Metamorphosis

Aries's POV

It's been a week, still she's not ready to accept, why do her life is so unfair and it's even affecting her mental state, I should talk to Kuya Angelo about this all. I shouldn't have let them come this much close. I've lost my friend but Jay, she was crazily in love with Keifer. And that man too, that play boy, rude and grumpy man was too obvious, that he fell that hard which made inevitable for her to forget you. 

I know my eyes were moist, they want to shed tears as well, my best friend is no more with me, how can he leave all of us like this, how? This pain is too much to handle but on the other side I've to look after of Jay as well, she need me. She's so strong to deal with all the issues as before but this time she's broken and I've to be her emotional support.

Kuya Angelo came into my room, he's so serious probably because of Jay only, "this was the third time in the week, Aries, before it's because of blood but now it's not specific, her condition is getting worse". I nods, "she needs care". He agreed, "and I think we should consult with psychiatrist as well, professional help is important".

Psychiatrist? I guess he's right, maybe counselling and therapies can cure her, "it's on you Kuya, you're her guardian, I'm with you". He got up and pats on my shoulder, "everything will get better soon". I wish the same, it's almost time to sleep, I wanted to check on Jay once, is she's asleep. As I saw, she's hugging a pillow and sleeping.

I saw some pages on her table, "maybe there's something left in this story yet", is she still believing that he's alive and can return. I don't know how but she's to move on, she can't destroy herself like this. I covered her in the blanket properly, and caressed her hairs, "I feel so helpless, maybe only time can heal your wounds"

Jay's POV

Touchdown in London, let's hope I'll be able to find you Keifer, it's said that a hope can turn the world upside down and this is what guiding me and making me strong. Kuya Angelo was too much familiar with everything, of course he'd good bond with Watsons, soon we reach at his mansion, it's really a huge house I mean like a palace.

Two workers received us, and my foot trembled I never thought I'll come to his house without him, even for mourn for him, life is really unpredictable. Aries and Kuya started meeting his family members, all were showing so much concern for Keifer like I don't know what you all have done to him.

I heard a familiar voice, "Ate Jay", it's Keiran, he's really looking too thin and his face was pale like he'd been starving himself, he hugged me directly, that little poor kid, I caressed his hairs, "how're you Keiran?", he's weeping into my arms, "where were you? you know they're saying Kuya Keifer has left us alone. Is this true?".

I feel so sorry for him, a kid didn't get love from his mother, and had a abusive father and now the brother who was taking care of him also not there for him, I wiped off his tears, "he'll come back", and I saw a smile on his face, "really?". I nod, "yes I'll bring back your Kuya". And someone pulled Keiran, "stop giving fake hopes to him", it's Keigan.

Keiran gets off his grip and held my hides behind me, "no, if she's saying than she'll bring him back". Keigan's eyes were red, and I know how he must be feeling, after all he's also lost his brother, but also another thought struck my head, what if he's also involved in conspiracy. I immediately shook my head, it's a dream Jay, they both need your support.

I moved towards Keigan, "I know you're sad, but...", he cut me off, "because of you he's not here", I was shocked with his such reaction, "he left for Philippines for you, if it's not for you he must be in between us". My heart sank after hearing his such harsh words, many a time I shredded this thought out of my mind but again he made me remind after all, Keifer was coming for me only.

A gentleman, I don't know who came and handled Keigan, he's listening to him, a girl came and took Keigan inside, but Keiran was clinging to me all the time. That gentleman introduced himself, "I'm Mr Ryder, Keifer's lawyer, if I'm not wrong, you're Ms Mariano, can we talk?". I nod and handover Keiran to same girl, who introduced herself as Honey, Keifer's secretory.

Mr Ryder explained me about inheritance, Keifer just told me that his grandfather never seen his father as worthy enough so transferred wealth to him, but the case was more complex it's his mother who did that, even it costed her life. I was getting it a bit, but it's clear Aunty Serina did a lot to save Watsons and Keifer. It can't be gone in vain and Mr Rider presented a file. 

I turned the pages, "the fuck? he mentioned me as most trusted person in his documents". Mr Ryder told me more about the situations, "Keigan is by default the new heir but he's 15 and need a guardian, his father might his custody". It can't happen, "it'll destroy everything", he nods, "exactly, so as you're Keifer's most trusted person, will you take the responsibility?".

Did I hear it right? Take the responsibility? Of what? He explained further, "Though Keifer said he want to keep you away from everything, even after marriage he wanted you to take you to some peaceful place but now situations are such that if you agree I can make some papers from his side that he wanted his brother's custody to transferred to you".

It's such a big decision, taking the custody of his brothers, "I need time to think over it", and left the room, I was in a deep thought, I've just turned 18 and my school's final exams are next month, how will I? I was looking for Keifer's room, it's clean and tidy, but dark when I turned on the light, it's all blurry cause I was crying, "I saw it in VC, thought we'll spend our good life here". 

