⋆ Chapter 37 ⋆Open The Fucking Door

                  The girls arrived at the crowded house after picking up Jules. There were tons of cars lined up the street. It took the girls 10 minutes to even find a spot to park.

"If I don't find a bathroom, I'm gonna spend New Year's with a fucking UTI." Maddy exclaimed rushing up the driveway and into the house with Adaline by her side. Both girls were in desperate need of the bathroom.

"Does anyone know where the bathroom is?" Adaline asked a couple of people that were chilling by the front door.

"Bathroom? Bathroom? Where's the bathroom?" Maddy shouted dragging Adaline along with her.

"That way." Some random guy replied pointing down a dark hallway.

"Thank you." The girls responded simultaneously.

"Have you guys seen Cassie?" Lexi asked rushing over towards Maddy and Adaline.

"I thought she was with you." Maddy answered.

They had called Cassie to see if she wanted to get ready with them but she said she was going with Lexi. Adaline also texted her later to see if she had arrived at the party yet but she got no response.

"No, we like got in a screaming fight and she got out the car in the middle of the road." Lexi explained.

"Wait, what?"

"What were you fighting about?" Adaline questioned worried. She hoped nothing bad happened to Cassie.

"She was drinking while I was driving."

"How long ago was this?" Asked Maddy.

"Like an hour and a half."

"Did you call her?"

"She's not answering." Lexi replied.

"She didn't answer me earlier when I texted her but I didn't think anything of it. I just assumed she was busy." Adaline shrugged.

"I'm actually worried. She was, like, very drunk."

"I'm sure she's fine. There's no way Cassie's going to miss a New Year's Eve party." Maddy said reassuring Lexi.

"We're going to the bathroom and then afterwards we can help you look for her." Adaline smiled hoping to help relax Lexi.

Maddy led the Kingston girl down the hallway. They both opened random doors trying to find the bathroom. The two girls finally came to the last door at the hall. Maddy reached out and attempted to turn the doorknob but it wouldn't move.

"It's locked." Maddy groaned.

Maddy and Adaline were totally oblivious to the two people on the other side of the door. They had no idea that Nate was drunkenly making out with Cassie thinking that she was Adaline. The Jacobs boy wasn't broken out of his drunken haze until he heard pounding on the door.

"I'm using the fucking bathroom!" Nate yelled continuing to grope Cassie's breasts.

"Nate?" Adaline questioned from beside Maddy.

Cassie gasped loudly at the sound of Adaline's voice. Nate's eyes widened as he looked down at Cassie. The soft voice coming from the girl he loved was enough to sober him up. In that moment everything came crashing down on him. He knew he fucked up.

"Shh!" Nate quickly hissed putting his hand over Cassie mouth praying that Adaline hadn't heard her. "Just a sec." He shouted.

"Open the fucking door, Nate! I have to pee!" Maddy however wasn't in the mood to wait. She began pounding her fists against the door even harder than before.

"Hold on!" Nate was beginning to panic. Both Adaline and Maddy were outside the door. He was royally screwed if they found him with Cassie. "Yo, just a minute!"

Nate moved away from Cassie and began looking around the bathroom. He tried opening the small window but it wouldn't budge. "Fuck!" He cursed turning back towards Cassie and scoffing. "Are you fuckin' crying?"

Cassie didn't respond. She instead continued to cry and mumble to herself as she tried to fix her dress. She couldn't believe what was happening.

"What's taking him so long?" Adaline wondered aloud. Maddy shrugged and continued to bang on the bathroom door.

"Open the door!" Maddy yelled.

"Nate, can you please open the door?" Adaline took a different approach then Maddy. She attempted to remain calm even though she was starting to get suspicious. What was he doing in there?

"Just give me a minute Ads." Nate sighed before looking back at Cassie. "Shh, there's no fuckin' reason to cry. You haven't been caught."

"We have to pee, Nate! Open the door!" Adaline tried again. She didn't understand what was taking him so long. Adaline could tell that he was on edge because his voice raised slightly higher than normal.

"Calm down and put your clothes on." Nate instructed the blonde.

"I can't... they're my best friends." She cried.

"What the fuck is he doing in there?" Maddy huffed out. "Open the door! I need to pee!"

"I'm just usin' the bathroom! Just a second!" He shouted getting annoyed with the constant banging and Cassie's crying. "Fuckin' pee outside!"

