation, they scrambled atop a nearby bookshelf, where a male student was already perched, his face a mask of fear and anxiety.

"Shit. Uh, hi?" Na-hee managed to utter as she climbed up beside him, trying to catch her breath.

Just then, Gwi-nam burst into the library, his eyes immediately locking onto Na-hee. He shoved zombies aside. Na-hee's heart raced in her chest as she glanced back at Gwi-nam, panic setting in as she weighed her options.

"What kind of a sick tag game is this?" Na-hee exclaimed, her voice laced with exhaustion and disbelief.

As Cheong-san and Na-hee perched atop the shelf, the male student spoke to them in a panicked whisper. "Were you guys bitten? You were bitten, right?" His eyes darted between them, filled with anxiety.

Before either of them could respond, the male student suddenly shoved them, causing Cheong-san to lose his balance and tumble off the bookshelf, landing on the chaos below.

Na-hee managed to cling to the edge, her heart pounding as she fought against the pain in her hand to pull herself back up, facing the male student once more.

He backed away slowly, fear evident in his wide eyes. "What the hell was that for?!" Na-hee snapped at him, irritation bubbling to the surface. She was clearly annoyed, her patience wearing thin in the face of the danger.

Na-hee looked down at Cheong-san, who was visibly shocked by the sudden shove. Concern etched on her face, she called out,

"Cheong-san, you okay?" But before he could respond, someone else made their way up onto the bookshelf.

It was Gwi-nam. Na-hee's heart sank as she looked back at him in urgency. "Shit." she mumbled, sweat trickling down her forehead as panic surged through her.

Without hesitation, Gwi-nam shoved the male student off the bookshelf, sending him tumbling into the chaos below, where the zombies showed no mercy.

Na-hee perched there in shock, unable to process the brutality of the moment.

Gwi-nam turned his gaze toward her, a dark satisfaction flickering in his eyes.

"Na-hee, run!" Cheong-san shouted from below, his voice filled with desperation as he began to sprint away from the zombies.

As Gwi-nam launched himself toward her, Na-hee instinctively jumped to another bookshelf, her heart pounding in her chest with anxiety.

Cheong-san dodged the grasping hands of the zombies, desperately searching for a way to climb up and protect Na-hee from Gwi-nam.

Na-hee continued to leap from one bookshelf to another, Gwi-nam hot on her heels. "Stop it, Gwi-nam!" she yelled, holding her hands out in front of her as if to ward him off.

Just then, Cheong-san managed to scramble onto a bookshelf. Na-hee caught a glimpse of him and yelled out in panic, "Cheong-san, duck!" As she shouted, Cheong-san instinctively ducked, and a zombie flew over him, crashing into the ceiling light with a loud shatter before falling to the ground in a heap.

Na-hee glanced back at Gwi-nam, anxiety gripping her. He was now climbing onto another bookshelf, just one away from her.

"Gwi-nam, cut it out!" Cheong-san shouted, his voice filled with urgency as he tried to reason with him, knowing the danger that lay ahead.

"Give me Na-hee." Gwi-nam demanded, his eyes glaring at her with an intensity that made her furrow her brows in confusion and concern.

Cheong-san clenched his fists, his heart racing. "Are you not talking about the fact that you killed Mr. Song and the principal?" he countered, trying to shift the focus away from Na-hee.

"You killed them! You're a murderer!" Cheong-san retorted, his voice rising with anger.

"You made me kill them!" Gwi-nam shot back, frustration boiling over in his tone. "You wanted proof that I wasn't a coward!"

"You're insane." Na-hee said firmly, her glare piercing through Gwi-nam's bravado.

In an instant, both Cheong-san and Gwi-nam rushed toward Na-hee at the same time. Gwi-nam managed to grab Cheong-san, sending him tumbling to the ground below. The zombies, sensing him, immediately turned their attention to him.

A wave of concern and fear washed over Na-hee as she glared at Gwi-nam, her heart racing for Cheong-san's safety.

