XXI ~ The End?

    Meliodas held the commandments in his hands. Everyone stood around him. "You remember the plan Zel?" he asked.

    "Yeah. Give the king of this nation this letter and hopefully, he'll remove the chain," Zel recited. He waved the letter in the air as he spoke. Meliodas nodded in approval. "You sure you're all fine with Elizabeth coming to the demon realm? She is a goddess, after all." They all nodded.

    "You all might wanna step back," Meliodas warned them. Everyone backed away from him until they felt safer. Before he started absorbing the commandments he promised Zeldris something. "When this all over I'll release your lover from my sealing, Zeldris." He then absorbed the commandments, taking the form of a large cacoon.

    Elizabeth awoke in Meliodas' bed. She sat up and looked in a mirror. Her gold eye was visible and the goddess clan symbol appeared in both eyes. Meliodas... The night before Estarossa had asked in his drunken state if she was the goddess Elizabeth. After she ushered back into his room she had regained her memories throughout the night. Meliodas must be in pain. She looked around for a bit but couldn't find him.

    Elaine and Ban walked up to her. "Princess I wanna talk about the Cap'n." Elizabeth nodded and they went back into Meliodas' room. Ban explained what Meliodas was doing to her and what King might be planning. She was silent for a bit before smiling slightly.

    "I have faith that Meliodas won't be gone forever," Elizabeth said. "He has his emotions back fully and two little brothers to protect." She stood up a determined fire in her eyes. "We can't let King hurt them." Elaine and Ban nodded in agreement. No one was supporting King with his views. "Let me talk to Merlin."

    Ban led her down to Merlin's little hidden room. They exchanged some pleasantries before Elizabeth got down to business. "We have to stop King." Merlin agreed.

    "But are you fine with what Meliodas is doing?"

    Elizabeth responded with the same thing she told Ban and Elaine. Merlin smiled. "Alright, let's get a plan to together. We'll visit your father first."
