THIRTY-SEVEN (RUBY POV)

18:37, 2 May 2023

"Is that normal?" Iselen asks raising an eyebrow and staring at me perplexed. "I was very surprised when I saw you walking down the aisle this evening."

"Don't you like it?" I answer with another question. I can see out of the corner of my eye how the werewolf gestures discreetly at the vampire who nods immediately, nervously.

"Of course, yes, I love it, it's just that I didn't know a bride could wear a mint green veil. I thought there were rules about this and white was mandatory but it looks good, you're beautiful and the color matches your eyes. There's nothing prettiest in this world than your eyes and Terra's eyes, no jewel can compete with them, in my humble opinion..." I can't help laughing out loud, cutting her off.

"It's okay, babe, calm down. I'm glad you like it and no, there're no rules. I picked out a green veil because it's trendy, I felt like wearing something different and we were going to get married in a garden... I thought it'd be a good idea."

"You look stunning, my love," Terra leans forward to kiss my cheek. "You look like the ethereal Queen of the Wood Elves."

"That was the whole point," I admit quietly, grimacing. "I don't want anyone thinking that I look like a dangerous half-demon who came out from hell or something like that... a horrible monster..."

"Babe, nobody believes you're a monster," Iselen hugs me tight, smiling. "Everybody adores you, magical creatures that come to the Wind Rose think you're the best hostess ever, even better than us although we have centuries of experience, you've planned an amazing party, they're having the time of their lives... Ruby, if they believed that you're a dangerous half-demon, Elric wouldn't have left his cave to come here tonight."

"That's true, the guy is distrustful," I answer laughing. The wizard is sitting in a corner under the branches of an oak tree, drinking champagne and looking at other guests cautiously while fixing the II World War helmet lined with tinfoil on his head. "Have I told you that you both look very handsome today wearing those dark suits?"

"A dozen of times, but you can repeat it as many times as you want because it's true and we love hearing it from your lips," the wolf admits, fixing the cuffs of her shirt, the simple gold wedding band shines on her finger and I can't help smiling when I remember that I myself put it there an hour ago. Iselen also picked out a discreet gold band despite I told them I could buy two diamond rings for them to match Terra's mother's engagement ring. But they answered that it was not their style and I could save the money to spend it in a honeymoon trip, I suggested we should go to Paris and take a look at the building the vampire owns in the city, maybe make plans to restore it, and they accepted immediately.

But before, we have to enjoy this wonderful party. The witches, necromancers, Maeve, Raven and some other friends like fairies and nymphs have done a great job and the garden is illuminated by small lanterns, candles and fireflies. Someone casted a spell and the lawn is covered with small white flowers that smell heavenly. There're also white roses in silver vases on every table, white doves on tree branches and white butterflies fluttering above our heads while guests try the druid's delicious food and drink berry liquor made by nymphs and pear wine made by pixies. Judging by the volume of the laughing, I'd say that the liquor is too strong again, but no one seems to care and they keep drinking.

On the other side of the garden, under a wooden arch covered with more white roses and green branches, Maeve performed a lovely ceremony while the sun set and stars started shining over our heads. Actually, I feel that time has flown: I finished getting dressed in Terra's room helped by Lea and Zara, I walked down the aisle holding my white roses bouquet, holding my breath when I saw my beautiful brides that were holding the dogs' leashes and, suddenly, in the blink of an eye, we were married and everybody was clapping. It's already midnight and the party is in full swing.

"Can I dance with the bride?" the werewolf appears out of the blue and hugs my waist, taking my hand before swirling around the dance floor next to the pool while I laugh amused. Terra's eyes shine brighter than the stars above us while we sway to the rhythm of music along with other guests. "You look stunning tonight, wife."

"Thank you, you too," I answer smiling.

"You didn't have to do it, you know that, don't you?" she replies quietly and I shake my head.

"Yes, I had to do it. I know we're your pack now but he's your father, babe, he'll always be, even if he makes mistakes and has a big mouth sometimes. This will help to bridge the gap between you and improve your relationship; if you're lucky enough, you'll be able to talk like civilized people without fighting during the next family meeting."

"Ruby... That's the reason why I invited him to the wedding along with his wife, my baby brother, my uncle and other wolves. Even Albert is here trying to flirt with some nymphs, the great jerk. My old pack is enjoying food, drinks and music, they visited this house for the first time and a few wolves have admitted that we made a great job and the Wind Rose is a good refuge for supernatural creatures... That's enough for me. You didn't need to ask my father to walk with you down the aisle."

"Well, Iselen doesn't have any other family members and my mother is not here so I didn't have many options," I admit shrugging. "Asking your father was the right thing to do... although I didn't expect him to agree on it, to be honest. He was shocked but also looked touched and excited."

"I'm sorry your family is not here, babe, I wish we could..."

