today devon was flying back to new york. unfortunate really, it was just last night the ex-couple have agreed to try again but they still had all day long since her flight was at night.

they were happy, lovesick happy. they weren't a couple again, at least not yet, but the reassurance that they were willing to try was enough to send them both to utter happiness.

it was afternoon already and they still found themselves cuddled up in quinn's bed, devon having gravitated towards it in the middle of the night. quinn was laying on her chest, hugging her maybe a little too tightly but she didn't care.

they had been awake for awhile but they just refused to stand up, they made quiet conversation here and there but were in silence generally, it was comfortable.

"are we ever gonna stand up?" devon quietly asked as she kept rubbing quinn's back softly.

"i'm really comfortable" quinn mumbled, his voice barely audible.

"your head is on my boobs" devon frowned, hardly believing he was comfortable at all.

"i'm comfortable" quinn repeated, only hugging her tighter in response.

"they're non existent" dev chuckled, not understanding his reasoning.

"they're pretty existent to me" he said as he lifted his head up a little bit, just enough so she could see his smirk.

"wow there captain, calm down" she laughed, about to explode for how cute he looked with his bed hair and his sleep filled eyes, devon moving her hand up to brush his hair.

"i don't really wanna stand up" he sighed, not giving a fuck as he resumed his position, feeling as devon's chest moved with laughter.

"i'm kinda hungry though" she mumbled, hoping he would agree.

"just a little longer"

"are my boobs really that comfortable?" she asked, quinn about to respong if his smirk was anything to go by until they got interrupted by a third voice at the entrance of the room.

"what the fuck, ew!"

devon turned to her right where the door was to see jack and luke standing right there, jack had his mouth open in disgust and luke had his hands over his ears with his eyes closed, such drama queens.

"hi guys, what's up?" she grinned, ignoring jack's exclaim.

"what's up with you?" jack retorted, not able to take his disgusted expression off as he softly took luke's arm's down as if to say 'we're good, for now'.

"get out guys, let me sleep" quinn grumbled from dev's chest. he hadn't even moved an inch at his brothers voice, he was too comfortable.

"it's two pm" luke deadpanned.

"i don't think you were sleeping" jack frowned, acting as if he got goosebumps.

"get out!" quinn yelled grumpily, snugging himself closer which made devon laugh loudly, amused by quinn's behavior.

"you're so disgusting quinn" jack jokingly grumbled, pushing luke out of the entrance all the while the two tried to keep their laughs in.

"are guys done being babies?" devon asked as she walked into the living room with quinn following behind her.

"tell that to quinn" luke teased, chuckling slightly at quinn's bored expression.

"i can throw you out, you know?" quinn mumbled, going to the kitchen, literally just following devon like a lost puppy.

"why are you so grumpy?" jack asked, leaning over the back of the couch to look at devon and quinn.

"he didn't want to stand up, that's all" devon smiled, going over to the couch after putting the coffee pot to brew, quinn immediately following behind. luke, who was watching quinn curiously, quirked a brow at seeing him just following dev around, he almost wanted to record them to put the 'walk him like a dog' sound over it.

"dev leaves today, i wanna spend time with her" quinn confessed, trying to stop snapping at his brothes.

"really? i'm gonna miss you dev" luke mumbled, hugging her softly.

"when do you guys leave?" quinn asked, hoping it wasn't today also.

"tomorrow morning" jack said, leaning back on the couch and scrolling through starplus.

"can we just watch movies today?" dev asked hopefully.

"so you guys can cuddle and talk about your boobs? sure" jack snorted, quinn immediately slapping the back of his head.

"shut the fuck up jack" devon said, crossing her arms over her chest indignantly.

"sorry, what do you wanna watch?"

"i gotta go quinn" she mumbled barely audibly since quinn had his grip on her tight and she could barely breathe but she didn't mind.

they were now at the airport after a movie filled day with the three hughes' brothers but finally the dreadful moment had arrived, their departure.

"i don't want you to go" he mumbled, hiding his face on her neck, hunching his back to be able to comfortably do so while devon stood on her tiptoes.

his behavior had changed drastically in these days. when she first arrived he was gentle, leaving lingering touches here and there but since their talk it was obvious he had gotten comfortable, barely able to survive a second without touching her. devon was obviously not complaining, both their love languages being physical touch was beneficial for them.

"quinny, i can't miss my flight"

"i'll buy you another ticket" he said quickly, not even thinking twice about it. he knew he could, i mean, he had the money.

devon laughed, grabbing his face with her hands and lifting it up "i have to go but i'll text you as soon as i board, when i land and when i get home, okay?"

"okay" he mumbled furrowing his brows. he knew he was being dramatic, acting as if it was the end of the world but he was really gonna miss her and deep in the back of his mind he feared that once she got back to nyc she would regret giving him another chance and completely cut things off with him, even if he knew it was highly unlikely.

"don't be sad cause you'll make me cry" she softly laughed, looking deeply into his eyes.

"can i kiss you? he asked quietly, looking at her with such a vulnerability that made her fall in love with him all over again.

"yes, please" she whispered, closing her eyes once she felt his soft lips on hers. it was a gentle kiss, compared to the other, but filled with the same yearning and care. she knew she shouldn't have allow it, they were moving too fast but who knew when she was gonna see him again. his schedule was about to get really busy and she didn't want him to always pay. but she was sure they were gonna make it work, she sure as hell was gonna try.

quinn slowly pulled apart, leaving her to unconsciously chase after him for a second "now go before i regret it and kidnap you" he joked with a sad smile on his face.

"yeah, bye quinny" she smiled, grabbing her suitcase and starting to walk away.

"bye devy, text me as soon as you can!" he yelled, watching as she turned around with a bright smile and yelled 'will do' over her shoulder.

god, she was gonna be the death of him.
