That night after his meeting with Jules, Nate crawled into bed with Adaline. He was relieved that he had handled one thing. Now all he had to deal with was Maddy. He wasn't worried about her telling people what he did. Nate knew Maddy would never do anything to get him in trouble.

And it was true. When Maddy got home that night, she felt sick to her stomach. Like enough to throw up. It wasn't the violence that scared her. It was the fact that she knew, no matter what he did, she'd still love him.

The Jacobs boy couldn't help but lightly brush his hand over Adaline's stomach. He could almost imagine her in a couple of months with a big bump. For some reason that excited him. Maybe it was because then everyone would know that she belonged to him. She was carrying his child. They were both his.

Nate smiled down at how innocent Adaline looked sleeping in his arms. He never wanted to give it up. This is where they both belonged. Nate fell asleep that night with a smile on his face and the girl he loved in his arms.

Adaline yawned waking up the next morning. She tried to stretch her body but was stopped by a heavy arm curled around her waist. She could tell from the scent and way the person was breathing into her neck that it was Nate.

She thought about getting up but she was too comfortable. She also loved the feeling of Nate's arms wrapped around her. She didn't want to give it up just yet. Adaline laid there for a couple more minutes gently running her hand up and down Nate's arm.

"Morning." Nate said in a deep husky voice. He leaned down to press a light kiss to Adaline's temple. "What are we doing today?"

"I'm going shopping with your mom." She responded getting up from the bed and walking into her bathroom.

Nate could hear Adaline brushing her teeth. He stood up from her bed and walked towards her bathroom just as she turned the shower on. "Can I join?" He asked.

"Nate." Adaline groaned.

"It'll help save water." Nate smirked.

"No. I'm still mad at you." The brunette stated pushing him out of the bathroom. "You can shower with me when you make up for the last few days."

"I'm pretty sure I can make it up to you in there just as good as I can make it up to you out here." He said with a mischievous look on his face. Adaline simply rolled her eyes slamming the bathroom door shut. Nate let out a small chuckle before heading to his own room.

Marsha and Adaline spent the day at the mall shopping and chatting. They bought some new clothes and makeup. Marsha even took Adaline to look at baby stuff. Both women were very excited about the new addition coming.

"What do you want to have? I'm sure Nate will want a boy if he's anything like his father." Marsha laughed looking through some blue onesies.

Adaline smiled awkwardly at the Jacobs' woman. She didn't like the idea of Nate being like Cal. Deep down Adaline knew the two were quite similar. That thought alone made her sick to her stomach.

"I'd be happy with whatever. Although I would love to have a little girl to dress up." She replied glancing at all the baby girl clothes. "All of these outfits are adorable."

"A mini Adaline would be amazing. I think Nate would like that too."

"Hey Marsh, do you think you could help me set up my ultrasound appointment?" Adaline asked.

"Of course Addie. I could even go with you if you wanted." Marsha nodded smiling.

"That would be great! Thank you!" The brunette sighed relieved.

Adaline still wasn't sure about Nate's opinion on the whole pregnancy. She didn't know if he'd go to her appointment with her. Adaline definitely didn't want to go alone. She was thankful that Marsha was willing to go with her. She didn't know what she would do without Marsha. The more time the two spent together the closer they bonded. Marsha was starting to feel like an actual mother to the Kingston girl.

Sunday was a lazy day. Adaline spent the day in bed binge watching The Vampire Diaries. She somehow even convinced Nate to watch a couple episodes with her. All in all Adaline's weekend was good. She was looking forward to her doctor's appointment on Wednesday.

Adaline felt like nothing could ruin her good mood. But of course with her luck something always happens. She certainly wasn't prepared for the amount of shit that was about to go down at school on Monday.

The brunette dug through her closet trying to find something to wear to school. After a lot of deliberation she finally decided on a pair of jeans and a simple white tank top. Adaline then decided to throw on a cute cropped beige sweater since it was getting a little cooler outside. She clipped her hair back not in the mood to do anything crazy with it.

Adaline was getting a ride with Cassie today because Nate had to go earlier for some stupid football thing. She heard the Howard girl outside repeatedly beeping the horn. Adaline groaned collecting her phone and backpack before exiting the house.

"Finally!!" Cassie cheered out the car window. Adaline rolled her eyes at the blonde but was shocked by the presence of another person in the passenger seat. Kat and Adaline hadn't talked since last school year. The brunette tried to reach out to Kat but she never replied. She sighed knowing the car ride was about to be very awkward.

"Hey." Adaline greeted getting in the back.

