"According to our research, people are more cautious about the environment" Vaughn announced to her.

"That's a good sign. I have to give credit for your intelligence. Using a lot of pretty faces to save the environment, smart move. Not only one model, but models around the world" Valarie smiled at Vaughn.

"You should know me, I'm a hardcore tree hugger deep down. No one should know, that's a little creepy on my profile"

"I mean, look..." Vaughn put up his hand and wave it. Valarie laughed, as she looked around.

"Your own personal forest" Valarie stated. Since Vaughn is rich, he bought a property somewhere isolated and build a forest and decided to adopt as many wildlife creatures as he could. Hardcore environmentalist.

"Well, it's healthy" Valarie said.

"Be honored that I showed you this side of me. You're the second person I showed, my mother was the first" Valarie smiled softly at that.

"The reason I called you to come see me today, so early in the morning, it because, I really wanted to have breakfast with you, and I wanted to know, what is going on with you, and Mr. Chae Hyungwon?" Valarie mentally sighed. This is so Vaughn, he loves his mother, the environment and gossips!

"You noticed something?" Valarie asked, first things first.

"Honey, I'm gay. Shoot me with a gun, if I didn't notice"

"Well,... what is there to say? He's my ex"

"Ooh, what happened?" Vaughn asked, pushing the topic deeper.

"He uhm, he broke my heart, he left me when I needed him the most. I don't know why he left such a deep impact on me. With other guys, I feel nothing"

"Is he your first?" Vaughn asked.

"Yeah, but that's besides the point. I grew up, surrounded by a lot of pretty faces, but when I saw him, his beauty, no one could stand a chance"

"I agree. He really has a pretty face. Quite unique in its own way" Vaughn stated, agreeing with Valarie.

"Do you still have feelings for him?" He asked. Valarie slowly nodded.

"I won't deny that, as much as I want too"

"I went through therapy because of him. Trying to get over it, but maybe deep down I just knew, I'm never getting over him. No matter what I do"

"Honey, you're so young and beautiful! Go out and have fun! You could have so many men dropping at your feet! And you shouldn't put yourself so low because of one person"

"Rae has always said that to me, Vaughn. I'm still trying to wrap it around my head"

"It's hard. I understand, trust me. I became the way I am today because of my first love too"

"Really?" Valarie asked, surprised. She scooted closer wanting to know more. Vaughn pulled a knowing look, looking at Valarie.

"Who is he?" Valarie asked.

"It's a she" Valarie's jaw dropped.

"Tell me more"

"She broke my heart and I turned gay. What else is there?" Vaughn looked down, sighing defeatedly. Valarie reached out and hold Vaughn's hands, giving a reassuring smile. Maybe it's time. She should get over Chae Hyungwon and move on.

"That model, Taehee. She invited the models who were involved with the project to a party she's hosting by a beach resort" Rae explained.

"So, do you want to go?" Rae asked, sitting next to Valarie.

"I'll go"

"Are you sure? He will be there" Rae look at Valarie in concern.

"I'll go to this party. Think of this as me finally getting over him"

"Okay. If you say so" Rae replied.

"Any news?" Rae asked.

"Not a thing. Apparently, my father's murder case is not a big deal to the authorities. Many crimes happens in a day, it's kinda hard to just focus on one case" Val said. She felt frustrated, so goddamn frustrated!

"I'm scared if this matter is just prolonged, the killer might've gotten away with it and I don't want that to happen!"

"Valarie. Come on. Have a little bit of faith"

"Rae, I didn't get to say goodbye. The last thing I said to him was, 'Drive safely, papa'. I swear to god, if I knew..."

"Don't worry, Val. Whoever did this to your father, karma will be such a b**ch to him, I'm sure of this"

Valarie was wearing white crop top and baby pink floral sarong skirt. Her hair was up in a messy bun and she was wearing a golden anklet. She glanced at the time. The party starts early, just before sunset. What a brilliant idea! A party during a sunset, what a beautiful scene. Rae helped Val put on a necklace and Val helped Rae zip up her beach dress. Rae sighed in satisfaction. Then, Rae slide open her drawer and pluck something small from inside.