With exhaustion creeping in, Na-hee slowly and carefully jumped onto another bookshelf, swallowing the lump in her throat as she stared back at Gwi-nam, who was now just two bookshelves away from her.

What heightened her anxiety was the realization that some zombies had managed to make the bookshelf she was on sway. She needed to move to another shelf quickly. As she prepared to jump, Gwi-nam caught her off guard, his sudden movement sending a chill down her spine.

Na-hee found herself caught in a chokehold grip, his smirk radiating a twisted satisfaction. Panic surged within her as she struggled to free herself, but before she could make a move, Gwi-nam leaned in closer, whispering into her ear,

"If you do that, I'll throw you to the zombies, and they will rip you apart. Every part of you." His voice was low and menacing, sending chills racing down Na-hee's spine.

"And it will be game over for you."

She froze, her heart pounding in her chest as a wave of hopelessness washed over her. Anger bubbled beneath the surface, but she felt trapped, unable to act against him without risking her own life.

Na-hee could only be frozen there, feeling a mix of fear and fury directed at Gwi-nam, who reveled in her distress.

"What do you want?" Na-hee asked, her voice trembling slightly as a gasp escaped her lips.

The zombies below made the bookshelf sway dangerously, heightening her sense of dread.

"You." Gwi-nam stated, as if it were the most obvious answer in the world.

"Get off me, Gwi-nam! It's not funny!" Na-hee snapped, anger flaring within her as she struggled against his grip.

"Can't you really remember anything" Gwi-nam suddenly asked, his tone shifting, a hint of desperation creeping in.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Na-hee shot back, annoyance lacing her words.

"Are you hoping I'll remember some romantic love for you? Guess what? I don't." Her voice was firm, but inside, she felt a mix of confusion and frustration.

In a swift motion, Gwi-nam gripped her face tightly, his anger palpable. "Bold of you to say that. I'll throw you off here right now" he threatened, his eyes dark with intensity.

"You're not where you think you are right now." he added, his voice low and menacing.

Na-hee felt one of her eyebrows lift in skepticism, her heart rracing, she could feel the weight of the moment pressing down on her.

The wave of headache came again, which made Na-hee feel even more irritated, what's with the headache happening in this type of dangerous situations?

"Let's die together then."

Na-hee's eyes went wide, her blood running cold at Gwi-nam's words. Fear coursed through her veins, and for a moment, she felt paralyzed.

Then suddenly, a voice rang out, cutting through the tension like a knife. "Na-hee, duck!" Without a second thought, she instinctively dropped to the bookshelf, her heart racing.

In that split second, Cheong-san, who had been scrambling to regain his footing, seized the opportunity. He reached up, grabbing the ceiling light above them with both hands. With a surge of determination, he smashed it down onto Gwi-nam, the glass shattering with a deafening crash.

The sound echoed through the library, and Na-hee looked up just in time to see the light crashing down, shards of glass glinting in the dim light.

Gwi-nam stumbled back, momentarily stunned, giving Na-hee and Cheong-san a precious moment to regroup amidst the chaos.

Gwi-nam ran after the two, leaping from one bookshelf to another, determined not to let Na-hee escape him again. The adrenaline coursed through his veins, fueling his relentless pursuit.

He quickly caught up to Cheong-san, grabbing the fabric of his clothes and yanking him down onto the shelf. Gwi-nam lowered Cheong-san's head toward the zombies lurking beneath them, a taunting smile spreading across his face as he reveled in the fear he was instilling.

Gwi-nam glanced over at Na-hee, who was on the other shelf, her eyes widening in horror for Cheong-san.

"Should I kill him, Na-hee?" he asked, the same sinister smirk creeping back onto his lips.

Cheong-san thrashed in Gwi-nam's grip, his gaze darting to the zombies below, panic etched across his features.

"Stop it, Gwi-nam!" Na-hee shouted, her voice trembling with fear.

"Na-hee, go!" Cheong-san urged, his voice filled with desperation. Na-hee shook her head, defiance rising within her.

