Chaerin's POV

I fixed myself after the long time of crying my heart out. This is enough. I need to leave. I can't stay here anymore. The more I stay here, the more it will hurt the both of us.

I fixed the things inside the room. I don't want to leave a mess when I leave this place. I stood up and was about to carry my bags when I heard a knock from my door.

I opened the door and saw the King I bowed "Your highness"

"Ahn Chaerin, can we talk?" King asked

I nodded "Yes, your highness" I opened the door widely and watched him enter "What is it about, your highness?"

He took a deep breath "I know this is too much because you want to leave as soon as possible. I want you to work for the last time. Some important people will arrive here. You need to meet them, especially one of them"

"Your highness-"

"I know it was wrong of me to ask you this kind of favor but work for the last time. I promise Felix won't bother you. They will arrive in five minutes" King said

I nodded "Yes, your highness"

He left my room.

I looked at myself in the mirror. You will be fine, you will just have to endure this day and will go home like what you wanted. You won't be disturbed by Felix after all of this. I fixed my hair and put a light makeup. I also fixed what I am wearing and went out.

Everyone looks so busy and none of them are taking their jobs easily. It feels like someone really important and a higher class will arrive tonight. I saw Heiran and Kyungmi also moving busily like they can't be bothered by anyone right now.

"Ahn Chaerin" King's assistant called who is standing in front of the main door with the King

I quickly went to them and bowed "Are they-"

"A personal assistant should go to her boss" a voice said behind me, he walked beside me and stood "Am I right, Ahn Chaerin?"

I bowed "I apologize, your highness"

"A-Are you seriously going to stay here and meet those people?" Prince Felix asked

I nodded "Yes, your highness. The King asked me to"

I saw how his hands turned into a fist as he heard those words. I know he is disappointed that he is not the reason why am I still here. Can I say it? I also chose to stay here to watch you the whole time...

For the last time as your personal assistant...

"They are here" King's assistant said

A car parked in front of the main door and a family of four came out of the car. I saw the couple, a lady who is in the same age as me and...

They all bowed to the King and Prince who is standing beside us with a smile on their faces. As I looked at the guy, he took a glance of me and looked away.

How come he is here? Moon Sungho...

"These are my children, Moon Sungho and Moon Sangmi" the man said who is in mid 40s

"This is my son, Prince Felix" the King introduced and smiled to them "This is my assistant, and the Prince Felix's assistant, Ahn Chaerin"

We both bowed to them.

"The dinner is ready, your highness" Kyungmi said

"Shall we?" the King said

They all went to the kitchen, while the King's assistant and I stayed behind them-

"Chaerin" Sungho called as I realized he was still here "Let me explain everything when you get back-"

"It's fine. It's not like keeping your privacy is a sin. I understand"

He looked at my eyes "Why do you look hurt? Did he-"

"He didn't. Just go"

Sungho sighed and followed them as well. Both me and the King's assistant went to the kitchen. We stood on the side with the maids to watch them. But why the hell am I standing where Felix is facing?

"So, introduce yourselves to each other" King said

"I agree. The two who are getting married should introduce themselves" Sungho's Dad

"I am Moon Sangmi, the heiress" Sangmi said

So, she is the girl that Felix will marry soon? I see. She looks nice and elegant. I bet she is a perfect girl like how perfect Felix is. She probably aced every exam, a rich one, kind, respectful, smart, talented and an elegant one.

A perfect example of a girl who deserves Felix...

I wish I was her. I wish I was the one who is eating with you and talking about the future weddings with. But I know I am lucky that Felix loves me. She is not lucky as I am. She never heard Felix's promises and plans first. She doesn't know anything about Felix more than I do.

"I am Prince Felix Lee and I have a girlfriend. She is right there, Ahn Chaerin" Felix said referring to me and that made everyone look at me

I bowed "I apologize for Prince Felix's jokes. I am his personal assistant, Ahn Chaerin and I am engaged to Hwang Hyunjin"

"Right. You are angaged to my friend" Felix said as he look at my eyes

Fuck it. Stop doing this.

The more you look at me the more I want to regret everything what I did and tell you that I love you.

But no... I am not gonna do that.

Sangmi looks nice and I know she will take care of you...
