Drunk Rhys

22:32, 16 February 2018

This part is gonna be where Rhys gets drunk. I've seen loads of other people do a bit on this but I swear I won't copy. Not that I know of, anyway. I'll try make it as funny as possible. Enjoy! 😜

(Feyre P.O.V.)

We had all planned to go to Rita's this night. The others were all jolly and chattering about how they were going to get drunk, but I had vowed not to touch any wine. Especially not faerie wine. Not after what had happened at the Spring Court the first time I got drunk on faerie wine.

I would have liked to tag along with Mor but she'd be on the floor, dancing and singing her heart out. And there was definitely no way I was going near Rhys, Cassian or Azriel. Who knew what those three were like drunk?

And there was no making Nesta and Elain go. They wouldn't budge. Amren, as usual, stuck her nose up at the idea and stuck to her manky apartment.

So I found myself that night sitting on the side just watching my friends go crazy.

I did dance. With all of them, actually. And I enjoyed myself so much that I didn't even feel tempted to have a drink.

Before they had gone to get drinks, I had handed Rhys one myself. "I'll start you off," I said.

He just lent in to kiss my cheek before strolling off with a wink at me.

"Don't come back to me as a drunken bastard!" I had shouted at him.

And here he was, a drunken bastard. "Feyre," he slurred, his breath reeking of alcohol, "Did you see Cass there? He looks so funny. Why is he wearing those things on his legs?"

Rhys got really annoyed when I didn't answer him and just stared at him pointedly, hands on hips. So he looked over his shoulder to Cassian and shouted, "Oi! You there! Guy with funny things sticking out of your back."

Cassian looked over in surprise. At least he didn't drink as much as Rhys. He was still sane. At least, I hoped he was.

Rhys stumbled over to Cassian. "What are these things you're wearing on your legs?"

And then he launched forwards and tried to rip Cassian's pants right off him.

Mor was laughing so hard she fell on the floor, Azriel just giving her alarmed glances. I shook my head and went to Rhys. "Sorry, Cassian," I said.

I shoved Rhys of Cassian and took his hand. "Come on, we're going home."

Rhys looked at me, eyes dazed. "What's home? I don't geddit, Feyre. What's a home?"

"It's not funny," he said when I burst out laughing.

I just gripped him tighter. "Hold tight."

And then I winnowed us back home. I could see it would be an effort to get Rhys to even climb the stairs so I had to winnow us up to our bedroom, Rhys trying to battle the wisps of smoke.

"Ew, you stink. Let's get you a clean top."

I made towards Rhys and tried to pull his top off when he lurched back, his eyes suddenly full of anger. "Hey! I have a mate, a wife. You can't take my shirt off. She won't be happy."

I was honestly crying with laughter by this point. I took a step towards Rhys. "It's ok, Rhys. She told me to get you dressed."

"Really? You know Feyre? I miss Feyre. She's beautiful and kind and funny. Will you tell her that?"

"Oh, I will."

This time when I tried to remove his shirt, he let me. It was an effort, though, to put another on. He wouldn't stop moving and didn't understand why he had to wear clothes. So I tried to explain to him that it was mainly to cover up private parts and when he asked about those, I just shushed him.

I ushered him towards the bed  and got him tucked in. I sat beside him and smoothed back his hair from his forehead.

"Go to sleep, Rhys," I whispered.

"What's that? How do you do it?" The innocent confusion on his face was so funny.

"You just," I closed his lids down, "Close your eyes, and dream."

"Dream? About what?"

"Anything you like."

"Can I dream about you, then?"

I couldn't help from smiling. "If you want."

"I want to tell Feyre how nice you've been to me."

"Tomorrow morning, you can. For now, go to sleep. Please, Rhys."

He only said, "OK," before his breathing began to even out and I knew he had fallen asleep.

I shook my head at him in amusement. "I can't wait to tell you everything you said, tomorrow. You won't believe me."

I laughed before curling into bed beside him.

Haha!! Was that funny? I mean, I don't know how dumb people can get when they're drunk but Rhys was super dumb, wasn't he? Thanks for reading and please comment down below!