"Here you go" Rae passed Valarie something.

"Ew! Rae! No!" Val push it back towards Rae in disgust.

"What? This is just in case" Val groaned as Rae persisted.

"You never know!"

"Fine! Just put it in my purse" Val gave in. Rae slipped the thin packet in her purse.

"Well, you don't suddenly want a lovechild do you?"

"Rae!" Val yelled in disbelief, making Rae laugh.

"I don't plan on sleeping with anyone!"

"Okay! I know!" Rae put her hands up in surrender. As they both were putting on their shoes, Rae wondered to herself.

"Damn. I just realised. The last time you had sex was with our sponsor, Chae Hyungwon"

"Rae!" Val stomped her foot slightly and scrunched her face in annoyance. Rae can't help but think how cute Val was when she is annoyed.

"I was joking, okay!"

"No wonder you're so cranky, it's been years since you had release" Rae laughed loudly, making Val glare at her.

"You know, I don't know what's so funny about me not having sex for three years" Val stated, with a passive tone.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry" They both headed out and got into the car to leave.

"You're meeting your date, right?" Rae asked.

"Yeah. David's already here" Val nodded as she didn't look up from her phone as she was busy texting David.

"He's already at the bar. I'll head there first"

"Okay, bye" Rae waved at her, before they both went their separate ways. As Rae was walking around the beach, looking around, her eyes landed on a certain someone she kind of missed. Her heart started to beat so fast, it felt as if it was banging against her chest.

"Oh my god. Sweet baby Jesus" She slowly approach the person, but then she stopped in her tracks, when she realised he is surrounded by people.

"Never mind" She decided to just grab a drink and calm her nerves that was going crazy.

After an hour chilling with David and his friends, she was getting a little bored and clearly David and his friends were talking about a topic she can't relate too. She decided to leave the bar and wander off to find Rae. She stumbled as she walked. Clearly, she was a little tipsy. She wasn't a heavy drinker, her tolerance was okay. She needs at least 8 drinks just to make her tipsy, she didn't realize how much she had. Wow! 8 drinks in an hour?

She squinted her eyes, looking at the setting sun. So beautiful. And her drunk state made it look slightly hazy. What a sight! She just stood still there, near a bonfire, feeling the warmth as the wind blew it towards her. She was looking directly at the orange sun that was slowly turning red, for a good few minutes, when someone came into her line of vision. She squinted her eyes, she tense up, smelling the familiar scent of cologne.

"Mr. Chae?" She guessed, her words slurred.

"Ms. De'Casper, it's not that late yet and you're tipsy?" Oh no, she didn't want Hyungwon to see her like this. Hyungwon look at her, her face flustered, her lips was glossy and pink clearly from the many times she licked it to moistened it, and her bright brown eyes that look like fiery ambers as they look at him.

"So what if I am? The drinks were good. You should try some" She suggested, her tone a bit snarky.

"I really didn't expect to see you here, when you tried so hard to avoid me" He stated. She hated how he sounded so calm, while she feels like she's the one who is fazed by him.

"I came here to justify that I am finally getting over you" She said. He scoffed at that.

"The sober you wouldn't have said that. And, the sober you wouldn't have the guts to even admit your feelings"

"Ugh. Whatever. I need a drink" She rolled her eyes and as a waiter passed, she instantly grabbed one drink.

"I never knew that you never got over me" He said, truthfully. He admits, somewhat the thought of her not getting over him, kinda made him hope.

"Don't be so smug. After tonight, you're dead to me" Hyungwon was surprised at how much anger and hate was laced in her tone.

"Don't you think you've had enough to drink?" He asked, raising his brows, questioningly.

"No. Clearly, I need more" She replied, before walking away and leaving him there, feeling dissed.
