elizabeth still laid there, staring up at the sky, feeling guilty for his death. she was there when it happened. she could've moved in front of him.

"liz," regulus said.

"reg."

"look at me."

she turns over, and looks over at regulus.

"look, there's, erm, something to tell you," he tells the girl.

"yeah?" she says.

he looks into her eyes, those hazel eyes. he leans in slowly as if to ask if it's okay. the girl also leans in closer to him, and they kiss.

soon, elizabeth pulls away from him. she doesn't say anything, but regulus knows what she's thinking by the way she's looking at him.

her eyes won't leave his, and her face was still very close. elizabeth lays down again, looks up at the sky, and smiles, probably for the first time in almost six months.

regulus gasps in a joking way, "wait - does elizabeth euphemia potter actually like me?"

"she might," she looks at him, still laying down. he lays down next to her, his hand moving closer to hers. she holds onto his.

"well i think regulus arcturus black might like her too."

"you think?"

"i know."

they both lay down, staring up at the sky. elizabeth noticing the stars and their names.

they laid there for hours, up until midnight. the time they usually go back - how they use to run away from filch.

once they get to the entrance hall, they hear what they think is filch's voice.

"only one way to find out out it's him," elizabeth smiles.

she makes a small noise in an area she knew it would echo. she steps back behind the wall once again, and waits for his voice.

"oi! who's there?" filch shouts.

"yes! now c'mon," then girl pulls regulus down the hall, just like old times, just like the first time.

they run down to the slytherin common room - and to his dorm, they slam the door behind them.

they begin to laugh. this is probably the only happiness elizabeth, and regulus have felt in a while.

elizabeth was gone for a while - helping brady's mother, jo. after he had died, elizabeth was responsible for taking his body back.

jo had become like a second mother to the young girl. jo loved her like a daughter. as soon as she found out about her being a death eater, she was there for her, and tried to help her.

jo had brady's half brother after she had been assaulted at a young age. after that experience, she tried to be there for everyone.

regulus felt empty without elizabeth's presence. he was head over heels for her. it was impossible to love anyone else. this girl will forever be the first and only love of his life, he was sure of it.
