XII ~ Reconvened

The three flew back to the tavern, with Meliodas carrying Ban. They landed outside where Ban went in first. Meliodas hesitated a bit before stopping the door from closing with his foot and going in. Estarossa followed.

"Yo," Meliodas greeted curtly. The sins immediately stood up with their weapons out. "Put your weapons away," Meliodas ordered. They didn't listen. Then with inhuman speed, all the weapons were smacked out of their hands. Ban gaped at the irritated Meliodas. "Listen to me for once in your lives."

"Why is one of the Ten Commandments here!?" King demanded.

"Because one of the Ten Commandment is here."

"You just repeated what I said!"

"But it's the correct answer."

"Alright Estarossa upstairs," Meliodas sighed. They left the room leaving the more than confused sins alone.

Meliodas opened the door to his room, saying a quick hello to the people inside. Estarossa was still slightly hidden behind the door.

"Meliodas, you're back!" Zeldris stood up and went to him. There was red around his eyes but Meliodas decided not to point it out in front of everyone.

"And I have a visitor for you," Meliodas said. Zeldris raised a brow. Meliodas stepped inside and Estarossa came up to Zeldris.

"Estarossa!" Zeldris exclaimed. Estarossa smiled and patted Zeldris head.

"You look like your good health," Estarossa said warmly. Zeldris smiled cheerfully. Both Meliodas and Estarossa were surprised by the smile from their normally closed-off brother.

"Elizabeth. Howzer. Could we have some privacy?" Meliodas asked. The two nodded and left. Estarossa sat in the armchair and Meliodas and Zeldris sat on the bed. Zeldris was trying to hide the demon sealing chain on his ankle but Estarossa noticed anyway.

"Why are there sealing chains on him?" Estarossa growled. Meliodas frowned.

"I could only get Merlin to remove most of them," Meliodas mumbled. "At least, it's better than what it was before."

"What was it before?" Estarossa asked.

"I was almost completely covered in them..." Zeldris whispered, kinda hoping Estarossa wouldn't here him. Estarossa eyes closed as he tried to contain his anger. Meliodas put an arm around Zeldris, who didn't protest.

"So Meliodas..."

"Yeah?"

"I heard from Father that you agreed to become the demon king in exchange for your magic and emotions."
