You didn't know why four random people were hanging out in your house when you only invited Kusuo and Toritsuka over. You didn't mind it, though. They were fun to be with. Nendou, Kaido, Aren, and Teruhashi.

You recently got out of the hospital so it wouldn't hurt to party a little, would it?

The six of you were watching a horror movie, but it wasn't that scary at all. As the film gets tenser, a sudden knock can be heard from your front door. "I'll go get it," Aren stated, standing up from his seat only to be pulled back by Toritsuka.

"I will." The purple-haired replied. It was now his turn to stand up, but you pulled the spirit medium back. "This is my house, I can get it." You muttered, biting your inner cheek.

"I can come with you—"

"I'll come with her."

"Don't be stubborn, you two!"

"What if I come with [ name ] instead?"

"Stop arguing.."

"You heard Teruhashi! Stop arguing."

"Want to go get some ramen after this?"

"You seriously had your ramen like two minutes ago!"

"Excuse me," Kusuo spoke out, standing up from his position before making his way outside the living room. With that, he made his way to the front door and opened it, revealing a fine woman in her late 20s. "Greetings, Mrs. [ last name ]." Kusuo bowed before staring intensely at your mother.

The woman raised a brow, unbeknownst the name of the strange in front of her. "You are?" She questioned, crossing her arm. "Saiki Kusuo. The person who will be marrying [ name ]." He calmly proposed, causing the woman to raise a brow.

"Ah, that person who defended my daughter from that annoying hag, thanks." The woman had bright orange hair and eyes similar to yours. "Pleasure is all mine," Kusuo responded, observing the look on the woman's face. She seemed happy, let alone her thoughts crying from happiness.

'I trust this guy. I approve of him as my son-in-law.' Shaking off her thoughts, she decided to look at him. "Take care of my daughter, 'kay? She barely received enough affection. Well, she reminds me so much of her sister, that's why I can't look at her. Well.. Her older sister committed suicide because of me, I really don't know how to take care of a child." She explained, wiping the tear that was about to roll down her cheek.

"Why did you marry her father, then?" Kusuo questioned, skeptically looking at your mother. "Forced marriage. The contract says.. we have to bear two children, and the youngest has more potential than the eldest. It's quite unfair, right? I wanted to raise her sister and prove the contract wrong, but it only ended up killing her." She paused for a second, looking at the ground.

"I didn't want [ name ] to die that's why I tried pushing her away, but to no avail. She just wouldn't give up trying to impress me." The orange head added, fiddling with her finger, "I am proud, though. I just didn't show it in hopes she would give up."

The woman was starting to tear up while Kusuo just stood there, not knowing what to do. He knew you were near them as they spoke, and you heard the conversation they had. Loud and clear.

"Why don't you tell her this?" Kusuo frowned, crossing his arms. "I.. don't know, I-I.. I guess, I feel ashamed. I- She's- There's no chance she would f-forgive me." She sobbed, unable to form the right words.

After wiping her tears, she handed the pink-haired a neatly wrapped gift. "S-sorry for taking your time.  Please give this to [ name ]. I shall go now." With that, the woman left. Where could she be heading to? Kusuo didn't bother to question it.

He used his x-ray to check the gift, and there, he saw a picture frame— you, your sister, and your mother. Out of curiosity, you sneakily made your way to Kusuo to surprise him, but to no avail, he still heard your footsteps.

He turned around to face you, watching as the evil smirk on your face faded. You opened your mouth to speak, but the pink-haired had cut you off. "Why didn't you go and talk to her? You were there, right?" He asked, tilting his head to the side.

"..I dunno. I'm just scared, maybe." You mumbled, avoiding eye contact. You were on the verge of crying, which Kusuo noticed. Without any hesitation, he placed a hand on the back of your head and pushed you to his chest.

You were surprised at his sudden action, but it brought comfort to you. His arms felt like home. Slowly letting your tears fall, now turning to a sobbing mess. His other hand wrapped around your waist while the other one stroked your hair in a way to calm you down. "You did your best, my idiot."

"I-I.. not idiot," you muttered in between sobs, making Kusuo grin. "Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night." He chuckled, ruffling your hair.

"I sense chemistry," a voice chimed in, causing you to slightly push the pink-haired away. Kusuo gently pulled away from the embrace before looking at the source of the voice. It was Toritsuka, a smirk planted all over his face. The pink-haired let out a scoff that sooner turned into a smile, "we're not dating. For now, at least." You blushed upon his words.

"Mhm, the others are calling you, by the way." With that, the spirit medium walked off, leaving the two of you behind. You were about to walk away as well, but Kusuo grabbed you by your wrist, making you yelp.

He placed the [ favorite color ] wrapping on your hand before asking, "can I kiss you right now?" He tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear while smirking. Your eyes widened at his question before nodding a small 'yes.'

Kusuo rolled his eyes playfully before saying, "in your dreams." You gritted your teeth at his words, and you swore to yourself, you could punch him right here and right now only if Teruhashi didn't come barging in.

"Kaido and.. Nendou a-are going crazy like gorillas!" she squeaked, pointing at the living room door. You let out a sigh, glaring daggers at Kusuo before walking away. 'And that's what you get for wasting my time.' You mentally hissed, not aware that Kusuo could hear you.

Before the nighttime can come, everyone has left and gone to their perspective houses already, including Kusuo. You were now left alone in the place, not knowing what to do. You were currently sitting on a chair, facing your desk. You let out a yawn, remembering today's events.

You ignored his presence the whole time. You were mad, you hated nothing more than false hopes, and he did exactly what you despise. You scratched your hair irritatedly, looking at the paper sheet where a math problem that you couldn't solve was written.

Find the first derivative of 12x + y² = 23x⁴ ( 61 - 3y )

"For fuck's sake, why does math have to be so fucking complicated!" You grumbled, almost tearing the paper sheet out of anger.

Even a calculator can't solve this thing. You wanted to scream at yourself so bad for being allergic to chocolate and skipping two weeks of school because you were at the hospital. You let out a frustrated sigh, staring at the paper with your eyebrows furrowed.

"Move the expression to the left, set the function, find fx and fy, find the first partial derivative, and then solve." A voice calmly stated, making you flinch. You turned around to see Kusuo standing behind you.

"What the actual quivering fuck?" You muttered, looking at him with your eyes widened. He let out a sigh, leaning slightly to see the math problem that you've been struggling with for an hour now. "Stop cursing, it doesn't suit you." He

He pointed at the paper before saying, "we're not supposed to find the value of x and y. The answer is.." His side view was facing you, and he looked so concentrated yet calm. His jawline was perfectly carved, and so was his face anatomy. Everything about him was attractive.

"..Over 2y plus 69x to the power of four." He finished speaking, but you were too busy admiring him that you didn't hear what he said. Kusuo turned his head to look at you, a small scowl forming his face. "Were you even listening?" He questioned strictly, but to no avail, you were still daydreaming. 'What does bottom Saiki look like?' You asked yourself, staring at his face. He was so attractive to the point that you even forgot about the little quarrel you were having with him.

You weren't aware he could read your mind.

Kusuo was disappointed upon hearing your thoughts. For the first time, he was actually willing to help you, but you were too busy thinking about lewd stuff. Squinting his eyes, he flicked your forehead in hopes that you would stop daydreaming, and to his luck, it worked.

"Sorry, what did you say?" You questioned, looking at him with innocent eyes— the opposite of what you were thinking about earlier.

"..You know I can read your mind, right?"

"No, you can't."

"Yes, I can."

"Oh."