"Screw me getting away, Cheong-san." Na-hee uttered, determination lacing her words despite the fear gripping her heart.

In an instant, Gwi-nam launched himself toward Na-hee, leaving Cheong-san hanging precariously on the bookshelf. Cheong-san gasped, nearly losing his balance and falling into the waiting jaws of the zombies below.

Na-hee thrashed beneath Gwi-nam, her eyes blazing with anger and defiance. "There's no getting away" Gwi-nam taunted, his voice dripping with malice. "It's your fate!"

As the shelf swayed ominously under the weight of the chaos, Na-hee felt her anxiety spike. "Get off of me!" she shouted, a tear slipping down her cheek, mixing with the sweat of fear. The reality of their situation pressed down on her, but she refused to let Gwi-nam see her break.

"Let's die together shall we?"

A hand suddenly interrupted Gwi-nam as he turned around, the phone in Cheong-san's grasp stabbed into his eye.

Gwi-nam stumbled back, shock and pain flashing across his face as he instinctively reached at his eye.

Na-hee seized the moment to break free from his grip, darting toward Cheong-san with a surge of relief and urgency.

Gwi-nam cried out, his voice a mix of rage and agony as crimson blood flowed from his eye, staining his cheek. "Shit!" he shouted desperately, his composure unraveling.

In a burst of adrenaline, Cheong-san pushed Gwi-nam off the bookshelf, sending him tumbling toward the edge of the shelf.

Gwi-nam's body fell into the waiting mass of zombies below, and the creatures immediately turned their attention to him.

"Damn it!"

Gwi-nam screamed in fear and pain, his hands reaching out toward Na-hee as he plummeted. Her eyes widened in shock, a mix of horror and disbelief washing over her as she watched the scene unfold.

"Na-hee, help me!"

The sound of his cries echoed in her ears, and for a brief moment, she felt a pang of sympathy, despite everything he had done.

"I'll kill you. You son of a bitch....

Lee Cheong-san. She's mine."

The zombies came rushing toward Cheong-san and Na-hee after Gwi-nam was gone, the bookshelf shaking violently under the weight of their aggression.

In a moment of panic, Cheong-san grabbed Na-hee's wrist, despite her still trying to process their chaotic situation.

The both of them, leaped onto another bookshelf, launching themselves forward, just as the one behind them began to fall under the pressure of the advancing zombies.

As they jumped, a zombie stumbled onto one of the shelves they were about to land on. Their eyes widened in horror as they both fell, the ground rushing up to meet them. Just as they were about to crash into the floor, they narrowly avoided being crushed by another falling bookshelf, landing amidst a chaotic pile of books that surrounded them.

Na-hee let out a nervous breath, scanning their surroundings frantically for a way out.

Cheong-san pushed against a nearby shelf, but it wouldn't budge, responding with a loud thud that echoed through the chaos. Frustrated, he gave up, his heart racing as the danger closed in.

Suddenly, a zombie lunged at Na-hee, causing both of them to squirm away in fear. More zombies were making their way toward them, their growls growing louder.

Just as they managed to escape from the fallen bookshelf, another zombie nearly launched itself at Cheong-san.

Reacting quickly, Na-hee grabbed a thick book and thrust it toward the zombie's mouth, pushing it away and giving them a crucial chance to run.

They scrambled onto another bookshelf and successfully landed on the ground, panting with relief. Cheong-san spotted a nearby chair and smashed it into the face of a zombie, sending it crashing into the glass with a loud noise that attracted even more zombies.

Realizing the escalating danger, they hurriedly ran away from the library, slamming the door shut behind them.

They let out a sigh of relief, but both knew they weren't safe yet. Cheong-san released his grip on the door, thankful that the zombies couldn't open it.

They caught their breath, staring at the horde of zombies with a mix of fear and determination.

As they turned to flee down the hallway, they spotted more zombies at the far end, forcing them to press back against the wall in terror.

Just then, a zombie snarled behind them. Regaining their composure, they sprinted away, spotting a small space that could fit the two, Cheong-san went first, climbing up carefully and then reaching down to help Na-hee.

