22. Date dinner
21:48, 25 January 2016KENDALL
The morning sun was rising on the third day of our adventure. We didn't eat dinner last day, nor night food, so we woke up at like 6 am starving.
"Hmm, I'm hungry," Cara whined next to me under the big tree. "Can I please eat you?"
I just laughed and rolled my eyes. "We can eat the bananas."
"And for lunch?"
"I don't know. We have to fix money."
We sat under the big tree in the shadows and ate the bananas. Our phones had like 80% so we were fine. The sun was shining and it looked like it was gonna be a hot day.
"I'm gonna get eating disorders..." Cara mumbled and smirked at me.
"You just want me to feel bad for you, don't you?" I laughed.
"Well you should! I am starving!" she stated.
After our little breakfast, we walked to another part of the park. Even if it was pretty early, there was a lot of people in the park. Probably because of the nice weather. We walked to the part of the park where Central Park Zoo is pretty near. We decided to sneak into the zoo in the middle of the night if that would be possible. So we stayed around that area.
Soon, we were starving again from all the walking. So we climbed over the wall and searched for something. Anything. We just needed money or food.
Then Cara suddenly called on me a bit away from where I was, so I ran to her.
"What?" I panted.
"It's fountain with money!" she exclaimed and pointed at the big fountain behind her with dirty water in it. And also money apparently.
"But there's a sign behind the fountain saying that the money goes to hungry children Cara. We can't take the money from hungry children," I said and nodded to the big sign.
But Kenny," she looked at me. "If we don't take the money, we will become the hungry children! Whatever we do, if we take it or not, we will still get the money!"
"No we won't?"
"Yes we will! Because as I said, if we don't take this right now, we will become the hungry children and probably get food from these money right here. So taking the money is basically taking from ourselves."
I laughed at her statement. "You have a good fantasy baby," I admitted. "So yeah, let's take from ourselves."
We jumped in the shallow fountain and took all the money in it. In the end, we could afford a lot! I felt a bit guilty from doing it, but it soon grew away when I saw a laughing Cara. She laughed because she thought it was fun to take money from hungry kids, I guess... I don't understand Cara sometimes, but I think I would go nuts if I always did.
We walked to a grocery shop, soaking wet. You could see a wet trace on the floor where we had gone. Like a snail kind of.
We searched for something luxuriously, since we had so much money. But we ended up on Pizza Hut anyway. Not that it's not good there, it was honestly perfect.
"So this is like our first date?" I commented.
"Nah," she said and shrugged. "Our first date were on the cute cafe."
"That wasn't a date though," I stated.
"What?" she said and looked disappointed. "This can't be our first date! It's supposed to be special. I am supposed to make it special. For you."
"It's never too late," I smiled.
"Will you go out on a date with me?" she asked and chuckled.
"I would love to."
"Tonight," she said. "I'm gonna make it special."
I smiled and grabbed her hands and looked her straight in her eyes. Her eyes were glimmering and looked confused at me. She was probably wondering what I was doing. My hands held her hands tightly; I wanted her to understand that I never want to leave her.
"I love you. You know that, right?" I told her.
"I love you too," she just answered.
"You didn't answer."
"Do I have to?"
"Yes."
She sighed, but I could hint a smile on her face.
"I love you, and you love me. We both know that," she finally said and smiled to me.
"Now I don't have to worry. Because Cara, you know that I care, right?" I continued to torture her.
She laughed. "Of course baby."
"Good girl."
After our heavenly good pizza, we went to the spot where we were supposed to spend the night at. It was under a tree, not as big as the last tree. It was a bit smaller. I leaned my back on the small oak and closed my eyes. Cara was next to me, probably planning her date for us. And then I drifted off to sleep.
I woke up by someone who were whispering: "Psst," in my ear. I opened my eyes slowly and saw Cara right before me. I didn't say anything, I just grabbed her head and gave her a french kiss.
"Wow," she took a deep breath. "That was unexpected..."
"Well, you know, I am a very unpredictable person."
I stood up and stretched while I saw Cara's look on me. I met her eyes, and she immediately looked down and blushed. It was so cute.
"Liking what you're seeing?" I teased. Like the first time we hung out.
No answer this time either.
"Not gonna answer?" I laughed.
But this time, she didn't say 'Nope'.
"I don't like it, I love it," she said and smiled so her teeth were showing.
It was so cute I didn't know what to do. So I just jumped up in her arms hugged her. She was stumbling back a little, but she soon got the balance back.
"The menu for tonight is simple baby. First, we're gonna go and eat dinner at a fancy restaurant in this beautiful Manhattan night. Then, we will get our dessert at a simple ice cream cafe. Sounds good?" she let me down.
"Sounds perfect," I said satisfied.
"And then we will sneak into the zoo, and then, I have a surprise for you..." she bit her lip.
"Yay! I can't wait for it Cara!" I said and gave her a peck.
She led outside the walls, and down the street. We entered a really really fancy restaurant. The waitresses wore matching outfits. Even shoes! She led me further into the restaurant, and out to the porch. She showed me a chair at a empty table. I sat down and looked over the amazing view.
"This is... stunning," I just said. No words can explain how beautiful it was. But the most beautiful part was of course Cara, as usual.
"I know, right?" she agreed. "Guess why I chose this table my dear."
A waitress came to our table and asked us what we wanted.
"Can we afford everything?" I asked when we had ordered.
"I've checked, babe, don't worry," she assured me.
And after some hungry minutes, our food came. Two fillet of beef was put down in front of us, with a bowl of potatoes.
"Enjoy," was the waitress last words before she disappeared in the big crowd of people on the inside.
We started to eat immediately and Oh. My. God. Is there anything called mouth-orgasm? Cause I think I just got one... Yeah I know it sounds really really weird, but it's the best explanation of what it tasted like. My mouth watered by just looking at the food.
"You're drooling baby," Cara laughed and gave me a napkin.
"It's so good!!" I exclaimed and ate more. "We have to eat here everyday!!"
"Yeah! We should!" she agreed.
When the food was gone, after like some seconds probably, we just sat and talked more. I couldn't eat anything more, but if I would've gotten another plate of that fillet beef, I would've eaten everything, I swear.
After like one hour of just talking, and one hour of melting the food in our stomachs, we decided to go to the ice cream cafe. It was around 10 pm when we arrived at the colorful little kiosk.
"Simple, as I said."
We bought our ice cream, and guess what? It was just as good as the dinner. Heavenly delicious and indescribably good. No words, literally no words can explain the tasteful explosion that happened in my mouth every time I took another bite. Or another lick.
And after the dessert, we were done for the adventure of the night. And adventure of the week probably.
Break into the Central Park Zoo.
Now it begins.
