Kai

As the days went on and we spent more time together, I could almost feel Kyungsoo and me growing closer. We went on more dates and, when we felt comfortable enough, told all of our friends about us, although most of them had figured it out by that time. Gradually, his friends became my friends and my friends became his friends. Chanyeol still hadn't completely warmed up to me yet, but he was usually too preoccupied with Baekhyun anyway. Three months had gone by quickly yet blissfully and I never wanted it to change.

"So do your guys' parents know yet?" Xiumin asked me at lunch one afternoon as I was sitting with him, Luhan, Tao, Sehun, and of course, Kyungsoo.

"I-I haven't told my parents," Kyungsoo said as he shook his head lightly and nervously. "I don't know if I will...I don't know what they'd do if I did."

"I would either be away at some conversion therapy camp or dead," I interjected, putting another spoonful of rice into my mouth.

"That seems a little dramatic," Sehun said as he took a sip of his drink. "They can't really be that bad. I've met them and they seem nice."

"Oh, it's not dramatic. They may seem like good people on the outside, but they, like many others, have been possessed by hateful and hypocritical Christianity. They'd kill me if I told them now."

"Does that mean you're never going to tell them? I mean, no offense, but you guys aren't exactly subtle when it comes to your feelings," Luhan said. Kyungsoo and I looked at each other briefly.

"I will...once I graduate and find my own place. I've been saving up money from chores and my part-time job, so as soon as I graduate, I'm moving out. I'll tell them right before I leave for good. That way, they can't force me to go to some program or financially blackmail me. I won't have to deal with them anymore."

"You really think you can cut them off? Just like that?" Xiumin questioned with raised eyebrows?

I sighed as I looked at him. "I think I'm gonna have to," I said, my voice lower. "They'll never accept this part of me, no matter how much they claim to love me." The table went quiet for a moment and I felt Kyungsoo grab my hand from under the table, which made me look up a little and smile faintly.

"I'm sure everything will work out the way it's supposed to," he said, turning his head to Xiumin toward the end of his sentence. I laced our fingers together and gave his hand a little squeeze. It wasn't too long after that that Chanyeol walked up to the table and joined us.

"Hey Yeollie," Kyungsoo said, prompting Chanyeol to wave at him. He turned around for a moment right as he was about to sit down, letting out a loud groan.

"Baek, come on. I already told you they don't bite all the time," Chanyeol said as he walked away briefly. He came back over seconds later, gripping someone's wrist tightly in his hand. I was surprised to see that it was Baekhyun as Chanyeol forced him to sit next to him while Chanyeol sat next to me.

"Guys, this Baekhyun and he is kind of shy, so please don't eat him alive," Chanyeol said, mostly talking to Luhan and Tao across the table. They just looked at each other as if they were totally oblivious, which made me chuckle.

"Hi Baekhyun, it's nice to finally meet you. I'm Kyungsoo, but feel free to call me D.O," Kyungsoo greeted, acquiring a timid smile from him in response.

"He doesn't even know I exist," I said, quoting Baekhyun. Baekhyun just scowled at me and I laughed.

"What? Did I miss something?" Chanyeol questioned, looking back and forth between us.

"No, it's nothing," Baekhyun said frantically before I jumped in. I laughed and just waved my hand at Kyungsoo, telling him not to worry about it.

"So are you guys officially dating yet?" Kyungsoo asked excitedly as he leaned on the table and looked at them. Baekhyun and Chanyeol exchanged shy looks, Chanyeol letting out a small laugh as Baekhyun's cheeks turned red.

"Kind of...we haven't really talked about it, but I guess we are. We're in a weird place, still trying to figure everything out really," Chanyeol answered, prompting Baekhyun to nod in agreement.

"How cute! Another new couple." Luhan clapped as he cooed at them. "We could make it three if someone just found their balls and asked someone out." He didn't even have to look at Xiumin for us to know who he was referring to. Xiumin just rolled his eyes.

Lunch ended about 20 minutes later and I decided to walk Kyungsoo back to his classroom before I headed back to mine.

