Chapter 27 Okonomiyaki

Tetsumi's POV

Good thing the typhoon that's in our area is gone, it was a quick storm but everything went back to normal and the match between Seirin and Kirisaki Daiichi will continue its match tomorrow...

Everyone was in their homes training on their own when Rikochi and I check up on them through group message, it was crazy and messy when they make fun of each other as if there is no upcoming match, we were laughing and decided to let them continue their training.

As for me, I told Rikochi that I will be having Teppi and Tetsuchi be their mentor. She did not ask much and let me be and gave them their own training plans. It was a hard one, I know because I can see it from my brother that he is having a hard time but it's only a quick training yet a lot of workout plans. This is also to enhance his Ignite Pass Kai, especially his Vanishing Drive, he can use it now but it's up to him. As for you Teppi, his workouts are more focused on his knee to improve mobility and lessen any injury that may happen to him.

I even taught them the strategy they will follow but still cooperates with Rikochi's plan, I guess I am confident that they will do good in the match tomorrow...

It was still windy tonight as I walk out from the station, I look forward to see two people, one is waving at me that caught my attention, I walk towards them and hugged the two tightly.

"Long time no see, Makichi! Reo-Nee!" I greeted them both.

"We just saw each other the other day, what are you talking about Tetsucha!" Makichi jokes, I pouted at her and release the both of them.

"Yeah, when your team intentionally LOSE THE MATCH!" There were imaginary flames around me as I glare at Makichi, she just laughs it off as Reo-nee calm me down a bit.

"Ara ara~ calm down now, let us not cause a scene here in the middle of the way. save your feud later when we eat. Tonight it's-" Reo-nee was cut off when Makichi butts in between us.

"It's okonomiyaki night!" she cheers.

Once we get into our seats, the two immediately took the menus and started chatting over the meal they are going to order, me on the other hand, let them be for a bit and took my phone out when I felt a vibration. It was a message from him which took me by surprise.

'Don't get too comfortable during this time of night.' 

That is what written in the message, I just sighed and replied to Makochi, yes it was him who texted. Of course, he is worried about his little sister and should have texted her directly, especially the situation we are in at the moment.

Tomorrow, we will be on the opposite side of the court, fighting for the position to the WinterCup, we should be focusing on ourselves, to be prepared yet here he is, texting me, teasing me these past few days during the storm. Probably bored and that is why he decided to poke fun of me which is totally normal for him to do.

'Don't worry, we have Reo-nee with us, he will be with Makichi at the station.' I texted back.

'Good... stay fat, fatso.' he replies back which made me shocked and irritated, did he just called me a fatso? The nerve of that bastard (ʘ言ʘ╬)

"What will you be having Tetsucha? The usual?" Makichi asks, my attention went to her, I just smiled and nodded.

"You know my all-time favorite, it's--" I was cut off by Reo-nee when he finished what I say.

"One Hiroshima Okonomiyaki for the smiling lady, with extra mayonnaise and nori." Reo-nee winks at me which made me confused, was I smiling?

"Was I-" I was cut off by Reo-nee when he placed his hands together and clasped lightly to get our attention.

"Right, Maki-chan, let's guess why Tetsumi-chan was smiling a moment ago, the winner will have free drinks!" He announces and saw Makichi's eyes twinkles.

"I like that! Uhmmm... let's see, her favorite anime is airing tonight!" She guesses, I just shook my head in disbelief from their little play.

"Mine turn... is your favorite voice actor will be having a  fan meeting soon?" Reo-nee guesses, my eyes widen and didn't noticed that my mouth was gaping and snatch my phone from the table and typed frantically.

"Ah! You're right! Tatsuhisa-senpai will be holding a fan meet on Sunday!" I shrieked while the two gaped at me, eh?

"Eh?" They both said in unison. I look at them both with widen eyes.

"What do you mean by 'eh?' I thought you guys already know about it!" I said in disbelief.

"REALLY?" The way they reacted made me realized that they are not aware of the event, then soon we started laughing by our reactions, we were giggling and holding our fangirl moment as we lightly tap on the table to suppress our voices.

Our ordered meal arrived and we started cooking our okonomiyaki, we were waiting for it to be cooked when Reo-nee told me that he was with onee-chan when he watched my match with Shutoku, it's not that surprising since she watched the game because of her boyfriend.

"Ah, I forgot!" I spoke, making them turn their attention to me. I looked at Makichi who is sitting across the table to me and looked at her seriously.

"Why did you guys purposely lose your match the other day? That was disrespectful to your school," I said as I crossed my arms to show that I am really serious and disappointed with their decision, specifically to Makichi since she is the coach of their basketball team.

I saw how her reactions change and became quiet, Reo-nee was silent as he cooks our food.

"It was onii-chan's decision to do it," she spoke, that did not surprise me at all.

"Looks like it, considering that I already know that guy from head to toe, heck I can even tell where his mole is located..." I sighed, I took the spatula and started eating.

"Eh~ how lewd Tetsumi-chan, you know where his mole is?" Reo-nee teases beside Makichi, suddenly blushes formed on my face when I realized what I just said, crap!