"Girl what took you so long?" Cassie questioned.

"I wasn't that long." She stated but Cassie just gave her a look. "Uh fine! I couldn't decide what to wear. I just felt like everything in my closet sucked and looked terrible on me."

"Oh I hate when that happens." The blonde laughed.

"That's like everyday for me." Kat spoke up.

Adaline was surprised she was actually talking to her but decided not to make a big deal out of it. "So how was your guy's weekends? Did you have fun at the carnival?"

"No." They both replied at the same time.

"So it wasn't just me that had a sucky time? Good that's nice to know." Adaline laughed

"What happened to you?" Kat asked.

"Maddy went crazy and like knocked Nate's dad's chili over." Both the blonde and short haired girl were looking back at Adaline. "Oh and she also called his mom the c-word and said that I was just an 'orphan whore'. So yeah overall my night was interesting."

"Seriously?" The short haired girl questioned shocked.

"Yep." Adaline replied popping the p. "So anyway why were your nights shitty?"

"You already know about the thing with McKay." Cassie began rolling her eyes.

"What thing with McKay?"

"He basically told Nate and his dad that we weren't together." Cassie told Kat. "Then like obviously I was really upset. Maddy found me and asked if I wanted to do molly. Which was definitely not a good decision. I totally embarrassed myself in front of a bunch of people while on the carousel."

"McKay's an idiot." Adaline sighed.

"I think I love him." Cassie mumbled.

"Already?" Kat asked.

Cassie nodded staring straight ahead at the road. "What happened to you Kat?"

"Oh um I met this guy. I thought he was like really sweet but I think he has a girlfriend or something. I saw him talking to some blonde girl."

"Did you ask him about it?" The brunette questioned.

"No." Kat shook her head.

"Well I think you should ask him about it." Cassie said pulling into the school parking lot.

"I second that." Adaline agreed getting out of the backseat.

"Hey Addie can we talk?" The short haired girl asked. Adaline nodded telling Cassie she'd meet her inside. "I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry for being such a shitty friend. I guess I kind of just ignored you because that's what Maddy was doing."

"It's fine Kat. I'm trying to let stuff go and move on."

"I really miss hanging with you." Kat said.

"Me too." Adaline agreed with a smile.

"So friends again?"

"Friends again." She nodded with a smile turning to walk away. "Oh and I'm loving your new style. You look hot."

"Thanks." Kat blushed as she watched Adaline disappear into the school building.

It was first period. Probably, Adaline's least favorite class for two reasons. First of all the class was Intro to Calc. Adaline hated math with a burning passion so therefore she hated the class. Secondly Maddy was also in this class.

Eyes were on Adaline as soon as she entered the classroom. She tried her best to ignore Maddy's gaze. The Perez girl felt bad for what she had said about Adaline. She knew she shouldn't have taken her anger out on the brunette but she couldn't help it. Maddy was jealous of Adaline and she always would be.

Maddy wanted to talk to Adaline and apologize. She really needed a friend right now and she knew the only one that she could count on was Adaline. Unfortunately, Maddy had fucked up any progress previously made in regards to them becoming friends again.

"Is the air conditioner like, not working?" Maddy asked from the other side of the room.

Adaline momentarily glanced over at the girl. She frowned at Maddy's outfit choice. Not only did she have on a hoodie but she also had a turtleneck under it. It was cooler outside but definitely not cold enough to be wearing that.

"It's broken. You could always take off your hoodie." Mrs. Bates replied.

Maddy scoffed loudly but didn't say anything else after that. Adaline was worried about the dark haired girl. She could tell there was definitely something wrong with her. But she was still angry about what happened at the carnival so she simply decided to push down the uneasy feeling in her stomach and focus on what the teacher was saying.

Halfway through the lesson Adaline glanced over and noticed that Maddy had her head down on the desk. She didn't think anything of it believing that she was just sleeping. It wasn't until Mrs. Bates tried to wake Maddy up that Adaline got worried.

"Maddy? Maddy?" The teacher called attempting to wake the girl. When she got no response she called the nurse. The bell rang signaling that it was time to switch classes.

Everyone began leaving but Adaline who hesitantly lingered by the door. The brunette couldn't decide if she should leave or not. She wanted to make sure that Maddy was okay. She reluctantly left when she saw paramedics coming down the hall towards the classroom.

What the fuck is going on? Adaline asked herself as she made her way to her second period class.

Can we talk about episode 6! It was literally so sad!

I feel so bad for Maddy. And I have no words for Nate and Cassie.

I hope Rue will finally get better but who knows what's going to happen next.