"So, my parents are hosting this youth group thing at my house tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to come," I said as we stopped in front of the door. He looked at me with surprise written all over his face.

"That would mean I'd have to meet your parents," he said.

"Yeah," I replied slowly out of nervousness, rubbing the back of my neck. "Obviously, I would just tell them you're a friend, but if you don't think you can handle that, it's fine. I'd understand."

"It's not that I couldn't handle it, but the others weren't wrong when they said we aren't subtle," he replied, glancing down at our hands as I laid our fingers together. "What if they catch on?"

"Then, I guess I'll just have to show you lots of physical affection before then," I said, causing him to laugh. "Look, I know it'll be difficult and probably really annoying at times to keep up a lie, but if it's the only way I can still be with you, I'll do it." He smiled, his cheeks turning a faint shade of red.

"I guess I could make an appearance then," he finally answered. I smiled happily.

"Good. I promise it won't be too boring. I have some cool friends there who hate it just as much as me," I said, earning another small laugh from him. "And then afterward..." I moved closer to his ear and lowered my volume to almost a whisper, "maybe we can find somewhere private and make up for all the time we'll be forced to restrain ourselves for." His cheeks got even brighter and he bit his bottom lip a little. I chuckled and pecked his lips. "There is gonna be pizza, so don't eat before you get there. I'd ask Sehun to borrow his car, but that'd be a risky move."

"Okay," he said. "I'll see if Chanyeol can drive me."

And with that, I gave him one more kiss and watched him walk into his class before heading toward mine.

Kyungsoo

I wasn't too sure if I should have been excited. Normally, meeting the parents is a good thing, something one should be excited about. But I wasn't really meeting his parents, at least not as who I actually was to him. All I could think about was what would happen if they somehow figured it out from the way we looked at each other or caught us trying to steal a kiss because we just couldn't handle not being able to touch each other for so long. I didn't know, but I did know that I didn't want to find out.

Chanyeol dropped me off about five minutes before it was supposed to start, as he was on his way to pick up Baekhyun. I thanked and said goodbye to him before nervously walking up to Kai's front door. I knocked on it lightly, hoping one of his parents wouldn't answer. Luckily, he greeted me with his big, warm smile when the door opened a minute or so later.

"Hey," he said. I could tell he was resisting the urge to kiss me from the way he was squeezing his hands into fists. However, he decided to give in to his urge and looked around briefly before leaning in and pecking my lips briefly.

"W-Why did you do that?" I managed to mutter while looking inside. "Someone could have seen us."

"No, we're good." Kai shook his head and just pulled me inside. I sighed; yeah, subtly wasn't our specialty.

There weren't many people in there, but there was definitely an adequate amount to make me feel a little claustrophobic. He took me right over to where his parents were, deciding to get the hard part out of the way first I guess.

"Mom, dad, this is my friend from school, Kyungsoo," he said, gently pushing me to his side.

"Hello, it's nice to meet you," I said as I bowed politely.

"It's nice to meet you, too, Kyungsoo," his mom said, smiling at me. His dad seemed on the quieter side, as he just nodded and smiled at me. "Looks like they are about to start soon, so why don't you two go in the living room?" He nodded and lead me out into the semi-crowded room.

"So, are you friends with all these people?" I asked him, trying not to be too loud even though the room was occupied with noise.

"To be honest, no," he said. "I mean, with the exception of one of them, but all the rest are really annoying." I cracked a smile but contained my laughter. Someone walked up to us in the next few seconds and I figured he was the exception. "Hey dude, how's it going?"

"Uh...it's going," the unfamiliar person replied, causing Kai to chuckle.

"This is Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo this is the one exception, Ravi. Kyungsoo and I go to school together," he said, introducing us briefly.

"Hey," he said while I just smiled a friendly smile. "So, are you ready for the fun adventures that youth group holds?"

"Always," Kai replied sarcastically.

"I honestly just came for the free pizza."

"Why else would you come?" He just nodded, laughing a little.

"Alright guys, gather around. We are gonna start now," an older man said loudly, catching the attention of everyone in the room.

