The club was alive with chaosย blinding disco lights flashing in sync with the heavy bass of the music, the air thick with the suffocating mix of cigarette smoke and alcohol.
People were everywhere, pressed up against each other, moving to the beat with no care in the world. Some were dancing, some were laughing over their drinks and othersโฆ well, some were so caught up in each other that they barely remembered they were in a public place.
In the middle of all this, sitting at the farthest corner of the club, was Taehyung. And he looked absolutely miserable.
His expression was blank, but the sharp tick in his jaw and the way he tapped his fingers against his thigh made it obvious .....he was pissed.
Beyond irritated. Annoyed out of his damn mind.
He never wanted to be here. He had made that crystal clear. But his so called friends, especially that bastard Jungkook, had dragged him into this nonsense, claiming it would be "fun."
Fun, his ass.
Taehyung's eyes scanned the club, growing more disgusted with every passing second. Half -naked men were grinding against women, their hands wandering freely, their bodies practically glued together.
Some couples were already halfway to doing things that should definitely require a locked door, and yet, they didn't seem to care that they had an audience. The atmosphere was thick with heat, alcohol, and the kind of desperation he wanted nothing to do with.
A group of girls had already approached him multiple times, flashing flirtatious smiles, twirling their hair, leaning in too close but he had turned his back on every single one of them before they could even speak.
He didn't want this. He didn't want any of this stupidity.
The whole scene made him want to gag.
He had no idea how people found this enjoyable. The music was too loud, the air was suffocating, and the way people were throwing themselves at each other so shamelessly made his skin crawl. He mentally cursed Jungkook for forcing him into this, his patience running dangerously thin.
And speaking of Jungkook, where the hell was that idiot?
At this rate, Taehyung was ready to drag him out of here himself.
Taehyung spotted Jungkook instantly on the dance floor. He didn't even have to searchโ Jungkook's presence was impossible to miss. The bastard thrived in places like this, surrounded by flashing lights, deafening music, and an atmosphere thick with sweat, alcohol, and desperation.
And right there, wrapped around him like she was about to climb inside his damn skin, was Raven.
Taehyung wasn't surprised. If anything, he should've expected it.
But that didn't mean he wanted to witness whatever the hell was happening between them.
Jungkook's hands were all over her, gripping, pulling, pressing, like he had every right to. And Raven? She was just as shameless, rolling her hips against him like she was trying to start a fire between their bodies.
This wasn't dancing. This was pure, filthy, unfiltered lust.
Absolutely bullshit.
Jungkook smirked, his fingers digging into her waist as he yanked her flush against him. In one smooth motion, he pressed his hardness right against her ass, making sure she felt every inch of what she had caused.
"Fuck, baby," he murmured against her ear, his breath hot against her skin. "Look at what you did to me."
Raven let out a breathy chuckle, arching her back so she could grind even harder against him. "Mmm, that's all me, huh?" she purred, her hands sliding up his chest before resting at the nape of his neck.
Jungkook groaned low in his throat, his lips barely grazing her earlobe. "You're acting all smug now," he taunted, his grip on her tightening. "But if I dragged you into a bathroom right now and made you take care of it with that pretty little mouth, would you still be smirking, huh? "
Raven smirked, tilting her head slightly. "Maybe I should let you suffer a little," she teased, pressing back against him in slow, deliberate motions.ย "Make you beg for it."
Jungkook chuckled darkly, his hand slipping lower, fingers dangerously close to the hem of her dress. "You really think I'm the begging type, sweetheart?" he muttered, his voice thick with amusement. "Nah. If anything, you'd be the one on your knees before we even made it to the damn exit."
Raven sucked in a sharp breath, her nails raking down his arms. "You talk too much, Jungkook," she murmured, turning around to face him and pull her towards him and their lips were just inches apart.
Jungkook smirked, his fingers tracing lazy circles against her hip. "And you like it," he whispered, his voice dripping with confidence. "You like when I tell you exactly how I'd ruin you."
Taehyung had seen more than enough.
He physically cringed, his face twisting in absolute disgust as he yanked his gaze away.
"This is unbearable," he muttered under his breath.
He wasn't sure if it was the alcohol, the suffocating atmosphere, or the sheer secondhand embarrassment of watching his best friend behave like a damn pornstar in public, but he needed to get the hell out of here.
And preferably, never think about this moment again.
As Taehyung watched Jungkook pull Raven away from the dance floor, his stomach twisted in sheer discomfort.
The way they were practically devouring each other, hands roaming without restraint, lips locked in a messy, desperate kissโit was obvious where this was headed.
Jungkook's grip on Raven's wrist was firm as he dragged her toward a darker corner, and Taehyung didn't need to be a genius to know they were about to disappear for the night.
He sighed heavily, running a hand down his face. This was his breaking point.
He had tolerated enoughโthe suffocating atmosphere, the alcohol soaked air, the half- naked bodies grinding against each other like animals in heat.
It was unbearable. The flashing disco lights only made his headache worse, and the loud music was a constant assault on his ears. He felt like an outsider here, a complete misfit in a place where people only cared about numbing themselves with alcohol and pleasure.
And worst of all, nobody else seemed to care.
Everyone around him was lost in their own worlds, dancing, drinking, making out some even crossing lines that should've been saved for private spaces. It was nothing short of a live porn show, and Taehyung was cringing so hard he thought he might actually throw up.
"This is disgusting," he muttered under his breath, standing up from his seat.
He didn't care anymore. He was leaving.
Without sparing another glance at the chaos behind him, Taehyung made his way toward the exit. He pushed the doors open and stepped outside, immediately taking in a deep breath of fresh air. It was like a weight had lifted off his chest.
