The Tailed Beast

21:44, 17 August 2025

I turned 13 and was ready for whatever disaster was about to come. I had already sent the scroll to both of them and hoped they would take this one more seriously than the last. I wasn’t sure if Black Zetsu existed in this world, but I wrote down everything that could potentially happen. They needed to be prepared for every situation.

Kushina had stopped practicing fuinjutsu on her own. I mostly helped her with other tasks, though I could sense her nervousness—likely because of the scroll I had sent her about the possible attack during or after her delivery.

Minato, too, was tense. He had tightened security around her more than ever before. All the ANBU guarding Kushina were high-level shinobi. I could sense their chakra.

On another note, I noticed my crush, Okami Taichu. I didn’t know who he really was—I had never met him in the village before. Meanwhile, I kept running into Kakashi and Obito accidentally on many occasions. They often came to Kushina’s home to deliver scrolls or other items while I was with her. Kakashi had tried to talk to me twice, but I glared at him so fiercely that it looked like I might punch him right then and there. He didn’t try again after that.

Mikoto Uchiha often visited Kushina, bringing her nephew Shisui, who was in his last year at the Academy and about three to four years younger than me. She would also bring Itachi and little Sasuke along.

I loved watching Shisui and Itachi interact—their bond and antics were heartwarming. Shisui had a friendly demeanor, while Itachi appeared stoic, as though he carried the weight of the entire world on his young shoulders.

Today, Minato informed me that he and Kushina would be going to a secure location for her delivery. I desperately hoped they wouldn’t choose that cursed cave from the canon—the one where Kushina gave birth and Obito stole the Nine Tails. I had already warned Minato about this in the scroll and urged him to take only trusted people with him. I hoped he trusted my warnings.

For now, I was on vacation, but I needed to stay cautious. Whether Black Zetsu existed or not, anything could go wrong. Jiraiya was also temporarily in the village, and Tsunade had visited Kushina several times. Despite the tension, I clung to the hope that everything would turn out fine.

Today is October 10th. I woke up early, feeling agitated. The air in the village was tense, and a sense of foreboding loomed everywhere. Shinobi were patrolling in larger numbers than usual, and ANBU operatives were stationed visibly in many places.

By evening, as I sat under a tree, a chilling sensation washed over me. The chakra I felt was malevolent and full of anger. My heart sank—it was happening. I sprinted home as fast as I could.

Luckily, my mother, an ex-shinobi, had already sensed the danger. She was gathering my grandmother and some neighbors to take them to the shelter.

“I’ll help the villagers if they need me,” I told her, insisting that as a genin, it was my duty to stay and assist.

She hesitated but nodded. “Be careful, and take care of yourself,” she said hurriedly before leaving with the group.

I made my way toward the Hokage office, where every available shinobi was gathering. The ominous chakra was closing in—it would hit the village in less than a minute.

Minato appeared in front of the office, his voice commanding and firm. “All jonin, come with me to the front lines. Chunin, cover the rear. Genin, assist with evacuating civilians.”

I didn’t mind being tasked with helping civilians—I knew I wasn’t ready to face a bijuu on my own.

As I helped guide people to safety, I suddenly sensed something else—a second malevolent chakra approaching the village from behind the Hokage Mountain. There were no shinobi stationed there, and the shelter was directly under the mountain. My heart raced—my family was there.

Without a second thought, I bolted toward the source of the chakra. As I neared, I saw jonin engaged in combat with what appeared to be a foreign shinobi. He radiated a malicious aura, a small yet deadly fragment of the Nine Tails’ chakra. He moved like a rabid animal, his actions wild and frenzied, as though possessed.

How is this possible? Kushina wasn’t near the village, and the chakra wasn’t at full bijuu level—it was only a fragment. Did someone steal a portion of the Nine Tails’ chakra?

There was no time to dwell on it. A chunin flared his chakra to alert the Hokage about the situation. I knew we needed to contain this threat until someone more powerful arrived.

I had an idea, but it was risky. I had created a scroll designed to seal living chakra-based entities without killing them, though I wouldn’t have minded if this one didn’t survive. I had never tested it, but there wasn’t time to hesitate.

Spotting a jonin who looked like a Nara, I quickly explained my plan. He seemed skeptical at first, but when I mentioned I was Kushina Uzumaki’s apprentice, his expression changed.

“You’re Hiro’s ex-student, right?” he asked. When I nodded, he gave me a small smile. “Alright, I trust you. Let’s do this.”

With his support, I moved toward the rogue shinobi. He was consumed by hatred, his movements erratic. I activated the scroll and sent it flying toward him, channeling my chakra through a wire attached to it. The seal activated immediately, beginning to absorb his chakra.

But he fought back, releasing a burst of energy that sent me flying. I felt my ribs crack, my left arm twist unnaturally, and searing pain shoot through my body. Blood spilled from my mouth as I struggled to breathe.

