Final Thoughts

I don't really know what to title this part but I think this works well enough lol. For those who don't know, I left Wattpad for a hot minute (as in 4 or 5 years) after finishing this story, and I just recently came back to start writing again. I wanted to give a few words and just some of my thoughts after coming back.

First, I know what question is on a lot of your minds: Will there be a sequel to Ice at Midnight? 

The answer is pretty much no. While I was gone from Wattpad I still wrote off and on, and discovered that I really enjoy doing my own worldbuilding and writing entirely original stories, which is what I plan on doing from now on. If you want to read any of my new stuff, check out The Solace Chronicles, which has some published parts already! It's where I'm dumping all of the short stories I've written lately as I focus more on a larger project I have in the works. Anyway, I also don't know if I could do a sequel justice since I'm not nearly as invested in WoF as I was when I was a teen (yes I'm in my twenties now- officially hit unc status a while back). Never say never, but I most likely won't be coming back to writing WoF fanfiction. 

With that question answered, I guess the main thing I wanted to say is just a massive, massive thank-you to everyone who's read this story and Frigid Shadows over the years. I remember when I first finished writing Ice at Midnight and was so hyped to see that it had around 20k reads; six years later and it absolutely skyrocketed to 133k as of writing this. Somehow it's also still hovering around the top 10 stories for winterwatcher fanfics after all this time, which blows my mind. And reading all your comments has been lovely too! I couldn't possibly get to them all with how many there are now, but I know you guys have been so supportive and seem to really enjoy my writing. Even though I cringe a bit looking back at how I used to write, I'm glad it continues to make people happy because that's why I started publishing stuff here in the first place. 

So genuinely, thank you to every single one of you. I mean it.
