Heiran's POV

(Next Day)

"Are you really going to leave?"

She nodded "Hmm. I have to. It will be hard for the both of us if I will stay here"

I am currently in her room. She is packing her clothes and things. She said she will be resigning today and will go back to the Love Orphanage as soon possible. I know it's hard for them but I think they also need to talk at least. 

Last night, after what happened, we all decided to go home. Minho, Changbin and Seungmin went back to the rest house and said that Felix already left riding a cab. We all went home. We let Chaerin sit at the back row and we can hear her sobs. She is trying to stop her tears and kept controlling herself from making a sound. We didn't talked to her since she needs more time to think alone. We told Minho, Changbin and Minho about the reason of what happened. I know it's hard for Chaerin since she doesn't want to leave Felix and she loves him so much. They both love each other more than they love themselves. I think love also requires sacrificing for one another. I know Chaerin did that for Felix and she is willing to let him go for his own good. It may hurt for Felix for now but I know one day he will move on from Chaerin because of the anger he has in his heart. But Chaerin will suffer even more, the guilt, sadness and disappointment in herself. Those will stay with her as long as possible.

Also, Hyunjin is going to be hurt. He clearly knows that Chaerin and Felix loves each other. He knows that he doesn't have a single chance to be love back by Chaerin but still he helped her. I can't say that Hyunjin volunteered for himself, he will be hurt and he knows it. He also risk is friendship with Felix. I can say that he volunteered to help them both get out of the situation.

"Can you go with me? I want to give my resignation letter to the King personally" Chaerin said as she wore her coat

I nodded "Sure"

We both left her room and went upstairs, to the King's office. The Queen isn't here, she went to the Doctor for a checkup, also she will be doing an interview about what happened after she recovered. She is always going out to take some walk and do what she wanted to do.

I knocked on the door "Ahn Chaerin wants to give you something, your highness"

"Come in" King said

We both entered the office and bowed to the King. How come he can act like he did nothing? He is obviously the reason why Chaerin and Felix are both suffering now.

Chaerin gave him the letter "That's my resignation letter. I just thought I needed to give you that personally. I will go back to the Love Orphanage today to avoid any fight with your son, your highness"

The King nodded slowly and sighed "I apologize for what happened. I also want to thank you for helping me with this one"

Chaerin bowed and smiled "I didn't help you, your highness. I did it for Felix. Just promise me he will be in good hands and will be fine"

I can't believe I am hearing this and can't even do anything for them. Why does the King needs to make them sacrifice? This is crazy. The three of us became quiet, I don't know why but the room  became quiet as we felt the heavy atmosphere. It's probably what Chaerin is feeling. She is hurt and sad. That makes the atmosphere change suddenly.

The door opened and Felix entered. He didn't bowed or anything, he took the resignation letter from his Father's hand and ripped it.

Did he heard everything?

"Lee Felix!" King shouted

Felix chuckled "Father, do you even know what happened? She is in a relationship with Hyunjin and they are engaged. I love her and I know it will hurt me but please..." he kneeled in front of his Father and looked down "Don't let her leave. I-I can't lose her again. Father, please"

Chaerin stayed quiet beside me and looked away. I know she is trying her best not to look at Felix because she knows it'll hurt her.

"Felix, she wanted to leave" King said

Felix shook his head "She just wants to stay away from me. Father, please"

"Felix-" King

Felix stood up and walked towards Chaerin with teary eyes "I know you love me. I know you will choose me this time. So, please. Tell me you love me and I will forgive you. I will forget what happened last night and we will start again. I'm begging you"

Chaerin bowed deep "I apologize, your highness. What happened last night was already decided. I won't regret what I did and what I said. I once again apologizing for my actions" she bowed again and walked away from us

I glanced at the Prince and he started crying. Damn. This is so painful.

I bowed to them "I will leave now, your highness" I quickly left the office and ran downstairs to follow Chaerin

I entered her room and saw her crying. She is covered with blanket and I can hear her small sobs. I know she is trying her best to not to be heard by anyone.

How can she hurt herself for someone's sake?
