11. Under The Tree

"You know I totally thought you had a crush on Kendo." (Y/n) let out as they lay outside the school building under the tree they confessed at. It had been a few days after their confession and the two had grown attached to each other. Monoma was reading a book as his head was placed on (Y/n)'s lap, while she messed with his hair.

"Is that what Mina told you?" Monoma groaned as he closed his book, looking up at the girl.

"Not exactly, but how do you know about that?" (Y/n) questioned, squishing his cheeks together. He nervously laughed while removing her hands from his face.

"About that, before we got together Mina was actually helping me get with you. She suggested that we make you jealous and it seemed to work really well!" (Y/n)'s mind raced as she thought of every moment Mina would mention him or ask about him.

"Are you serious? That's why she brought you up every second of the day!" She gasped.

"Although I can't stand any of your classmates I guess you could say I have gained a bit of respect for her for helping me." Monoma was now sitting up and adjusted himself to sit next to her.

"But that makes me curious, why did you have a crush on me? Or I guess why do you like me." (Y/n) laid her head on his shoulder and looked up at him. He blushed before covering his mouth and looking away. However, his red ears were still visible to her.

"It's just... I first saw you during the entrance exam. We were in the same group and after seeing you fight the robots I became interested in you. Then when school began and I noticed we weren't in the same class I thought it'd be hopeless to get close to you. " He had to pause for a minute before continuing. "The sports festival soon came around and then you spoke to me for the first time and I ran away. I felt like a complete idiot but it gave me some hope that I'd be able to get to know you better, so I would catch glances of you in between classes and look for you during lunch or whenever I could. At first, I didn't know why I liked you, but after watching you for a while you seemed sweet. You were always laughing and messing around with your classmates and you had the biggest smile on your face. I started to like you more as time went on and even more when I started to get to know you." He had looked away the entire time and only looked back at her when he finished his story.

"So basically you've been stalking me." She giggled.

"No! I just poured my heart out to you I didn't mean for it to sound like I was stalking you." He grew worried, thinking that she'd be grossed out by him.

"I'm joking Monoma!" She reassured him. "But if you're gonna pour your heart out I guess I have to as well." The girl looked directly into his eyes and placed her hands on his shoulders before speaking. "If I'm being honest I was never really interested in a relationship before. I was focused on getting into school and training, but you were always around. You were always in my field of vision and at first, I thought that I was just interested in your quirk, but I guess along the way I also developed a crush on you without even realizing it." His face was once again burning red as he listened to her confession. Monoma quickly looked away from her but before she could turn his head back towards her the bell rang.

"There's the bell." He said as they both stood up from their spots.

"Let's get to class then." She said with a smile, interlocking their hands together. As they walked up the stairs to their classes they made plans to hang out in (Y/n)'s dorm room after school ended. "You can finally meet Mizuki." She swung their arms back and forth with a smile.

"I'd like that." He smiled back at the girl before parting ways.

After school, the couple walked to her dorm together hand in hand. Monoma was excited to see the infamous Mizuki for the first time, but also a bit nervous because he's never really interacted with a cat before.

The two were able to avoid the other students in the common area and make it to her dorm room without any distractions. Normally, (Y/n) would at least greet her fellow classmates, but with them not being able to tolerate Monoma and vice versa she decided not to.

"Sorry about the mess." (Y/n) said as they both walked in, however, there wasn't a mess other than a few of Mizuki's toys being on the ground.

"Where's Mizuki?" The boy asked as he made himself comfortable.

"I thought she'd be in here but I guess she's with Katsuki." (Y/n) looked around in the various places Mizuki would hide but found nothing.

"Are you sure she's real?" Monoma laughed as he watched her look under her bed.

"Of course she is! She's just usually with Katsuki and plus why would I have all these toys and food if she wasn't?" (Y/n) pouted as she playfully glared at her boyfriend.

"I don't know but what I do know is that I've never seen her." Monoma was teasing her. Of course, he knew the cat was real, but he rarely got to see this cute side of her.

"I'll prove it to you! Let me go get her, just wait in my room." (Y/n) said before quickly kissing his cheek.

"O-ok." Monoma stuttered as he felt his face heat up from the sudden affection. The girl just smiled back at him as she skipped out of her room and made the trip to Bakugou's.

Upon arrival (Y/n) busted through the door without knocking."Hey, asshole I need my cat."

"Fuck off, she's busy being my neck pillow." Bakugou was currently laying on his bed with Mizuki wrapped around his neck. He was peacefully reading the newest volume of his favorite manga before she disturbed him.

"It's insane how she favors you when I saved her from being a street cat." She exclaimed before pulling Mizuki off his neck. She didn't fight it and instead settled herself in (Y/n)'s arms.

"I guess she knows who number one is." He smirked, causing the girl to gag.

"Shut up." (Y/n) left without another word not even bothering to close his door for him. Annoyed he stood up, cursing her out before slamming his bedroom door. She ignored him and happily walked back to her own room.

"Honey, I'm home!" (Y/n) exclaimed while opening her front door. Monoma nervously jumped up from his seat, but quickly composed himself.

"(Y/n) you scared me." The girl laughed as Monoma held his hand over his heart.

"We're you doing something you weren't supposed to be? You shouldn't startle so easily Monoma." She stifled a laugh as she crouched down and placed Mizuki on the floor.

"I wasn't doing anything!" Monoma said with a red face as he crouched down with her. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mizuki." He held out his hand towards the cat to let her sniff him. While the girl was gone Monoma had actually searched up 'How to make cats like you' and studied a bit.

One of the tips was to let the cat approach you, as she did Mizuki rubbed her face against Monoma's fingers. She purred, causing Monoma's eyes to go wide. He looked at (Y/n) as she had a big smile on her face.

"I think Mizuki likes you!" She said excitedly. Mizuki continued to rub her face against his legs and eventually climbed up and laid on his neck. The boy froze, not in fear but in confusion about what he should do next.

"(Y/n) please help me." He looked at his girlfriend with pleading eyes.

"Mizuki be gentle with Monoma he's not used to you yet." The girl carefully took Mizuki off Monoma's neck and placed her at the foot of her bed.

"Thank you." Monoma released a breath he didn't know he was holding.

"You're welcome! Now lay in bed with me I'm tired of training all day!" (Y/n) rolled onto her bed motioning for Monoma to do the same. After a few seconds of debating, he carefully sat down next to her. "Don't be so shy!" She said and pulled him down to cuddle with her.

"I didn't think you'd be so bold!" Monoma's face was bright red as he felt the girl's head in his chest. She could hear how fast his heartbeat was and enjoyed every second of it.

"I didn't know I could be so bold either but let's take a nap now..." The girl trailed off as she yawned, closing her eyes and eventually falling asleep. The boy admired her for a good ten minutes before shutting his eyes and doing the same.

Mizuki looked in their direction and crawled closer to them. She wedged herself in between the two and closed her eyes to sleep as well. She purred as she snuggled with the both of them. She immediately liked Monoma however Mizuki knew that this blond could never compare to the original.