But just as she was about to join him, a zombie grabbed her foot. Na-hee kicked out harshly, freeing herself as they both climbed up, narrowly escaping.

Nearby zombies snarled and growled, their hungry eyes fixed on Cheong-san and Na-hee as they climbed. Breathless and terrified, the two exchanged a hopeless glance, the weight of their dire situation sinking in.

In a moment of desperation, Cheong-san pulled out the phone, fumbling to unlock it with trembling hands, hoping for a lifeline.

He pressed the call button, but the screen beeped, indicating that it wasn't working. Panic surged through them as they realized they were truly on their own.

Meanwhile, minutes earlier...

"Look, there's Bare-su!"

"Yah, Lee Suhyeok!"

Dae-su and Wu-jin called out as Su-hyeok carefully lowered himself to enter the room. Once inside, he noticed the two of them rushing toward him, their expressions a mix of concern and urgency.

Dae-su glanced anxiously at the window, searching for Cheong-san and Na-hee, but they were nowhere to be seen.

Wu-jin kept scanning the room, as if expecting something, or someone, to appear at any moment, his heart pounding in his chest.

"Hey, where's the phone?" Ji-min asked, her voice laced with tension.

"Where is Na-hee and Cheong-san?" Wu-jin uttered anxiously, his eyes darting around the room.

Su-hyeok stared blankly at them, unsure of what to say. Guilt washed over him, he felt responsible for their separation.

Dae-su moved toward the window, peering outside with a mix of hope and dread, but all he found were the sounds of growls and snarls from the zombies lurking. He stepped back from the window, curiosity mingling with fear.

On-jo's breath quickened as she rushed to the broken window, peeking outside nervously. Her heart raced as she scanned the area, desperately hoping to see the two return, but there was only emptiness.

Turning around, she locked eyes with Su-hyeok, panic etched across her face.

"Su-hyeok, where are they?" On-jo's voice trembled, her tone dropping to a whisper, as if afraid of the answer.

A heavy silence fell over the room, everyone's anxious gazes fixed on Su-hyeok. He could feel the weight of their expectations pressing down on him, the tension of the situation settling heavily on his shoulders.

He glanced at On-jo, his expression filled with sadness.

"We got separated in the teacher's office. Cheong-san was with Na-hee" Su-hyeok replied, trying to sound positive, but uncertainty laced his words.

"Holy shit!" Wu-jin exclaimed, gripping his hair in frustration as panic surged through him.

On-jo felt her heart sink, they all knew the danger that the two of them were facing, and her worry for Na-hee intensified.

"Are you serious? Oh, shit!" Dae-su exclaimed, his voice trembling with concern.

He and Joon-yeong rushed back to the window, scanning the area again, hoping that Su-hyeok was joking, but the truth hung heavy in the air.

"What the hell are we going to do?!" Gyeong-su let out nervously, his voice rising in pitch.

"I'm sorry... for coming back alone" Su-hyeok said, his voice filled with genuine regret.

Gyeong-su stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Su-hyeok, sharing in the collective worry for their missing friends.

Silence enveloped the room as they tried to process the weight of the news they had just received.

Nam-ra sat in the corner, her eyes glued to the cold floor. Though her expression might not have shown it, she was extremely worried for Na-hee's safety.

"Please be okay" she whispered to herself.

"I knew Na-hee shouldn't have gone out!" Wu-jin blurted out, frustration evident in his tone.

"I know they'll be alright" Joon-yeong added, though uncertainty lingered in his voice.

"What if they get hurt?!" Dae-su exclaimed, his anxiety spilling over.

"Yah! Think on the bright side!" Joon-yeong urged, trying to rally their spirits despite the overwhelming fear that gripped them all.

Meanwhile, the two found themselves in a devastating situation.

Cheong-san screamed in frustration, his voice echoing in the dimly lit room. They had protected the phone with everything they had, only to find it useless in their time of need. Anger coursed through him, a tempest of emotions swirling as he realized that their hope for help had vanished.

