III ~ Sword

I love these people so much more than real humans

Meliodas placed Elizabeth down and walked over to the sword. He knelt down and hovered his hand over it. He for some reason was nervous to touch it but finally grabbed it. When he stood up straight a strange sense of worry came over him.

Why is his sword here?

Where is he?

What happened to him?

Zeldoris wouldn't have left his sword laying around. No, he would never have done something so irresponsible. What happened and is he alright?

Elizabeth peered around Meliodas' shoulder. "What's with that sword?" she inquired. Meliodas gulped.

"This is my little brother's sword," Meliodas answered.

"Sir Zeldoris?"

"Yes."

Meliodas took the sword and placed it under his arm. He turned around and spoke somewhat quietly, "Let's continue back." He then started walking off with Elizabeth following closely.

They'd gotten up to Boar's Hat to find it completely empty. Meliodas raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Where did they all go? You'd think at least one them to be here."

The two of them looked around a bit, trying to find someone. When Elizabeth was checking the storage room, she heard low groan followed by a few curses. Hearing this, she ran upstairs to find Meliodas.

"Meliodas!" she shouted. Meliodas soon popped out of one of the bedrooms.

"What is it?" Meliodas responded. Elizabeth quickly told him about the sound and led him to the storage room.

After seeing that it was empty, Meliodas dragged his hand over the walls until he felt a strange switch. He quickly flipped it, revealing a strange gate of some sort.

"What is that?" Elizabeth asked.

"A doorway to Merlin's secret little room."

Meliodas went down the doorway and looked around. One thing that stood out was a weird lump of red cloth and chains. "The hell?" he mumbled.

But upon closer inspection, Meliodas realized it wasn't just a weird lump. It rolled over to face him. Then Meliodas found himself staring into two wide, scared green eyes.

"Zeldris!?"