"Are you fucking serious?" Adaline was stunned.

"Is he serious?" Maddy questioned looking at Adaline with raised eyebrows.

"Are you seriously telling your pregnant girlfriend to go and pee outside?" Adaline asked pissed.

"Are you taking a shit at a party?" Maddy leaned forward putting her ear up against the door. "You're so disgusting. I can smell it. I hear you taking a shit."

"He's not taking a shit Maddy." Adaline rolled her eyes.

"Then what the fuck is he doing?"

"Being fucking sketchy." The brunette retorted moving closer to the door.

"Hurry the fuck up!" Both girls shouted pounding on the door.

"We shouldn't have done this." Cassie cried.

"I know. I know but I really need you to focus." He sighed. Nate couldn't deal with her breakdown right now. He needed to figure out how they were going to get out of this.

"I'm so scared. I'm really scared, Nate." She cried knowing that if Maddy and Adaline found her she'd be dead. They would never forgive her.

"Wipe your ass and come out. We need to pee!" Maddy was getting fed up. She was honestly debating on going outside to pee but she knew Adaline needed an actual bathroom. "I'm gonna break this fucking door, Nate. Open the fucking door!"

Adaline kept banging on the door while Maddy was talking to some dude named Travis. Adaline had never seen him before but he was kind of cute. He'd be good for Maddy but Adaline could tell she wasn't feeling him.

"Wait, did you not wash your hands?" Maddy questioned breaking Adaline out of her thoughts. She looked up and connected eyes with Nate who had finally came out of the bathroom.

"What the fuck are you talking about, Maddy?" Nate asked annoyed. He glared over at Travis who was standing a little too close to both girls.

"I can't believe you took a shit at a party, and you didn't wash your hands."

"Yo, wassup? My name's Travis. I would shake your hand, but I don't wanna get Hepatitis." Travis laughed.

"Yo, can we talk somewhere in private?" The Jacobs boy asked looking at Adaline.

Adaline was about to answer but Maddy cut her off. "No, because we have to fucking pee. Move." The dark haired girl grabbed Adaline's arm and brushed past Nate.

Nate sighed as the door was slammed in his face. He looked at Travis again and scowled not liking the fact that he was talking to Adaline and Maddy. Nate then made his way down the hallway and lent against the wall keeping his eyes locked on the bathroom door.

Inside the bathroom Maddy was nice enough to let Adaline pee first. She leaned against the sink as Adaline did her business. "Shit." Adaline cursed noticing there was no toilet paper.

"What?" Maddy questioned confused looking over at the brunette.

"There's no more toilet paper."

"Fuck." The Perez girl groaned looking around the room. She spotted a wash cloth hanging by the bathtub. She then looked back at Adaline who caught on to what she was suggesting.

"Fuck my life." Adaline announced as she took the cloth from Maddy and wiped herself.

It was then Maddy's turn to pee. Thankfully there was another cloth that she could use. Adaline placed the cloth she used in the small garbage can beside the sink and then washed her hands.

"Do you think Nate was in here with someone?" Adaline was scared to here Maddy's answer. She was hoping that her gut was wrong but what else could he have been doing in here.

"How could he have been with anyone? We would have seen them leave."

"But what if they climbed out of the window?" The brunette responded gesturing to the small window above the sink.

Cassie who was hiding in the bathtub was praying that they wouldn't find her. She was trying to be as quiet as possible. Her head was filled with a million different scenarios of what would happen if she was caught.

"Addie I think you're paranoid." Maddy laughed as she finished wiping herself. Unlike Adaline Maddy tossed the dirty cloth into the bathtub. Neither girl knew or cared that it landed directly on Cassie's face. "Besides he would have to be an idiot to cheat on you. He's so in love with you Addie."

"I know. I just have a bad feeling." She sighed. "I'm probably just being dramatic."

"You are. Now let's forget about everything and go dance! It's my goal to make sure you have a good time tonight."

As the girls opened the door they were met with the sight of Travis holding up a blunt. "Wanna smoke?"

Maddy looked at Adaline for permission. The brunette smiled at her friend giving her a small nod. Adaline laughed as Maddy eagerly pulled the boy into the bathroom with her. She wanted Maddy to have fun tonight too. The past year had been rough on both of them.

______________________________I know a lot of people didn't want Nate to cheat but I had to include it.

It's not as bad as the show seeing as they only kissed instead of having sex.