There was no service, they can't text nor call for help. The phone was useless.

Tears streamed down his cheeks as despair washed over him, the weight of their situation crashing down like a tidal wave.

Na-hee felt the sting of tears threatening to spill over, but she knew they couldn't give up. With a deep breath, she held back her emotions, willing herself to stay strong.

On-jo stared out the window, the slight breeze causing her hair to dance around her face. She glanced at the helicopters flying overhead, and suddenly an idea sparked in her mind.

With determination, she hurried over to Joon-yeong, who was sitting peacefully, lost in thought.

"Joon-yeong." she called out, urgency lacing her voice. "Didn't you mention that your science club made a drone?"

Joon-yeong's eyes widened in realization as he processed her words. "Yeah! Now that you mention it, we can use it to look for Na-hee and Cheong-san!" His voice was filled with hope.

On-jo felt a surge of adrenaline as they both understood the potential of the drone. They could scan the area from above, searching for any sign of the two.

"But it's in the science lab."

"We can go and get it" On-jo declared, her determination clear. She was willing to do anything to ensure Na-hee and Cheong-san were safe.

Joon-yeong, however, looked uncertain. "How would we get it? It's crawling with zombies out there," he replied, doubt creeping into his voice.

On-jo glanced around the room and spotted the hose they had used earlier. She pointed at it. "That."

"You want me to climb up that?" Joon-yeong asked.

"But there are zombies in the science lab too" Hyo-ryung reminded them nervously, her eyes darting toward the door.

"But there weren't any in the supply room, right?" On-jo countered, her voice filled with hope.

"That's true, but..." The room fell silent for a moment as they exchanged uncertain glances, weighing the risks.

"Hey, we have to find Na-hee and Cheong-san. There's no one else but us to start looking for them and rescue them" On-jo urged, her eyes shining with determination.

The group shared a look of agreement, each feeling the weight of their mission.

Nam-ra was the first to speak up. "Yes, it would be great if we had a drone. We could find Na-hee and Cheong-san, and then we could see what's happening outside. We might even be able to send an emergency message and ask for help." Her voice was steady.

Hyo-ryung nodded in agreement. "Sure, that would be really great. But who's going to go?"

"I want to go" On-jo volunteered, her determination unwavering. "I took a fire rescue class, and I've climbed ropes before." Her voice was filled with confidence.

"No, I'll go" Su-hyeok interjected, standing up with a fierce look in his eyes. He was equally determined to find Na-hee.

"The thing is, the drone isn't finished yet. We need to find a few more parts to make it operational" Joon-yeong explained, breaking the tense atmosphere. "Do you know what we need?"

A moment of silence hung in the air, indicating that no one knew what parts were necessary for the drone. Joon-yeong sighed, his shoulders shrugging slightly.

"Then I have to go anyway, I guess. I'll go with one of you two" he concluded, his voice filled with uncertainty.

"No" Dae-su suddenly spoke up, straightening his posture and looking at Joon-yeong with determination. "I'm going this time, so stand back," he told them firmly.

"But you can't. He can't" Wu-jin interjected, disbelief filling his tone. "The rope won't hold you."

Dae-su went back to his position and seated himself on the edge of the table. "Yeah. Good boy." Wu-jin told him.

"Joon-yeong, come with me" On-jo said to Joon-yeong as he nodded and stood up from his seat.

But Su-hyeok stopped On-jo. "Hey, I said I was going" he told her firmly, his determination evident in his voice.

On-jo opened her mouth to protest, but the intensity in Su-hyeok's gaze silenced her.

Meanwhile, Joon-yeong attempted to climb up to the window by jumping, but he failed and hurt himself. "Ouch." he muttered to himself, embarrassment flooding his cheeks as he returned to the group, his pride slightly bruised.

Not wanting to feel humiliated any further, he quickly scanned the room for a better solution. His eyes landed on a nearby chair. With a determined grunt, he dragged it across the floor, taking a deep breath as he prepared to climb.

