Chaerin's POV

"... The food was good. Actually, you can ask Chaerin." Felix said

I almost choke on what I am eating, and it felt like I froze when he said my name. I know we did nothing wrong but the fact that Hyunjin is here and he doesn't know about me accidentally met Felix that time.

"Why ask her?" Heiran asked

And just like that, I can only depend on Felix's answer to Heiran's question. He has to lie or else Hyunjin and I will fight again. We just talked earlier about us, and our plans about our relationship. We are really good now...

"We met each other yesterday." Felix answered innocently

I glanced at Hyunjin's side and he seems to be faking his smile at them. As soon as he caught my stare, his smile faded away like I was the reason why.

"You two met and no one told us?" Changbin said

"We didn't even know, huh?" Jeongin rolled his eyes

"Yah. We all don't need to update one another if met some of our friends, or one of our friends. Are you all seriously going to be jealous because not all of us were invited?" Minho said which I think made the situation worse

"I don't want to interfere, but, Chaerin is married, and she has no reason to meet Felix." Changbin said

"Right. What kind of husband doesn't mind that his wife is meeting its ex boyfriend?" Jeongin asked

What the fuck? Did he just...

"It was not an intentional meet. We just happened to see each other at the restaurant and just asked each other about life. That's it. I left after that." Felix defended us

"See? You guys are already concluding. They just met each other accidentally, but the two of you were already saying things-" Heiran

"But no one told me about it. I have the right to know though." Hyunjin nicely said which made me feel nervous

We did nothing wrong though, but the fact that Hyunjin sounded like he was so disappointed in me for not telling, made me scared. I just want this dinner to finish, I don't want any awkward conversation to start.

"Chaerin didn't tell you?" Felix asked and he suddenly glanced at me "I thought she did-"

"I was about to tell him but I was too busy with my duty as a doctor. Also, Hyunjin and I barely see each other because of our work. That's understandable."

"Yeah, we barely talk to each other, we barely eat together, and we are starting to lose each other slowly." Hyunjin

And that shocked me. How he just told them, will make them question us about our relationship. He just gave them a clue on what is happening between us.

"Oh! Hyisun is here!" Heiran said as she tried to break the silence

"Hyisun looked like Changbin." Jeongin said and hurriedly carried the baby and it started crying

"Of course, I am the Father." Changbin rolled his eyes

"Still, he is more handsome than you." Minho teased him and wiped Hyisun's cheek

The dinner ended and that conversation wasn't talked about again. We all left as we needed to go to work as well, especially me and Minho. Also, others are arriving tomorrow and some are arriving the day after tomorrow.

Hyunjin was quiet while driving the car. I know he wanted to talk to me but something is probably stopping him.

"I was about to tell you but I thought it will only make our fight worse that day. Also, we were busy, and we just talked about us before we go to that restaurant. I just forgot about it and-"

"It's fine. I trust you." he said

And that made feel even more worried.

"I know it's not fine. Hyunjin, I know it will bother you for days and I don't want that to happen."

He glanced at me and smiled "You won't cheat on me. I know. We love each other. That is why we are scared to let go even though it's hurting us both."

"But I don't want you to overthink, and I don't want you to be mad at us just because we met each other accidentally."

"I swear it's fine. I trust you. Besides, you and Felix have so much to talk about. You guys ended everything between you, with so much pain. I really trust you." Hyunjin said and held my hand tight

"Hyunjin... I just don't want that to ruin us. I don't want you to hate me because of that."

"I should be the one apologizing to you. I always doubt you because of Felix, and that was so wrong of me. I always involve Felix in our fights, which made you feel like that right now." Hyunjin

I stayed quiet and started crying.

"And I don't want you and Felix to be awkward with each other as much as possible. Chaerin, trust me. It's really fine." Hyunjin said and smiled at me

"I'm sorry. I am really sorry. I love you so much."

He wiped my tears and kissed my forehead as he caress my cheeks "There is so much we have to talk about. How about you take a day off? And I will take you out on a date?"

I nodded and smiled as I held his hands tight.

He hugged me tight and whispered "I'm sorry that I almost ruin us."
