Chaerin's POV

"I had a miscarriage." I confessed.

They both looked at my with their eyes widened and they weren't moving at all. I know it's so wrong to open it up when Hyunjin and I never talked about it anymore. But I just can't help it.

Every time I would remember, I feel like my world is falling apart. I have thought of permanently removing myself from this world and be with our supposedly baby. It wasn't easy at all. It will never be easy. I lost a child. We lost a child. And things became harder for me and Hyunjin.

That's one of the reason why we are falling apart from each other. It's like we lost everything because of that.

"You had what?" Jeongin finally talked

"I had a miscarriage months ago."

"We didn't know. Sorry." Jeongin

I smiled and nodded, "I never intended on telling you guys, but it's just so hard for me. I thought it'll be better if I open up now. Maybe in that way, you guys will be able to understand and protect me from all the questions regarding a child."

"We're sorry." Seungmin said

"Why are you two saying sorry? It's not like you guys wanted that to happen. No one wants that. Maybe it wasn't just for us, not the right time."

"Brave enough. I admire you for that." Jeongin smiled at me

"When Hyunjin heard about it, he was so happy and was planning on having a break from his work. He also wanted me to file a leave because I am one month pregnant, which is really funny. We were so happy and wanted to tell you guys about it but things happened so fast. There was an accident that occurred and patients arrived here, it was my last day at work before I take a leave. I was so stress because of the situation, we don't have much medical workers here. Then the next thing I knew... I was bleeding."

I just can't forget how I got stuck between, saving the patients' lives or leave the hospital for the baby. The side of me that can't watch people dying and begging to save them, suddenly appeared. That's when I knew. I will lose the other.

"What happened after that?" Seungmin

"Hyunjin and I are devastated of what happened. It was crazy. We were so happy and we suddenly lost it. It stressed us both and we ended up focusing on our work, and we barely see each other, eat together, or even talk. We would always argue if ever we had the chance to talk."

"I'm sorry for bringing up the baby topic last night." Jeongin said

"It was fine. You guys didn't know."

"Still, I should've been so careful with my words." Jeongin

"What's your plan now?" Seungmin asked

"I don't know, but ever since Hyunjin just heard about Felix and me meeting accidentally. He changed so much. He went back to his old self."

"Because he doesn't want to lose you." Seungmin

"Dr. Ahn, your husband is waiting outside." the nurse said

"Okay. Thanks!"

"Sorry but I have a question. Did you ask him about the article?" she asked

"No, not yet."

"But I don't think he should answer. I already saw the answer, Dr. Lee went here last time, then Dr. Kim and Architect Yang went here earlier. Who's next?" she giggled

"No one is next. Make a request to the director about Dr. Kim and Dr. Lee. They will be helping here and the medical mission."

She look shocked with what she heard.

"Yes. Think whatever you want."

I laughed at her and left my office. I went outside the hospital and Hyunjin is waiting for me. He had a smile on his face as he waved at me.

I went to him and looked at the car behind him, "You bought another one? You are rich, Hwang Hyunjin."

"We are rich." he said and opened the door for me

We agreed to go home and he will cook for me instead of going to a restaurant and spend much money.

"I forgot to tell you, I will be volunteering in a medical mission again. I need to go, I am not asking for your permission, I just want you to know about it."

"Yeah. Sure. Go on. You always go even if I say no." he chuckled and continued driving

"Seungmin and Jeongin visited me earlier. Seungmin will be helping in the hospital, and will help with the medical mission, as well as Minho."

"Then I'll be rest assured that you are with people I can trust. I don't have to worry much, but still, update me if you can." Hyunjin

"Of course. I always update you even if you don't tell me. You should update me, crazy jerk. You always ignore my calls and texts."

"I was talking to my clients. Never ending complaints. But whatever, I chose this path and I really enjoy it." Hyunjin

"Says by the man who once said that he enjoy medicine as his course but then switched to law management." I laughed at him

Hyunjin rolled his eyes "Oh really? You making fun of me now, huh?"

"That was just funny."

"Whatever you say." he chuckled

Can we be like this always?

"Thank you, Chaerin." Hyunjin

"For?"

"For not giving up." he smiled

"Then don't make me."