As he stepped onto the chair, he felt a mix of anxiety and resolve. He steadied himself, gripping the rope tightly.

"I'm going." Joon-yeong told them, as silence filled the room due to the uneasy tension between On-jo and Su-hyeok, who were arguing over who would go up to the science lab to retrieve the drone.

"Shit" Cheong-san muttered, both he and Na-hee stood dumbstruck when they realized the only escape they had was a small door with a note that said, 'It can't be opened from the inside'

Cheong-san lowered the phone and turned off the flashlight. He tried to push the door open, but it only made a sound without budging. Frustrated, Cheong-san continued pushing it aggressively, taking his anger out on the door.

Na-hee stood in silence, despite Cheong-san's anger and frustration.

Cheong-san's eyes softened as he glanced at Na-hee. He was glad that she was with him, without her, he felt there would be no reason for him to keep going.

He had made a promise, and he was willing to do everything to protect Na-hee, his Na-hee.

Cheong-san finally found something to keep him going, and it was Na-hee. "Na-hee, stay back." he said as he positioned himself.

Cheong-san and Na-hee took a deep breath. Finally, Cheong-san delivered a strong kick towards their only escape, and it gave way.

The zombie on the other side fell down due to the impact of Cheong-san's kick, but it quickly regained its balance. Na-hee and Cheong-san interlocked their hands and took off.

They ran away from the zombies. As they were running, a zombie managed to grab hold of Cheong-san, making him fall. The zombie inside the classroom lunged at him, breaking through the broken door.

Na-hee shielded Cheong-san as the second zombie attacked, managing to shove it out of the way. Holding his hand, she helped him regain his balance, and they took off as the zombies growled behind them.

As they reached the end of the hallway, they encountered more zombies. They quickly managed to stop in time, sliding on the slippery ground, and turned back to avoid the zombies barely. Cheong-san slid the door open, with Na-hee following him inside the music room.

He grabbed a guitar nearby, holding it as a weapon in case there were any zombies inside, but there were none, as they had hoped.

Cheong-san turned to Na-hee, looking at her nervously to see if she was injured. "Are you alright? You didn't get hurt, right?" he asked, placing his hands on top of hers and caressing them.

Na-hee blinked repeatedly at his actions. "Yes, I'm fine" she replied, letting out a tired smile towards him.

Cheong-san took a deep breath and hugged her, catching her off guard, but in the end, she felt warmth and comfort within their embrace. "Thank you for being here." Cheong-san told Na-hee, his voice near her ear, which flustered her for a moment.

Cheong-san then slowly let go of the hug. "Na-hee, I swear I'll protect you." he told her, his voice colder than she expected.

Na-hee felt a chill run down her spine at the intensity of his words, but she paid it no mind.

"You already did. Thank you for earlier. I thought I was about to get killed" she admitted, recalling the sudden flashback of Gwinam threatening her.

The memory sent a shiver through her, but she quickly pushed it aside.

"It's okay now, he won't hurt you." Cheong-san reassured her, his eyes darkening with an intensity that made Na-hee's heart race.

She felt a sudden sense of déjà vu, reminiscent of her first day at the school when she had been talking to Wu-jin about Ji-min's comment.

She remembered how she had seen Wu-jin's eyes darken then too, but she had paid it no mind at the time.

*What the actual hell was that?* Na-hee thought to herself, slightly weirded out by the sudden memory. She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts.

"Na-hee, you okay?" Cheong-san's voice pulled her out of her thoughts, and she let out an unsure smile in response.

"Yeah, just tired." she told him as they both sat down on the cold ground, taking a moment to collect their breath after all the running.

Na-hee felt her head growing heavy, so she lowered it onto Cheong-san's shoulder.

Cheong-san felt himself stopped as he looked at her with admiration, a feeling that threatened to take things too far.

and he intended to keep his feelings that way, for his one and only love.

The two of them remained unaware that a drone had captured their interaction from the window.

(Yes! Finally!? I want to show more depth of the darker love they have for Na-hee)