"Eh--uh... I just blabbered something! Dont mind it!" I said blushing.

"You wouldn't say something like that if you didn't know. I have seen it as well, considering that we used to take a shower together when we used to be on the same team." He teases more, Makichi placed her hand on her lips realizing what he meant while I got more flustered.

"You mean-- EEHHHHH? Tetsucha! I didn't you're already at that stage--" I cut her off before going there!

"No, no! It's nothing like that! Y-you know boys with the habit of being topless all the time, right? I just accidentally saw it, I swear!" I explained, both of them just looked at me not convinced with I just said and was still amused by it.

"Where did she saw it, Reo-nee," Makichi asked, his lips curved and was containing his laughter when I just blushed even more that I can't take it, my virgin ears (┛ಠДಠ)┛彡┻━┻

"On his...... groin!!" He said a little loud, I just facepalmed to hide my red like apple face while Makichi did the same.

"Th-that close to the d--?!" I suddenly squealed in front of them to stop them from finishing what she thought. Makochi and I DID NOT GO THERE...yet.

YET? WHAT YET? AHHHH MY VIRGIN BRAIN (((( ;OДO))))

"oh, hush Tetsumi-chan! You must be open-minded with this kind of topic, considering that you two have been together since junior high school." Reo-nee said and was smiling from ear to ear, I blushed even more.

"What?! You two are already going out?!" Makichi said in surprise, I placed my hands in front of the two and shake them to remove the idea of that.

"Guys, we are NOT going out, okay? I was just told by our coach to look out for him since he's really stubborn and usually get involved in a fight! That's it!" I explained, they just hummed at me and nodded.

Now that I think about it, we were usually together back then... was it because the coach told me to make sure that he attends the training and avoiding him verbally pick a fight from other students? or...

I didn't finish my thought and shook my head to remove the thought and proceed with eating my food.

We were quite noisy but good thing the restaurant was already buzzing with noises since there were a lot of customers when we get inside. Finally, we calmed down from that embarrassment and enjoyed our food until I realized that I got distracted from the main topic we are talking about.

"Tell me, Makichi, why did he do it?" I asked her. I looked at her when Reo-nee did the same, she took a moment before she answered me.

"He planned to compete with your team, he intentionally lost to make sure that you will still be able to have a match with us IF your team lost to Shutoku." She answers.

"Come on, he's belittling Seirin!" Reo-nee comments, I agreed and pouted from what I heard.

"Is there anything else?" I asked more, she thinks for a bit but told me that she doesn't know anything else.

The moment Makichi told me his reason, my instinct sparked. my heterochromia twitched and wanted to be rubbed but I didn't, there was a moment of silence in my surroundings despite the buzzing of people that surrounds us. my friends were busy with themselves when I slowly closed my eyes and opened them again...

My eyes squinted and my expression changes, Reo-nee noticed my action and looked at me seriously.

"What's wrong Tetsumi-chan, what did you just predict?" He asked, Makichi looked at us before she became worried. Both of them know what's wrong when my ability turned on like a switch, like a light bulb. Should I tell them though? But I don't want Makichi to be worried and break their concentration, but there are consequences.

Someone is going to get hurt tomorrow. With that thought, my hand turned into a first and lightly hit the table as I stare into nowhere, the two became worried.

"Tetsumi-chan," Reo-nee called my attention, reality hit me and looked at the two, I smiled at them and told them not to worry about it, they are not convinced but they didn't pressured me anymore and enjoyed the rest of our dinner...

After dinner, we were walking back to the station, I have to wait behind for a bit since my way is on the opposite place from the two, Makichi left for a bit to take the restroom and Reo-nee and I was left behind.

"Obviously, what you did awhile ago at the restaurant tells me that it is not fine at all. I can see through to you, I know you, your hetero just sparked... spark of anger." He spoke, my attention is at the railway in front of us.

"It was bad, but what makes it worse is that I can't do anything about it Reo-nee, it will definitely happen," I said to him, we were quiet for a short while until he turns towards me and pats my head, I looked him smiling at me.

"Do you happen to know why he's doing all this to you and your team?" He asked, I took a moment of silence and averted my attention.

"He promised that..." 

"Promise...?" He questions, I put back my attention to him and looked at him directly.

"He wants to battle against the Empress' Eye."

Soon after we bid our farewells to each other, I was left behind to wait for my train. I sat on the bleacher and rethink all the things I asked from Makichi and what my eye foresee. Everything I discovered tonight and the night when we're together made my blood boil in anger. He is not after my team, he is after ME, my Empress' Eye.

What does he wants from me? why is he so eager to battle against me? going too far to do what I just saw tomorrow?

My mind just flashes an idea that made me taken by surprise, don't tell me... 

did he discover a way to defeat me?

Hiroshima Okonomiyaki - like any other okonomiyaki, but with yakisoba.

Nori - Is a japanese term for dried seaweed.

I am sad and proudly announce that this fanfic story will come to an end :)

We really had our rollercoaster ride together, it was really fun and happy to interact with you guys in this story. We have a few chapters left and a surprise chapter coming in your way so prepare your tissue HAHA