"Come on. We usually sit over here," Kai said to me. I followed them over towards three open seats that were across from where the older man was sitting.

About an hour later...

"So continuing on with the subject of sinning," the group leader said, "can anyone give me an example of when our sins came with consequences?"

I heard Kai lightly groan from beside me and glanced at him, only to see him roll his eyes faintly.

There was a brief silence before he called on someone who had raised their hand. "Minjun, go ahead."

"Well, I had this one friend who had sinned really bad," he began. "He was caught sneaking around with another guy."

Automatically, my heart began to pick up speed and I noticed Kai's head shoot up as well.

"Long story short, he went out driving that same day after this huge argument with them and got really hurt in a car accident. For the longest time, I thought that maybe it wasn't his fault and that maybe his parents overreacted, but then I realized it was God punishing him for his sin."

Kai shifted in his chair uncomfortably and I tried to cover up the fact I was too becoming uncomfortable.

"And that's just one example of how our sins catch up to us fast," the man said. I looked at Kai again, but he kept his eyes on the floor this time. "Alright, that concludes this month's meeting, so continue to pray, and may we all meet again next month better than before."

With that, everyone started to rise from their seats and say their goodbyes. Kai's parents showed everyone out until only us four remained.

"We are going out with a couple of the parents for a while. Will you boys be alright on your own until we get back?" his mom asked as she put on her coat.

"Yeah mom," he said, letting out a small sigh.

"Okay, just make sure you keep all the doors and windows locked and the blinds shut, and don't answer the phone or door unless it's someone you know. And--"

"Mom, I have the rules memorized by heart. We'll be okay," Kai said, cutting her off.

"Okay. We should be back before nine o'clock." She hugged him and kissed his forehead before they exited the house, shutting the door behind them. Kai locked the front door, as he was told to do, before taking hold of my hand and leading me upstairs to his room.

The force of him smashing his lips against mine caused me to sit on his bed, which was probably what he wanted anyhow. His tongue drifted across my underlying lip and I instantly opened it for him.

He proceeded with his exploration and put his hands under my shirt simultaneously. I pulled back from the kiss not long after so that I could regain some air, only to have his kisses begin traveling down my neck, sucking and licking on my skin and probably leaving a mark.

"Kai?" I asked once enough air had filled my lungs.

"Mmhmm?" he hummed against my tingling skin.

"What do you really think your parents would do if they found about us?" He put his kisses on hold and looked at me with concern in his eyes.

"Your question wouldn't have anything to do with Minjun's story, would it?" he asked. "Look, that's such bullshit what he said. He wasn't being punished. If his parents weren't such assholes to him, he wouldn't have left the house upset and gotten into an accident."

"I know, but I've just been thinking about it a lot lately, especially after what you said at lunch today." He sighed a little and looked down.

"I don't know what they'd do honestly," he admitted. "They'd probably yell at me first, but after that, who knows?" I exhaled and took hold of his hand, rubbing my fingers against his skin.

"It's just...I don't know if I could handle being without you if they found out," I said, now feeling sort of sad. I heard him smile as he rubbed his hand against my cheek.

"I won't let anything tear us apart, okay?" he said, peering right into my eyes. I smiled dimly and nodded. "Even if something happens and we have to separate for a while, I'll get back to you somehow. They won't keep us apart." Smiling, I nodded. He smiled back and then reconnected our lips and this time, I kissed back with so much want.

"Are we doing this?" he asked after he pulled back, breaking the kiss for a second time. I looked into his eyes and thought about it. Gradually, I had been feeling less and less hesitant about the topic of sex. I knew there was still no rush, but I felt ready in that moment. I wanted him.

"Yeah, if you want to," I said. He just smiled again and pressed another kiss to my lips. After a few kisses, he moved his hands to the hem of my shirt, helping me to lift it off and tossing it on his floor. He then gently laid me on the bed and kissed me as he hovered over me.

A/N

There was the "smut" for this story lol. I just liked the idea of alluding to it better for this story instead of doing a full smut scene. Made more sense to me :)

Thanks for reading!! xoxoxoxo
