Spycraft
20:57, 25 January 2025"Excuse me?"
"Ahoy?"
*Ding* *Ding* *Ding*
The voice of an impatient girl was in the background of Robins hearing as she listened to the Russian recording over and over again trying to pinpoint what it exactly meant. Robin tried her best to ignore the girl hoping she would just walk away, but after the annoying bell was rung again Robin sighed as she took her headphones off leaning her back against the counter facing Erica
Erica stopped ringing the bell as she put on an agitated smile "I'd like to, Try, the peanut butter chocolate swirl, please."
"No, no more samples today." Robin mocked her smile as she shook her head
"Why not?" Erica asked as her friends looked at Robin weirdly
"Because you're abusing our company policy!" Robin said
"Where's the sailor man?" Erica asked as she tried to look behind Robin
"Sorry, he can't help you. He's busy." Robin said a she turned back to her Russian translation book
"Busy doing what?" Erica yelled
Robin turned her head back around as she picked up her headphones that were rested around her neck. "Spy-craft."

Dylan followed Dustin and Steve around the mall, as the two hid behind plastic plants using binoculars to stare at people.
"Can we ditch the binoculars? I mean we already look weird crouched behind a plant!" Dylan said in a hushed voice
"We need them! We have to find specific details that can help us know who the evil Russians are. What are you seeing Steve?" Dustin asked as Dylan rolled his eyes.
Steve looked around at the people of the mall."I guess I don't totally know what I'm looking for." Steve said
"Evil Russians." Dustin repeated
"Yeah exactly. I don't know what an evil Russian looks like." Steve replied
"Tall, Blonde, not smiling." Dustin said
Dylan slightly chuckled at the comparison, before Dustin turned to look at him
"Taller." Dustin said as he simply just turned back to look at people again.
"Damn." Dylan mumbled his ego bruised
"Also look for earpieces, duffel bags, that sort of thing." Dustin added
"Right duffel bags." Steve said before he turned his binoculars at the second floor seeing the girl that rejected him talking to an old teammate. "Oh you got to be kidding me."
"What?" Dylan's asked trying to follow his gaze
"Anne Jacobi's talking to that meathead Mark Lewinsky." Steve complained
"Dude if you're not gonna focus just give me the binoculars." Dustin said
"Oh, come on! what ever happens to standards I mean Lewinsky never even came off the bench." Steve complained
"You are the worst spy in history, you know that? Give me those." Dustin said as he grabbed the binoculars, as Steve complained once again
"Besides I don't even get why you're looking at girls. You have the perfect one right in front of you." Dustin said
Dylan furrowed his brows as he immediately knew who Dustin was talking about, they seemed better off as friends to him, but if Steve liked Robin he wasn't gonna get in the way
"Seriously if you say Robin-" Steve sighed
"Robin." Dustin said a he shrugged
Steve and Dustin went back in forth with Robin and no's
"Uh No! Robins just not my type.......shes not even in the ballpark of my type" Steve ended their back and forth discussion.
"Uh what's your type again? Not awesome?" Dustin asked
"Nah Nancy was cool. He's just stubborn." Dylan said as Dustin silently agreed
"Thanks" Steve sarcastically said as he hit Dylan's shoulder. "For your information, she's still in school. And she's weird. She's a weirdo. And she's hyper. I don't like that she's hyper." Steve started to list cons "and! She did drama. That's a bad look."
"Hey! I did drama." Dylan exclaimed, as he remembered his 5-7 grade years.
"Yea, like a said, a bad look...." Steve remarked "Plus you worked backstage, that doesn't count."
"Yet, you came to every show." Dylan smiled
Steve rolled his eyes, remembering every voice crack, fallen prop, and costume fail, just to see Dylan come out from backstage in all black after every show, happy.
"Now that you're out of high school, which means you're technically an adult, don't you think it's time you move on from primitive constructs such as popularity?" Dustin educated
"Oh, primitive constructs? That some stupid shit you learned at Camp......no nothing?" Steve replied
"Camp Know where, actually-"
Dylan tuned back to real life to see he was still stupidly behind a plant, he looked around the mall just to maybe give the two the benefit of the doubt, maybe there were actual Russians roaming the mall in broad daylight, Tall, blonde, not smiling.
His eyes gazed every feature of a stranger it landed on, their hair, clothes, just so he could maybe spot someone that was suspicious.
Then Tall—Blonde—Not Smiling
"Guys!"