"It's okay, Terra," I cut her off before my pretty bride kills the mood. "I understand it, babe. It's difficult to take humans here, break the spells that protect the perimeter to let them set foot in the garden, erase their memories later... It's not a problem, we'll visit Australia soon, you'll meet my mother, she'll freak out after learning I have two wives, I'll have to explain why I don't live in LA anymore, I still don't know if I should tell her about what Eloise did and about my powers... It won't be a pleasant conversation and I have to plan how to do it so it's the least traumatic possible."

"Iselen can manipulate her mind a little so the information doesn't sound weird to her, I mean, she'll feel happy for you and won't be worried sick about you, like a mother would do, and her feelings will be real but she won't think you're crazy."

"That would be useful..."

"It's my turn, please." The vampire appears out of the blue too and gives a glass of champagne to Terra before taking me in her arms and spinning across the dance floor. "What were you talking about? It looked like it was serious... can I help my beautiful wife?"

"Can you manipulate my mother's mind to make sure she doesn't think I'm crazy when I tell her that I got married to two women, I moved to a house in the middle of the forest and her old friend and neighbor sold my soul to the demons?" Iselen seems to think about it for a few seconds before nodding and smirking mischievously.

"I can do that, definitely. You know I'd do anything for you, Ruby Rose, my sweet and delicious human."

"I'm not human anymore, not exactly, I think," I answer amused and she nods.

"But you're still sweet and delicious and..." Iselen averts her eyes from my face for a second, looking down, and seems to lose her train of thought while heaving a sigh. "There's something about this area of skin that drives me crazy but I don't understand why... Soft and flawless pale skin, that goes from your graceful neck to your gorgeous breasts, also your shoulders and the collarbone, your pulse is beating under this sweet flesh... it's so amazingly beautiful and sensual. And if I lean forward, I can see the smallest hint of the white lace of your bra... and my brain turns into jelly..."

"You're too gay to function right now," I reply laughing and she blinks, coming back to reality before nodding. "Do you know that booties are a trend in Hollywood, don't you? Everybody is working out to tone and lift buttocks, not boobs."

"I prefer this," Iselen stops abruptly, leaning forward to kiss the tattoo that's over my breast. "Fuck, you smell so good... What...?" The vampire pushes me behind her body to protect me in less than a second and Terra drops her champagne glass, running towards us bewildered but ready to fight, guests cry scared and Ru stars barking like crazy while Raven holds her leash. Some kind of orange-colored fog that reeks of sulfur has appeared on the pool and it's spreading, getting closer to the dance floor. "What's that?"

"Is that Michaela?" The werewolf asks surprised and I nod, confused. An arm has appeared in the middle of the fog followed by the head of the woman who looks at us with hatred while fighting to get into our world again through this new hell gate. My fingertips start itching while I feel rage bursting inside my guts, I can't believe this demon is trying to escape from hell one more time.

"What an unbearable bitch!" I growl angrily waving my hand. A powerful energy pulse pushes Michaela back and she falls on her butt in shock, the gate closes and the disgusting fog disappears while the guests look at me surprised for a long minute. Elric starts clapping from his corner of the garden and they all copy his movements, complimenting me and raising their glasses to me, laughing. I smile and curtsy to thank them while Iselen chuckles and Terra sighs relieved.

"Where did you learn to do that?" the vampire asks and I shrug.

"I've been training hard with Raven and Maeve, reading some books from the library and Mirabelle taught me some meditation exercises to gather and control magical energy." I point at the witch that's on the other side of the garden eating canapes and talking to the nymphs, her cat Jacques has become a close friend of my dogs and Ru showed him how to chase squirrels. "But I found out that the best thing I can do is let myself go with the flow, my brain knows what to do even if I don't understand what's going on and I just follow my instinct... hell gates open and close to my will."

"Bad news for Michaela," Terra laughs amused, taking a look around. "What do you want to do now? We can eat something, go to dance again, greet more guests... Iselen, wait, where are you going?" The vampire remains silent and takes my hand, dragging me across the garden, the werewolf follows us puzzled holding my green veil and the train of my white dress, smiling at the guests, but Iselen doesn't stop to talk and keeps walking away from the house, beyond the artificial cave with a fountain that hides the tunnel that allows us to get out of the Wind Rose unnoticed. Suddenly, she stops in the middle of a small clearing surrounded by leafy trees that I didn't know, there's a white wooden bench with fluffy pillows and a small round table where a bottle of cold champagne is waiting along with three glasses and a candle that illuminates the area softly.

"What's this place?" I ask confused and the vampire smiles.

"Your private garden."

"My what?"

"This is my wedding present for you. You have a diamond ring from Terra's mother, a very special family possession that's important for the wolf, and I thought I should give you another present that had to mean something deep but I didn't find anything I liked in the safe box so..." Iselen waves her hand, pointing at the trees around us. "This area of the property is yours, your garden, nobody can come here if you don't invite them first, not even us. You can be alone and relax, read a book and take a break far away from the noise of the big house and curious guests. I wanted to give you your own and independent space."