I moved inside, "why God has been this cruel to me?", I touched his belongings, a cute painting was there of a boy holding his mother's hand, it's written "Keifer and mamaa", he must have made it in his childhood. I opened his wardrobe, his smell was still there, I let my tears come out, "I'll find you". 

I found a diary there, "it's his personal diary", I read it, the conditions he gone through it, abusive father then death of his mother in front his own eyes. The way he tried to send me away from himself to protect me. 

"What are you doing here?", it's Keigan again, I calmly replied, "was looking at things". He shuts off the wardrobe, "will it bring back Kuya?". I nodded, "I wish, but trust me, he'll come back". He smirked, "wow! like a miracle", I smiled, "maybe, anything is possible". 

I kept my hand on his shoulder, "why do you hate me?", he looked at me, "I hate everyone, I hate my life, I hate myself", before he says more, I hugged him, "no... you've to stay strong Keigan, for your mother's sacrifices, for your brother, for the justice you've to fight". 

He asked me, "do you also think I'd become the heir, inherit what belongs to my brother", I nod, "is there any other option? Keigan save your family, for your little brother". He held my hand, "please stay with me", his eyes were red and helpless, "someone needs to take my custody, please do this Ate". I was really wrong, he loves his brother too much, thank god I came here, and maybe if I stay that's the only way I can find Keifer as well. 

It's been two days we're staying here, Kuya Angelo talked with Clyde, and some of the elders of family decided to give Clyde the custody, some wanted to give to his father Kaizer Watson, but I reached there with Mr Ryder, "It's Jasper Jean Mariano, who has the real custody of Keigan and Keiran", he said. And explained about it through Most trusted person thing. There was a chaos but all the things were in my favour. 

Kuya Angelo scolded me, Aries pressurized me, "but I'm enrolling myself here for the university and side by side I'll take care of these two". Kuya tightly held my arms, "what about your safety, do you...?. I cut him off, "was I safe in Manila or Quezon, no, suffering is everywhere at least this time I'm choosing it by my own". They surrendered but Aries was determined to stay with me. 

Next month the exams were there, I took Keiran and Keigan with me, then we shifted to London, as I and Aries both got admission in prestigious university of London, and then I started setting up the networks to find Keifer, Rory and Edrix joined me in  the mission. 

Two Years Later

Canberran, Australia

A big house, "Herbert Mansion", with iron wrought gates carved with mixture of traditional and modern art, windows line the stone walls in perfect symmetry. The home of oldest nobles of British Royal Family in Australia, it was like a polished crown against the sky, as sweeping terraces spill over with ivy clad balconies that whisper prosperity.

As someone will move inside, if first time then he/she might lost, but more in the beauty of house, there were multiple room and a big hall for all official works. The surviving generation, Samuel Herbert was talking with his two officials, "the deal with Watsons is crucial, and going there is dangerous". One of his officer said, "but their heir is minor and it's their protocol that another party has to visit them". He nods, "Okay then, our future son in law will go there".

A man, wearing a black suit entered the hall, his leather shoes pressing against the stoned floors diverted everyone's attention, "and here is our future son in law, since the day he's took over the company it's like we've doubled our wealth". That man smiled, "you're embarrassing me Uncle Samuel".

He said, "now it's time to get back to our roots, to London, a deal with Watsons, I want you to handle it", that man's smile fades for a moment, "London? Watsons?", Samuel asked, "any problem", he nods, "nothing". 

London, England

Follow me", a girl in mask, holding a gun in her hand directed two more gunmen, "they're here", she whispered, gradually they started eliminating the people one by one, "hands up", the girl commanded, and two men sitting there startled, "tried robbing Watsons?", she gestured them her men to capture them. "Well, there is no one who can escape from my eyes", those men hissed, "I told you, it's a bad idea to look towards Watsons, they've the best shooter with sharp mind", the girl removed her mask, "well.. true that, don't mess with Watson until they've Jay-Jay with them".

Jay- Jay went back to Watson Mansion, "Ate, this new company, Herbert's Capitals wants to set up a MNC there, they need our collaboration", she took the file, "oh, great, what does our manager said?". He told, "he agreed and as it's associated with royal British family".

She was looking at the proposals, "there's no loss, and business will expand in Australia only". He nods, "yes Ate and as per my analysis, the company has seen a great growth in last year since their heir Princess Diana and her fiance has took over the things". She smiled, "you're working hard, Keigan". He smiles back, "not more than you, I want to take off your burden". 

The manager informed, "they've special request, like they want a proper security from our side specially for their heir and her partner". Jay smirked, "assure them, you've the best shooter Smith". He nods and left. Keiran brings dinner for all three, "Ate, it's meal time". They all sat for the meals, "aside from business you're handling your studies as well, thank you Ate Jay", Keigan said, she ruffled her hairs.

"Not only this, I'm looking for you Keifer as well, I've searched the whole England, even Wales as well, also Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. Almost every European and South Asian have my spies, Rory's company is still working but no evidence, still my heart is not agreeing that you're no more. Maybe the expansion in Oceania can be helpful, the link might connect us to you", Jay thought.
