Chapter 24
06:43, 8 December 20163rd POV
"It's just that I don't ever remember being so happy before, you know?" Peggy nodded in agreement. "Life has gotten pretty good lately, I will admit that." John took a second to admire the buildings and nature around him. It was fall in NYC. Beautiful he thought to himself. As he continued to walk down the sidewalk next to his friend, John couldn't wait to get back to the dorm to see his boyfriend. "He's just so amazing." Peggy smiled, knowing who John was talking about. Then again, John was always talking about Alexander. It wasn't that hard to connect the dots. "He treats you well John. Honestly, I think that he thinks the world of you and more. The way he looks at you is 100 times more adorning than when Laf looks at Mulligan." John laughed at this. It had been a month since the two got together. The night they announced it to John and Alex, John immediately called over Angelica, Peggy, and Eliza to celebrate. The seven of them were always there for each other. Before they all met, John had Laf and Herc, and Peggy had Eliza and Angelica. Hamilton? He had no one. They all died or left. "I don't ever want to leave him. He's been through so much. I hate seeing him in pain." Peggy looked at John and smiled, which immediately comforted the man. John could see the dorm buildings approaching, and he got more and more excited with every step. He couldn't wait to see Hamilton. "Sorry," John laughed, realizing the conversation pattern. "I've been going on and on about myself. How have you been Ms. Schuyler?" Peggy laughed. John always had a way with words. That's what made John and Alex such a great team, John had a way with witty and humorous words, while Alex spoke in sonets and poems. Peggy admired their relationship, and wished she had one of her own. She was only in her senior year of high school, but she still hung out enough with her sisters and the guys to know what adult relationships were like. She wasn't as immature as people thought. "Same old same old. Some days are hard. Some days are better. Hanging out with you guys makes my days so much better. High Schoolers, especially seniors can be idiots. " John snickered at the reply. "Trust me, adults can be real bitches too. " And so they went, walking and talking. Once they reached the little cafe about 50 meters from the school, John said his goodbyes. Peggy was meeting someone for a school project or something. John never got the full story. He picked up the pace down the sidewalk once Peggy was inside the cafe. There was one thing on John's mind, and it was Alexander Hamilton.
A/N: cute lil filler fluff chapter for you guys to keep the love flowing. Hope you all are having a good day. If not, read this chapter again and smiled everytime it says John. I promise you will be in a better mood. Love you and goodnight 🌙⭐️💛