"That's very thoughtful, thank you, babe..."

"You haven't seen anything yet," the vampire smirks mischievously, winking at me before clapping once. Suddenly, a magical light illuminates the clearing but it doesn't only come from the fireflies on the oak trees and beeches trunks and the candle on the table. The clearing is surrounded by flowers and mushrooms in all colors, they grow in the bushes around trees and in pots that are strategically placed in darker corners... and all the petals emit a soft light. There're bluebells, daisies, daffodils, poppies, windflowers, marigold, lavender, thyme... They all smell heavenly and glow in the clearing like small fairy lights.

"Oh my God, this is gorgeous. How did you do that?" I ask shocked sitting on the bench, fixing the veil and the train of my dress carefully before looking around while she pours champagne in glasses.

"The forest nymphs helped me."

"Great job, Iselen," Terra sits down next to me, putting her arm on the back of the bench and taking her glass. "I'm impressed."

"Me too," I admit nodding. "I love it, babe, thank you very much. I like having my own space, but you know you both can come to my garden whenever you want."

"Thank you, Ruby, but I think Terra and I should respect your privacy, give you space so you can adjust to your new life and not feel overwhelmed and... what's wrong?" The vampire stares at the werewolf bewildered, she's put her glass on the table again and covers her face with her hands, leaning back on the bench.

"I'm freaking out," Terra lowers her hands and shakes her head, laughing amused. "The bloodsucker understands what subtlety is, finally... If I'd know that getting married was the only thing you needed to stop behaving like a shameless and impertinent brat, I would've proposed to you centuries ago."

"Hey, shut up, plush toy! You fell in love with this shameless and impertinent brat." Iselen cries offended and I can't help burst into laughing.

"You both are wonderful," I whisper leaning forward to kiss the vampire's cheek. "Thank you, for everything, I can't wait to spend the eternity by your side." Iselen smiles back at me but she averts her eyes to my cleavage for a split second again and a naughty idea makes its way through my mind like a flash. "It's very pretty, I bought it thinking of you specifically... Delicate French white lace... Do you want to take a look?" The vampire swallows hard and nods while the werewolf look at us perplexed.

"What are you talking about?"

"About my underwear," I answer turning my head to look at her face, pointing at the small buttons on my back. Iselen puts her glass on the ground and starts working slowly to unbutton them. "Apparently, the vampire's brain melts every time she looks at my neckline and the lace of my bra pokes out a little."

"Understandable," Terra whispers looking down too and swallowing hard when I get rid of the sleeves and the dress falls around my waist, crumpled. "Wow... gorgeous..."

"The panties and garter belt I'm wearing match the bra too," I reply while the vampire kneels down on the grass in front of me, staring at me like I'm something edible... and I guess that's what I am for her. Her fingertips follow the outlines of the tattoos on my arms, going up and getting closer to the lace bra, mesmerized. Terra leans forward and her nose grazes the curve of my neck before she kisses my collarbone. I sigh, getting relaxed on the bench, and my wives pepper the skin of my breasts with soft kisses. Iselen nibbles at my jugular carefully, sending a shiver down my spine.

"You're so beautiful and we're so lucky..." the wolf whispers, moving away the bra strap and sliding her lips over the tattoo on my chest. Iselen's hands touch the lace on my ribs reverently, going around my torso and tickling me. Suddenly, the garment falls on my lap and both women hold back their breaths.

"Perfect," the vampire whispers, leaning forward, circling a nipple with her tongue. I close my eyes and tilt my head back, enjoying the heat of her mouth while my pussy walls clench every time she sucks the sensitive bud. Terra copies her movements on my other breast and a moan escapes from my lips.

"Iselen..." I whisper tangling my fingers in her hair to move her closer to my chest. "I love my new garden and you're invited to come here whenever you want... Oh my God, babe..." The wolf's hand has found its way under my long skirt and petticoat and it's going up slowly, touching my thigh over the stockings till finding my hot and wet core while her mouth keeps worshiping my nipple. "In fact, I think I'm going to force you to come here several times per week."

"Whatever you want, my love," the vampire whispers on my breast before going up slowly, touching my skin. One of her fangs grazes my neck naughtily and my body gets tense, expectantly, while Terra's fingers rub the lace of my panties on my clit and her lips suck my hard nipple again and again. I open my eyes, looking at the tree branches dimly lit by the colorful flowers around us, stars shine like diamonds over the Wind Rose while I bite my lower lip to muffle a moan. My abdomen clenches when the werewolf finds a very sensitive spot, pleasure runs wild through my veins and I can't help smiling before closing my eyes again.

The vampire sinks her fangs in my jugular and the entire world vanishes around me, only my wives and the colorful flowers remain immutable.
