Chapter Eleven: Baby I

Since the day that Thor had brought me back to life I've been able to see a little better than before. I see the way he lights up when he sees me and how even at this very moment his mind is completely focused on me. I never knew I could fall so deeply for a man in my life and I can't seem to not be in complete love with him.

At this moment I had convinced Thor to let me throw a little party for the town. It didn't seem like the town was appreciated at this moment and I knew they needed it just as much as I did.

"Esmerelda?" I heard someone say behind me. I turned to see Amanda waiting to talk to me. I really hope she doesn't want to cause trouble.

"Yes." I answer her. She holds her hands up in the air as if to signal a truce.

"Relax, I'm not here to start trouble. It's just I see how you're setting up a festival for the town tonight and you've begged them not to help and I was wondering if I could do something for you." She says. I stare in complete shock. Did she just say what I think she just said?

"Ummm..." Is the only answer I could get myself to say. She giggled a little bit.

"Just wear something pretty tonight ok?" she asks as she backs away with a sneaky smile.

"Ok." I answer a little hesitantly. As she leaves I see the person I've beeen searching high and low for.

"Sif!" I screamed and ran straight at her. I saw shock on her face as her body went rigid with indecision. I didn't even care. I hugged her as soon as I reached her. "I'm so so so so so so so so sorry about what happened between us. I was being a big meany and I didn't mean to be I just got a little defensive. Pleease forgive me!!"

"Girl when were you going to take a breath?" Sif asked. I shrugged and stared at her with my arms wrapped around her.

"Of course I forgive you! You're like my baby sister in so many ways." Sif tells me instantly. I yelled happily and jumped up and down in place. She stares at me a little confused. "What happened to you?"

"I died and came back to life. It happens all the time." I roll my eyes at her and move to the maid I had put in charge of designing the outside of town.

"You may go down and decorate now." I tell her. She nods and leaves. I turn to Sif and with a huff take off towards the new dining hall I'd had made.

"Ok, so for dinner I've added a couple hundred guests. It's no biggy I just wanted to say thank you." I tell her and open the wide doors with a flick of a wrist.

"You're getting really good at that." Sif comments. I smile.

"Thanks. Thor helps majorly." I say as I take in what's going on beneath me. In the new dining hall instead of one long table that could hold maybe sixty people at one time, there was five that could hold 300 people at one time and at the moment it did. The tables were piled high with lamb, steak, chicken, fish, twelve different types of bread, salad, rice, potatoes, and forty five different desserts. I'd had everything especially out for the town people.

"Oh my gods, you did all this?" Sif questioned with way more surpise than she should. I felt really proud of myself at that moment.

"Yeah. I did actually, but I had help from our incredible staff." I told her. She smiled really close to tears. I smile at her and then walk down the steps. She follows stepping step to step with me. People stand and clap or bow as we descend. I think it's for Sif, so I tell her to lead me.

"This isn't for me Esmerelda. There here for you." she answers as I stop. I gasp and slowly walk down until I'm standing next to everyone.

"You are the most amazing woman I have ever met." a old man says from beside me. I turn and give him a huge hug. He gasps in surprise, but envelopes me into a even bigger hug.

"You are too kind." I tell him as I pull away. I look around to see everyone watching us and I smile mostly because I'm scared. I've never had so many people looking at me like this.

"Please, enjoy yourselves. There's plenty of food for everyone." I tell them. They look a little shocked. I turn to Sif for an explanation.

"They're used to the royal family eating first. Which most likely includes you soon, so go ahead." she says. I stare at all the wonderful food I laid out for them, all the hours that went into just this moment, and I didn't want to go first.

"Oh no! I can wait." I tell them. Sif smiles a little, but everyone else looks insulted. What's so freaking bad about me waiting?

"It's tradition." she finally says. That angered me. This was a moment to celebrate the town, not the royal family! For once we shouldn't be served first. And I'm not even apart of the royal family, so it was alright with me!

"Well traditions change. You all go ahead and eat." I tell them. They smile really big and finally eat!

"Aren't you going to eat Esmerelda?" Sif asks. I shake my head.

"No, I'm not into food right now." As a matter of fact my mind is farther away from food than anything else.

"Ok, maybe later then." Sif replies.

"Maybe." I say with a smile.

After dinner everyone went into town to see what I had set up as a surprise.

The middle of town is the largest place to hold a dance with music flowing nonstop until the morning. The ground is made of straight cobblestone that was roughened to make it smoother and easier to dance on. It forms a sort of half circle and half square between five local shops. It had ten different lamp posts as well.

Tonight I'd asked Betty to make a stream of pink, blue, yellow, red, and green lanterns lead the way from the castle to the middle of town. I thought she'd done a perfect job! As we walked i saw the lanterns lined and spaced out perfectly so the only lights you could see were from the lanterns. I heard the gasps of pleasure coming from the people around me and smiled. It made me happy to see people react to something I do for them and expect nothing from in return.

After twenty minutes of walking we came into town which held my biggest surprise. I heard everyone gasp, sigh, scream in happiness, and look around in wonder.

The ten lamp posts had ribbons of purple, white, and grey wrapped delicately around them ending in big pretty bows. The lamp posts were softly muted so that you could see, but it wasn't overly bright. I had asked them to make a big stage for anyone to perform on. They had gone beyond what I expected. They'd put up wood floors and a sort of wall concave that would project the voice out louder so everyone can hear. Even the wall concave had a lavender silk wrapped around it. It blew my breath away and no one had even started to play music. I smiled to myself as Amanda took the stage. Eveyone cried out in happiness and shut up when she held her hand out.

"A very talented man wrote this song for the woman he loves most than anyone in the world and I have been given the chance to sing it for all you lovely folks tonight. I really hope you enjoy it." Amanda says honestly and then the beat starts. The funny thing is the instruments and the music quality reminds me of the music I listen to on Earth. It's just got that sound to it. And then I feel arms go around my waist. I turn to see the most beautiful man in the world.

"You are the most amazing woman I have ever met." Thor says lovingly.

"Aww you're so sweet." I say back. He chuckles and begins to just do a sort of swaying to the music. I don't really mind it.

"This is a beautiful song. The person who created it must be a lucky man." Thor says and then comes up closer to me and sing.

"Baby I'm so done for you

Baby I've been feelin' you

Before I even knew what feelings were about.." It wasn't girly the way he sang it and it made my heart feel like it was going to burst right out of my chest.

"You wrote this?" I asked.

"Yeah... I don't do this usually." He says kind of surprised about his admision.

"It's beautiful!' I squeal and kiss him lightly on the lips. His face brightens immediately.

"You like that?"

"I love it!" I asnwer honestly.

"Good theres more where that came from."