The Nara quickly reacted, locking the rogue shinobi in place with his Shadow Binding Jutsu. “He’s immobilized!” he shouted.

Pushing through the pain, I forced myself to stand. My body screamed in protest, but I focused all my remaining chakra into the scroll. Slowly, the rogue shinobi’s chakra was absorbed until the seal was complete. I etched the kanji for lock onto the scroll, sealing him away for good.

The Nara caught me as I collapsed, cradling both me and the scroll. My vision blurred, and through the haze, I saw the lifeless bodies of three shinobi who had been guarding the shelter’s entrance.

I was gasping for air when I sensed familiar chakras—Kakashi, Obito, and Genma were rushing toward us.

Kakashi was the first to reach me. “Sen, I’m taking you to the hospital,” he said, his voice tight with concern.

I grabbed his arm weakly. “The scroll...don’t try to open it,” I rasped. “Ask Shishu...or Hokage-sama. Don’t open it without…”

Blood filled my mouth, cutting me off. My vision darkened, and the last thing I felt was Kakashi’s firm grip before everything went black.

Minato’s POV

Kushina and I received the third scroll a month before Naruto's birth. Even without it, I would have taken every precaution, but its contents confirmed my suspicions—someone would try to attack Kushina during her most vulnerable moment.

I left no stone unturned. For Kushina’s protection, I assigned Okami’s squad, my most powerful and trusted ANBU unit. They were the best at security and all-round combat. Okami, the team leader, wielded the Sharingan, while his squadmates Tora, Usagi, and Nezumi excelled in taijutsu, Byakugan techniques, and fuinjutsu. With their combined skills, I felt a small measure of reassurance.

For additional support, I called upon my platoon—Raido, Iwashi, and Genma—and briefed them on the potential threats. I made it clear that they needed to remain vigilant, even if they weren’t officially on duty during this critical time.

To further strengthen our defense, I requested help from Jiraiya-sensei and the Sandaime Hokage. Additionally, I designed a seal that would make it impossible for the Nine Tails to be extracted, even if Kushina was rendered completely defenseless. With all these measures in place, all we could do was wait.

The Night of Naruto’s Birth

The unexpected happened. Just as Naruto’s birth approached, the Three Tails began charging toward the village. This wasn’t mentioned in the scroll, and it caught me completely off guard.

Tsunade, Lady Biwako, and Tsunade’s husband, Kaito Dan who is also the Anbu commander , were already with Kushina to assist with the delivery. I was with them, but when the Three Tails reached the village perimeter, I had no choice but to leave. Dan took charge of the situation at Kushina’s side while Jiraiya-sensei and I intercepted the Three Tails.

Using a pre-prepared sealing scroll, we worked to contain the beast. However, in the midst of this, another malicious chakra flared from behind the Hokage Mountain. It felt eerily similar to the Nine Tails. My heart sank, but I couldn’t abandon the Three Tails mid-seal.

I quickly dispatched Kakashi, Genma, and Obito to investigate and neutralize the threat. Once the Three Tails was sealed, I left Jiraiya-sensei to manage the situation and used the Flying Thunder God Technique to head toward the Hokage Mountain.

When I arrived, I saw Kakashi holding someone small and injured in his arms—it was Sen. She was gravely wounded but conscious enough to speak.

“Kakashi, take her to the hospital immediately,” I ordered.

He left without hesitation, and Genma approached me, handing me a scroll. “Sen said it’s dangerous and should only be opened by you or Kushina-san.”

Recognizing it as one of the experimental sealing scrolls she’d been working on with Kushina, I took it and reinforced it by sealing it within another layer for extra safety.

Genma explained that the entity sealed within the scroll was a rogue shinobi wielding a fragment of the Nine Tails’ chakra. It was an extraordinary feat for Sen to have managed this, especially given her condition. I made a mental note to address this situation once the immediate threat was neutralized.

After ensuring the area was secured, I ordered the remaining shinobi to sweep the village for any enemy infiltrators. Just as I was about to follow up on the situation, the seal on my hand activated—Tsunade was summoning me.

Using the Flying Thunder God, I teleported instantly to Mount Myoboku, where Kushina, Naruto, and the others were safely stationed. The toads provided an extra layer of protection, making it one of the most secure places in the nations.

As soon as I arrived, I heard the cries of my newborn son. My heart soared with bittersweet joy. In an instant, I was by their side, overwhelmed by the sight of Kushina and Naruto.

Tsunade informed me that the Nine Tails had transferred into Naruto during the birth. Though Kushina had suffered severe chakra burns and exhaustion, her life wasn’t in immediate danger. Relief washed over me.

It was a chaotic and harrowing night, but in that moment, holding my son, I allowed myself to feel a fleeting moment of happiness.

