Boxer
16:53, 9 September 2018Like I don't even know where the hell this idea came from. Btw if you're wondering, the title isn't boxer as in boxer pants...
That's just implying a whole load of other stuff...
ANYWAAAAAY...
Boxer as in boxer. Fighting boxing. Muhammad Ali the famous boxer. The Greatest. Anthony Joshua. AJ. Why am I even doing this???
So basically my bros were watching this boxing match the other day and the guy who won was like barely standing and looked like crap. And then I saw his muscles and thought 'Imagine if that was Rhysand.' Yes, that's the first thought that came to mind. ;)
So yeah. I don't know if this is set in a modern AU or just normal. As in books normal. Because I mean they can do boxing in The Night Court, right? Who says they can't?
And they shouldn't be allowed to use magic.
OMAGOD YES!!
Ok, well, this is it I guess:
(Feyre P.O.V.):
His name was finally called.
"And his opponent, most powerful High Lord in Prythian, Heavyweight champion weighing a whopping 115kg, High Lord of The Night Court, RHYSAAAAAAAND!!!" boomed the ring announcer.
I jumped up and down, cheering and whistling like the rest of the crowd as Rhysand made his entrance.
Mor nudged me from where she was standing beside me. "Now's the time for him to prove his amazing boxing abilities. If he doesn't win this, he's going to undergo centuries of teasing. Heavyweight champion," she snorted. "He's never boxed in all his life."
"Oh shush," I said jokingly. Mor just grinned.
You do not want to know who Rhys had chosen for his 'motivation' team. Cassian and Azriel.
I actually burst out laughing when Cassian told me. He would be so useless. No offence.
Rhys made the walk, occasionally stopping to make ridiculous poses which made my stomach ache because I laughed so hard.
When Rhys ducked under the rope and into the ring, he looked right at me. And winked. Bastard.
But he was another thing when he slipped his robe off.
My mouth went dry at the sight of his muscular body. Even after all this time.
I felt Rhys creep through my shields. Liking it, Feyre Darling? he purred.
I scowled. No. It's ugly.
He just raised his brows at me before turning to face his opponent.
His opponent was very built.
Looks like Rhys would actually have to try.
***
Eighth round. Exactly what I meant.
Rhys wasn't even trying and then he started this thing where he'd gossip with the other guy. Probably to put him off. But his opponent was clever.
Rhys did the same thing each round. Dodge all of his opponent's punches and then land a big one right at the end so he'd win that round.
Even I knew his technique was so obviously stupid.
And now here he was being beaten up, having been taken by surprise.
What the hell was he doing?!!
I'd totally had it.
Over the noise, I had to scream.
"YOU'RE A GODDAMN ILLYRIAN WARRIOR, RHYS! SO FREAKIN PROVE IT TO THE WORLD!!!"
His eyes met mine for a split second before he twisted out from under his captor's grasp and landed a bone-crushing punch.
Mor and I let out gasps in unison, and then broke into cheers.
But Rhys wasn't done.
He started pounding his fists into his opponent. Again and again. And again.
But Rhys wasn't stopping. And the audience was becoming unsure now.
The ringmaster seemed to know that Rhys needed to stop, too. He stepped in, trying to pull them apart, but it was no use. Rhys was obviously stronger than him and kept pounding.
I had to stop him. I mean, of course I wanted Rhys to win, but I didn't want him to kill someone either.
Mor jabbed me in the ribs. "Stop him," she hissed.
"Where the hell are Cassian and Azriel?" I said through gritted teeth, standing on my tiptoes to try and see them over the many heads and waving arms.
"I thought they were meant to be his freaking support team," I muttered.
I gave up trying.
Are you going to kill him?
A simple, honest question.
No, but I'm going to beat this bastard enough that he knows never to mess with his High Lord ever again.
And with that, Rhys snapped his fingers. His opponent transformed, revealing... Cassian.
He was grinning wildly, even though Rhys had battered him.
"Bastard," Rhys spat at Cassian.
Cassian winked. "Had no idea, did you?"
And that was that.

Hours after the fight, Rhys lay in bed while I tended to his cuts.
He was still pissed about Cassian.
When I had finished, I ordered Rhys to rest.
"I don't want to-" he protested.
I shushed him and closed his eyelids.
Cassian was such a prick.

Wow, that felt so good.
I have not uploaded in FOREVER. I know!
Sorry, I've been a bit busy.
And now another whole year of school... Year 10 sucks.
Hope you enjoy reading this random thing.
