[ Chapter 9 ]

Goth saw the girls and untied them.

"Oh, Xahji! Am I glad to see y-"

Goth was cut off when Xahji started running past him. He took her arm and made her stop.

"Where are you going?" Goth asked Xahji. She looked down and said, "to get Snazzy."

"Snazzy? But. . how do you know where he...oh no.." Goth let go of Xahji, his eyes wide.

"Oh no... this is all my fault..I shouldn't have left him to look for you in Adina's room and," Goth paused, "...it's my fault..."

"It's not your fault, Gothy!" Colonna hugged his arm lovingly, "it was all a mistake!"

But Xahji was silent. It was true. It was his fault. What could happen to Snazzy? Xahji thought. She shook her thoughts away and looked up at her brother.

"It's not your fault. We could hopefully try to get out..if Snazzy finds us." Xahji said, hopeful she would find her boyfriend.

"Good idea, let's try to get out."

Snazzy finally found Adina's room after 300 tries. Dang, this house was huge.

Adina's room was green with a beautiful bed. Her room was completely spotless ( unlike mine ).

Snazzy first checked under her bed, then he checked in her closet. He couldn't help but take a look into the drawer to see if Adina was hiding anything there. When he looked into the drawer, his face turned green.

"What are you doing?" Adina asked. Snazzy quickly turned around and stared at her with embarrassment.

"I-I was just um...l-looking for..X-Xahji.." Snazzy stuttered out.

"Looking for her... in my bra drawer?" Adina raised an eyebrow.

"I-I didn't know it was your bra drawer!" Snazzy exclaimed. He didn't want to seem like a pervert, but Adina did say they could check anywhere.

Snazzy looked back to close the drawer, but he found a slip of paper. He took it out the drawer and looked at it.

He stared at it for a while. She looked so.. happy...

Adina tried snatched the photo away, but Snazzy still had it in his hand. He stared at her.

Adina stared back up at Snazzy and then back down at the photo. Only then she realized that the picture he was holding was of her. Her face was flushed with green, and she let go of the paper.

"This is your first day of school? And you had.. glasses?" Snazzy asked.

Adina looked down and nodded, "let me tell you a story..."

"Believe it or not, I used to be a nerd. I was outcasted and alone..

..until one day..

he came to see if I was alright." Adina examined the photo and blinked back tears.

"He? Who is he?" Snazzy raised an eyebrow.

"He was my first best friend.. well.. before I became rich." Adina smiled at the memory, but soon her expression changed.

"Then.. my mom divorced and married a rich man. Ever since then, I was treated differently...

...I left him for them."

Snazzy stayed silent, waiting for her to continue.

Adina took a breath and continued,

"One day, I called him a nerd."

Adina shook her head and tears started flowing from her eyes.

"He fell into a depression... a bad one too.."

Snazzy came over and hugged her. Adina just cried against his chest.

"And... that day.."

Adina paused, remembering the memory carefully. She was trying to choose the right words.

"I killed him. I bullied him, he couldn't take it anymore, and now.. Zurich is dead."

"Zur-"

Before Snazzy was able to say anymore, Colonna, Xahji, and Goth bursted through the door.
