Felix's POV

"Your majesty, your Father wanted to talk to you." personal assistant said

"Okay. I'll be there in a few minutes. I just needed to finish these papers."

"I'll tell him, your majesty." she bowed and left the office

I am now signing the papers I needed to sign so various hospitals will be assigned to do medical program in other provinces. Then we will next plan the orphanage for children, wherein they'll receive every year gifts for Christmas, and their birthdays.

I am also planning to start another project for other things that I needed to focus on. I am just making sure that things are working well before I start another one.

I spent my whole day planning carefully on how things should work. I also researched about Sangmi who kept bothering me since last night. I didn't that she had a boyfriend. I was so sure that I'll end up marrying her instead since I know Chaerin and I can't be together, due to the fact that she is married.

As soon as I finished signing papers, I went to the kitchen where my parents are. They were busy cooking some food and they look so happy with each other.

"You guys are having fun."

"Oh, Felix!" Mom looks shocked to see me but then she laughed and nodded "Your Father here kept volunteering to do some work but he doesn't even know how."

"I know it. I'm just trying to look dumb so you'll teach me." Dad smirked

"Is it time for dinner?"

"Yeah. We needed to talk to you as well." Dad said

"Sure. About what?" I said and sat on one of the chairs

"We should eat first." Mom said

"We can talk while eating." Dad suggested

"Okay. Whatever you want, Dad."

He chuckled.

We all started eating but then I noticed the two of them were whispering to each other. I am pretty sure it's about me.

"Felix, your Mom and I were thinking if you could let us go alone tomorrow to the hospital for a checkup?" Dad asked

"I'll go with you-"

"Felix, we can handle ourselves." Mom said

"You know that our lives are being threatened by someone. I can't just let you two go alone. How about we hire a private doctor? I won't interfere with whatever conversation you are having with the doctor. Just don't leave the house."

"But Felix-" Dad

"Please. It's not just my life who is being threatened. You guys are getting involved. I know I am overreacting, but I can't let them have any chance to take you both away from me."

They both looked at each other.

"Minho and Seungmin are having their vacation here, and they are working at Serenity International Hospital for the meantime. They are the people I trust, if you want, I'll talk to Chaerin."

"Chaerin?" Mom asked

I nodded, "She's working here permanently. Maybe I can talk to the head director, and ask for Chaerin's schedule to visit here from time to time."

"But we are afraid that she will affect you-" Dad

"Chaerin and I talked. We are good friends. There is nothing to worry about. I still have feelings for her but I can set that aside for your safety."

"Felix, I'm really sorry." Dad said and started tearing up

"Dad, there's nothing to be sorry about."

"If it wasn't for me, you and Chaerin would be so happy. I am sure things will work out just fine with you both. If I didn't signed that stupid contract, you are going to be happy. I'm sorry about what happened. I am regretting my actions back then." his voice broke

"I know you are regretting yourself but I am okay now. What happened in the past, stays in the past. You have nothing to worry about. We are good now. We forgot about it. Besides, Hyunjin and Chaerin are both so happy with each other. I also realizes that maybe it wasn't for me, I mean her love."

"I'm really sorry, son." he said

"Just don't do anything stupid again." Mom teased him and patted his head

"So, we're okay now? We have a deal. I will talk to the head director and tell him about my plan. Maybe Seungmin, Minho, and Chaerin can exchange schedules."

"That's much better." Mom said

"Just tell Chaerin I am sorry." Dad

"She already know that you are sorry."

"Felix, isn't it a good thing for you to stay here instead of leaving the palace? I mean compared to us, your life received a lot of threats. You're making sure we are safe, but how about yourself? We don't want to lose you too." Mom

"If I will die, then okay. At least I did everything I can to make everyone happy. I won't regret dying then."

"Felix, don't talk like that." Dad said

My phone suddenly received a message from an unknown number.

"Excuse me." I said and left the kitchen to check it

From: Unknown numberI hope you are having a good night. Things are just starting.

Another threat. I was about to go back to the kitchen when I received another message and it was from the same sender.

From: Unknown numberDo you know who is waiting outside?

The sender sent a picture.

A picture of a woman standing outside.

No way.

Chaerin is there.
