25. Missing Love

18:05, 1 February 2016

CARA

"Hey Mikey boy," I greeted to the average tall man in the car waiting for me.

"Hey Caz," he said and smiled. "We're going for an extra long ride tonight."

"Cool. But not too long though, cause Kendall is home waiting for me," I explained and sat down in the car.

He chuckled at my statement and looked at me. "I love you guys both so much. Of course I will let Kenny get you before midnight."

I rolled my eyes and smiled. Mike is truly the best.

He drove around Brooklyn with the loud music pumping in our ears. Suddenly, two hours had already gone, and it felt like 2 minutes.

"Hey Cara," Mike said. "How's it going with you and Kenny? Like, for real?"

"It's great," I told him truthfully. "I never knew it was possible to love a person this much. I mean, I fall in love with every single day, and I never get bored with her."

His eyes were on the road, but I would see his broad smile.

The night continued, and soon, it was almost midnight. Mike, as promised, drove me home and said farewell. I stood outside my building and saw Mike's car disappear into the wide sunset that was just about to disappear as well.

I walked inside and took the elevator up to the apartment. I felt on the handle, and surprisingly enough, it was open. We always lock our door. Maybe Kendall forgot.

"Kenny Boo?" I playfully called on her. She's maybe already asleep, I mean, she's maybe taking it an easy night after yesterday night. I put my jacket and snapback on the floor and search through the kitchen and living room before I went to the bedroom.

No one there either.

On the toilet maybe? I rushed to the toilet and basically fell into the, unfortunately, empty room.

"KENDALL!!" I yelled over the apartment this time. "Shit where are you? Please don't play hide and seek with me, you know I suck at it."

I continued the search, and got nothing. Nothing. Suddenly, I saw a pillow on the floor from the couch in the living room.

"What is going on?" I asked myself and investigated the pillow. Kendall is clearly not home, and she is not the type who consciously leaves a pillow on the floor. Something must have happened, because it almost seems like she had been in a rush. And then I remembered the door.

"It wasn't locked..." I mumbled like I was some kind of detective.

I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and called Kendall.

No answer.

I called her again.

No answer.

Again.

No answer.

Again.

No answer.

"SHIT!!" I exclaimed and sighed.

I sent her a text message.

To: Kendall <3

'CALL ME NOW'

I was so upset and really worried. What is going on? That was the only thing on my mind. Is Kendall okay? What if she is hurt? What if she is... No don't say it.

I took a deep breath and called Mike instead. It was already midnight now.

"Hey Caz."

"Do you know where Kendall is?" I immediately asked.

"What? No. Isn't she with you?" he asked confused.

"No. I can't find her."

"I..." I felt the tears coming. "I can't find her and she doesn't answer the phone."

"Calm down Cara, I'm sure she's just with some friends or something. Hey, have you called Kylie?"

"N-no," I sobbed.

"Go do that. I'll go out and look for her."

And with that said, he hung up.

My body was shaking of nervousness. What if she actually was...? No. She's not. She's not. She's alive, hanging out with some friends. I'm sure of it.

I had to take another deep breath before I dialed the numbers to Kylie's phone.

"What's up?" she answered.

"Is Kendall with you?" I tried to swallow my sobs, but it just sounded like I had hick ups instead.

"No. Why?"

"Kendall is gone."