No more unbearable noise. No more suffocating crowd. No more of Jungkook's bullshit.
He glanced at his phone for a second before locking the screen and shoving it back into his pocket. He didn' t even bother to inform his so called friends that he had left. Let them wonder where he was. Let them search for him like idiots. Maybe next time, they'd think twice before dragging him into a shitty place like that.
With a small sigh, Taehyung started walking down the street.
The night air was cool, opposite to the heat and stuffiness of the club. The streets were still busy despite the late hour, people going about their lives, couples walking hand in hand, laughing softly as they whispered to each other.
Taehyung's gaze lingered on them for a moment, his steps slowing just a little.
It wasn't jealousyโ not exactly. But there was something in his chest, a quiet longing, a silent wish.
Taehyung had always been different from Jungkook and the rest of his friends. They called him boring, lame, too uptight. They teased him constantly, joking that he must not be straight because he never showed interest in the things they did.
But they didn't understand.
It wasn't that he didn't like women.
He justโฆ.. believed in love.
In a world where people treated relationships like disposable thingsโone night, one touch, one meaningless encounter after another โTaehyung wanted something real.
He wanted to fall in love once, and only once. He wanted to meet someone who would make his heart race in the best way, not out of lust, but out of something deeper.
He wanted to hold hands and walk down quiet streets like this. He wanted to laugh over silly things, share secrets in the middle of the night, travel the world together, steal small, meaningful moments. He wanted to experience love fully, deeply, and without regrets.
And that was why, despite everything, he was still untouched.
Not because he couldn't find someone. Not because he was inexperienced. But because he was waiting for the one.
His first. His only. His forever.
And if that made him different from his friends, if that made him "boring" in their eyesโ so be it.
Taehyung didn't care.
He refused to settle for anything less than what he truly wanted.
At his college, there were plenty of girlsโmany of them beautiful, confident, and outgoing. But none of them were his type.
They were all the same, at least in his eyes. Casual, fleeting, interested in nothing beyond the surface. They sought attention, played games , and treated relationships like temporary entertainment. It wasn't what he wanted.
That was precisely why he kept his distance.
Instead of getting caught up in the usual college drama, Taehyung spent most of his time in the library, buried in books, avoiding unnecessary interactions. Let them call him boring. Let them assume he wasn't straight. Let them label him a nerd.
He didn't care.
He had no interest in proving himself to people who didn't matter. He didn't want to be like them โdidn't want to be like Jungkook.
And Raven?
She was no different.
If anything, she was exactly like Jungkook arrogant, full of herself, and obsessed with attention. She had tried to get close to him once, probably assuming he was just playing hard to get. Maybe she thought he'd eventually give in, that he'd see her as some kind of irresistible temptation.
But she had never been his type.
When she realized he wasn't interested, she had gotten pissed off and started making ridiculous assumptions about himโas if the only explanation for rejecting her was that he wasn't into women. He had ignored her then, just like he ignored every other baseless rumor.
Because in the end, it didn't matter.
One day, he believed, he would meet someone who would choose him for his heart, not his looks, not for a temporary thrill, not as some kind of conquest.
And until that day came, he would wait.
Lost in his thoughts, he barely noticed the familiar streets passing by. Before he realized it, he had reached home.
Sighing, he stepped inside, exhaustion settling over him like a heavy blanket.
He didn't bother turning on all the lights, just enough to make his way through the house. His body ached from the long day, and all he wanted was to collapse into bed and sleep away the lingering annoyance of the night.
Without another thought, he kicked off his shoes, shut the door behind him, and disappeared into his room.

The warm glow of the light cast over the dining table as Evie sat across from her father, quietly eating dinner. The clinking of cutlery against plates was the only sound between them for a while, until her father finally broke the silence.
"So, how was your first day of college?" he asked, glancing at her with a curious smile.
Evie hesitated for a moment, debating how to answer. Truthfully, it hadn't been great. The students were exactly what she had expectedโ rich, arrogant, and full of themselves. The way they carried themselves, the way they looked at her like didn't help her finding the class, and of course, the incident with that Jungkook guyโฆ It was all irritating.
But she didn't want to worry her father, so instead, she gave him a neutral answer.
"It was fine. Not too bad, not too good," she said, shrugging as she stabbed her fork into a piece of food.
Her father chuckled, already sensing that she wasn't telling him the full story. "Don't worry. It'll get better. It's just six months, Evie. Just focus on getting your degree, and soon, all of this will be behind you."
Evie nodded, letting out a small sigh. "Yeah, I know."
Her father took another bite before asking, "Did you make any friends?"
Evie nearly scoffed. "Dad, this is college, not high school. No one cares about anyone else. It's like everyone is in their own world. Even though I'm new, no one really paid attention to me."
Her father raised an eyebrow, but Evie continued, "There is one girl, though. Her name is Mia. She's my seatmate, and she's on a scholarship too. She was nice to me and helped me get through the day."
Her father smiled. "That's good. At least you have someone to talk to."
Evie simply hummed in response, not entirely sure if Mia would become a real friend or just a passing acquaintance.
Then, her father casually added, "Oh, by the way, my boss's son studies at the same college. Did you see him?"
Evie looked up at him, slightly confused. "I know he studies there, but how would I recognize him? It's not like I've ever seen him before."
Her father chuckled again. "Well, I hope you do. Maybe you'll meet him eventually. "
Evie only nodded, not thinking much of it. After all, what were the chances that she'd actually cross paths with him
For now, all she wanted was to get through these six months without unnecessary trouble.