WHEELER RESIDENCE BASEMENT
"Victory." Mike high fived Lucas, he was so Eager to call El he didn't notice how much of an asshole he was being.
"Okay, fine." Will let go of his stick as it clashed to the ground and tore off his hat throwing it "You guys win." He turned the mystical music off "Congratulations"
"Will I was just messing around." Mike noticed how Will was actually angry, realizing he had gone too far. "Hey let's finish for real.....how much longer is the campaign?"
"Just forget it, Mike." Will sighed as he packed his backpack
"No, you want to keep playing, right?" Mike asked Lucas
"Y-yeah! Totally!" Luca unconvincingly agreed
"We'll just call the girls afterwards." Mike said
"I said forget it, Mike, okay!" Will yelled as he put his bag on "I'm going home."
"Come on, will." Lucas said
"Move!" Will Pushed him out of the way, walking up the basement stairs and to the garage to where is bike was.
Mike had followed Will into the garage as he faced the boy still putting his stuff together to leave. The rain poured next to them as Mike had to raise his voice to speak.
"Come on will, you can't leave it's raining...." Will ignored Mike "it's a cool campaign, really. We're just not in the mood right now-"
"Yea Mike! That's the problem. You guys are never in the mood anymore....you're ruining our party." Will yelled
"That's not true!" Mike disagreed
"Oh yeah? Where's Dustin? Dylan?" Will asked as Mike stayed silent
"See you don't know. And you don't even care, and obviously they don't either and I don't blame them, you're ruining everything, and for what? So you can swap spit with El?" Will was silent, before he took a deep breath. "You said you got into an argument with Dylan.....Mike would have rushed over to him apologizing, he wouldn't have even gotten into a fight with Dylan in the first place! I don't even know who you are anymore."
Mike could feel cold tears tracing his eyes, his breath stuffed up as he was reminded once again of what his friendship with Dylan evolved to. "People grow Will.........me and Dylan's cant just be together 24/7, we both have girlfriends. Things change. We all have changed. I mean what did you expect? We were all just gonna sit in my basement for the rest of our lives and play video games?"
"Yea. I guess I did. I really did." Will somberly stated, before he jumped on his bike and rode away from Mikes house the cold rain above him.
"Will, come on!" Mike yelled after him.
He stood in his garage, more guilt weighing on his shoulders.

HAWKINS STARCOURT MALL
"Guys!" Dylan yelled getting the attention of Steve and Dustin. "Ten o'clock! Sam Goody's"
Dustin looked up ahead with his binoculars "Shit!"
"Give me that!" Steve snatched the binoculars "Duffel bag....."
"Evil Russian." All three of them simultaneously said looking at each other.
Dustin quickly stood up as Steve and Dylan's followed.
________________________________
The three guys stayed hot on his trail not taking their eyes off of him, pushing through people.
"Slow down." Dustin said as Steve was rushing ahead .
"We're losing him." Steve stated as he went faster, in the process causing Dylan to bump into more people
"Watch it dickwad!" A man with a receding hairline at 17 yelled
Dylan gave him a dirty look about to say something when Dustin pulled him away. They continued following the suspicious blondie when he stopped in his tracks
He slowly turned around almost like he had a sixth sense. They all quickly moved to the side hiding, trying to act normal.
Steve faced a glass window his nose pressed against it. Dustin started talking on the phone in a monotone voice
"Hello. I am fine. How are you."
As Dylan just started to feel a fake plant without looking at it.
The man turned back around as the three embarked on their hunt down once again.
They made it to a place that was the size of two shops, they peered behind a pole watching the man walk into a building called Jazzercize.
Dylan thought this was an odd place to work out secret Russian plans until the man opened his duffel bag revealing a Boombox. Dylan hadn't felt stupider
The man then took his sunglasses and jacket off, the women around him cheered as he started to move his hips around, they then started to copy him. Dylan darted his gaze elsewhere not wanting to see this.
He then looked next to him seeing his friend and brother mouth open almost drooling. "Oh come on, you guys are gross! Let's go." Dylan then dragged Dustin and Steve away.

Dylan walked back into Scoops Ahoy, Dustin and Steve trialing behind him.
"Hey Robin! You're not gonna believe who these two idiots thought was a Russian spy." Dylan laughed
"You were the one who pointed him out!" Dustin argued "I was only going based off of your description." Dylan replied, when Robin. Rushed in between them running to the middle of the mall, mumbling to herself and looking around dazed.
The three walked over to the girl who had a smile on her face.
"Robin? what are you doing?" Steve asked
Robin jumped down from the ledge she was standing on
"I cracked it." Robin stated
"Cracked what? Cocaine?" Dylan asked
"No......the code." Robin smiled as they all started to shared her smile
_______________________________
It was pouring rain, so hard that Dylan could barely see anything infront of him, the blue rain jacket he was wearing wasn't helping him either, the wind kept blowing the hood off his head getting his hair soaked.
Dustin, Robin, and Steve were next to him all in the same attire, soaked. They were on top of the roof of STARCOURT mall watching suspicious men pile boxes into a garage, that was guarded by tall men with guns.
"Look for Imperial Panda and Kaufman shoes." Robin stated
The echoing of a whistle was heard"They're with that whistling man.. ten o'clock."
Dylan noticed how this man didn't even look 25, it made him think that maybe not everyone loading these boxes are evil Russian's and some are just doing their jobs without knowing they are transferring bombs, weapons, etc.
"What do you thinks in there?" Steve asked
"Guns, bombs?" Dustin responded
"Chemical weapons." Robin added
"Whatever it is, they're armed to the teeth." Dustin said
Clash of thunder boomed as the flash of lightning felt too close for comfort.
"Great." Steve said as he wiped water away from his eyes
The big doors started to open as more boxes were revealed.
"Hey, what's in there?" Robin asked
"It's just more boxes." Dustin stated
Once again Steve and Dustin started fighting over who gets the binoculars. The two grabbed at them pulling it back and forth
"Quit it! Your gonna-" Dylan was interrupted by the loud sound of the binoculars banging against the metal pole. The Russian guards started to scream in Russian holding their guns up ready to shoot.
"Shit, duck!" Dustin yelled as they all laid on their backs covered by the ledge.
Dylan was breathing heavily at the suspense of almost getting caught, he looked to see the binoculars in Dustin's hands, he quickly snatched it as he kept it with him.
"Off limits, for you and Steve." Dylan scolded the two
As soon as Dylans life felt a little bit normal some more messed up shit had to happen.