It's been three days since the three Tails incident , the village is in upheaval . Kushina is recovering because of uzumaki chakra and naruto is healty too .

Sen is in the hospital recovering . She has No uzumaki Chakra so  it will take some time for her to heal. I was told that she also had suffered chakra burn from being directly punched by the shinobi who was in possession of kyubi chakra . We still don't know from where did he got it and how came that way.

I also had dissolve the old council which had Himura , koharu and Danzo as the members . The were old and still had traditional mindset . After a lot of discussion, new members replaced the old ones .

Now council consists of Jirays sensei,  Sakumo Hatake , and Kato Dan . Danzo and his friends made a scene and we reminded them council is for Hokage's help it can be changed by the hokages orders . New hokage has been appointed and so has the council.

They didn’t look like they will take it easily . I will be cautious of them in the future . Now we are discussing the current village situation . Sakumo asked me I already had planned thoroughly in advanced and he admired this .

I then informed the council of the scrolls we have recieved in the past  year . Everyone was shocked to learn that there is someone who knows the future events  helping the village .we discussed this in more details what would be do if we recieve more scrolls in the future . We also concluded that we will not look for the informant . They might stop sending the scrolls if we actively started Looking for him or her . We will leave it at that.

The village suffered only dozen  of casualties All of them were shinobis . I am grateful that none of the civilians died in the attacks . The shelter was untouched . The guards gave their Lives to protect the civilians from being slaughtered by that shinobi.

The funeral ceremony was attended by majority of the village .

Kushina asked me how sen was doing and i told her the truth that she hasn't awaken yet . She was put in a artificial coma  for now and Tsunade will let us know tomorrow when will they wake her up. If it wasn't for Sen, the shinobi wouldn’t had been contained at the time and he might have attacked the sheltered civilians and that would have led to more casualties .

We were now Waiting for her go wake up.

Sen's POV

I woke up grogily and felt my throught  dry . Someone held my head and gave me a glass to drink the water. I drank the Whole glass and took a look At my helper . That Was an Anbu who helped me just now . He might be on guard duty for me . I didn't know they would have me guarded by an Anbu .

I asked him how many days has passed . He said calmly,  it's been a week since the incident . He told me he sent a Clone to Tsunade Sama and Hokage Sama that I had woken up.

I then laid back and waited for them go arrive.  They both arrived within minutes . Kushina was also with Minato . I was happy to see both of them alive . Things will change totally now that they are alive . Kushina hugged me after Tsunade checked my whole body .

She then Informed Me that things aren't looking good right Now . My chakra network Has suffered a lot with that attack. I was punched with a pure kyubi chakra and that is not to be taken lightly. I asked her if there is any chance I will recover.  Kushina sat by my side and side hugged me .

Tsunade said i had go go to immense physical and chakra therapy to even get close to be healed . Although I had no plans to become a jonin But I didn't want to loose my chakra in any way . I still want go practice fuinjutsu . She left me after giving me her advice .

Now Minato and Kushina were there . When I looked closely , kushina looked weak than before.  She gave birth but she is also an uzumaki and a jinchuriki they healed faster than anyone else. On top of that with the help of medical ninjutsu shinobis heals faster than civilians .

I asked her,"Shishu , you look weaker than before , I thought uzumakis heal faster than other."

Minato and kushina exchanged glances and she smiled half heartedly. She said she had some complications that’s why she is out of her funk.

Minato then told me he is here to thank me for sealing that rogue shinobi with the kyubi chakra . I told him this was my duty as a shinobi and I would do that again if the situation arises. He smiled and told me because of that the council has unanimously voted that you would be promoted to be a chunin. Although,  it will take you many months  to heal and I will be officially given the vest when I will report to him when joining again.

I thanked him and asked them would I still be kushina's student ? Kushina laughed and said I would be her student for the rest of our lives . We are fuinjutsu Buddies now .

I told her doesn't that mean after becoming a chunin they sensei Is no longer a teacher to his genin? Minato then told me this only applies to Genin teams. Kushina and I are teacher and apprentice, which is more special than the Genin teams . If I were with Hiro sensei than our team would have been dissolved.

This law made created by the Naidaime Hokage Kagami Uchiha for the development of Genins to chunins. Fortunately,  i was saved by the apprenticeship.

Kushina said I will be discharged after atleast two weeks . My chakra network have been badly affected and this need regular chakra therapy everyday and I am in no condition to be shifted.

My mother and grandmother have been notified and they will be coming here . Before they go I asked kushina about the baby . She was smiling and joyed , and told me they had a son and he was named Naruto . I congratulated both of them and told them I would visited after I was discharged.

After talking more for a while they both left  . Kushina left me some books to read . Most of them were the ones I collected here and there on missions . They were mostly About geography and local flora and fauna of Iwa, Kusa and Kumo . It was about time I take a look at these boring subjects .

I had a lot of time now.
