chapter 46

I am really sorry for the long update, on Saturday I had a wedding to go to, for which my mum was making the cake so we had to deliver it to the venue of the celebration, we went at 9 and did not get back until midday, then we had an hour to get ready for the ceremony. We didn't get home until 2am. Yesterday there was a barbecue to celebrate the wedding and we didn't get back until 1am.

Tris' POV

after the graduation ceremony the girls all head back to my place to get ready for prom. (dresses on the right) I straighten my hair and leave it down. I wear eye-liner and mascara, with some gold eye shadow, and deep red lipstick. The others look amazing! "thanks!" they all shout. "ugh, I thought I had managed to stop with the thinking out loud." everyone laughs and carries on with their make up, apart from Lynn who is finished as well. "you look amazing Tris!" "wow! a compliment on looks from Lynn! has Chris brainwashed you?!" she laughs and so does everyone else. "thanks, you look good too" Chris turns to look at me. "She's right Tris! you look stunning!" Mar and Shauna agree. "not as stunning as the rest of you but thanks" they all just shake their heads and give up.

Once everyone is finished we head downstairs to wait for the boys. They said they would be here at 8:45, and it is now 8:40. We wait for a few more minutes and the doorbell rings. I go and open the door to reveal the boys, i step aside to let them in. Last in is Tobias, who is wearing a red tie that matches my dress. My mum makes us pose for pictures, again. Once we have finished the boys all take out a corsage and place it on each of our wrists. I kiss Tobias on the cheek and my mum wants one last photo of the boys posing, putting on the corsages. "really mum?" I ask, exasperated. "Last one, I promise!" she pleads, I sigh and we pose.

Once we finally get out of the house, we realise that the boys got a limo for us. "I love you" I whisper to Tobias as we get in. "I love you too" I kiss him when we sit down, we kiss slowly and passionately until someone clears their throat. I pull away to see everyone looking at us. "you two kissed the entire way here, how is that even possible?" asks Zeke, confused. "our exceptional skill!" I explain in a 'duh' tone. They all just laugh and we climb out of the limo. The prom is being held outside in the courtyard, which is actually better than inside because our school grounds are beautiful. The theme is a night in Paris, and the prom committee have done an amazing job. There are fairy lights draped in the trees, and tables with baguettes in baskets and candles are set up. There is a background of the Eiffel Tower, with a dance floor which looks like the pavement in front of it. Tobias drags me over to the dance floor and Undefeated by Daughtry comes on. It is my second favourite song after Demons. "and in this world of comprimise, I hit every curb, every red light, I'm trying to keep both hands on the wheel" I sing, and then Tobias joins me "and through it all I remain still undefeated, with my back against the ropes, still undefeateed, you can knock me down with body blows but you can not break my hope" we both laugh and sway to the music. After a few more good songs come on, they play Justin Bieber. "that's my queue to go and sit down" I say. We walk over to an empty table and soon the others join us. "I still can't believe that after tonight, we never have to come here again!" says Lynn. "I know, it's going to be so weird, and i have only been coming here for a year." I reply. "thanks by the way, all of you" they look at me weirdly. "for what?" asks Will. "for inviting me into your group, who knows where I would be now if it wasn't for you guys, especially Four." all the firls, apart from Lynn 'aww' and Tobias kisses me. Suddenly Play it Again by Luke Byran comes on. I jump up. "oh my god, this is my song, I've been waiting for it to come on" I start to lauugh. "what!?" they all ask. "I didn't mean to do that, well I did but I didn't purposely mean to do it because of the lyrics" they still look confused. "listen to the chorus" It gets to the chorus and I start to sing. "she jumped up and cut me off, and she was like oh my god, this is my song, I've been listening to the radio all night long, sittin' round waitin' for it to come on" they all laugh and I look at Tobias for the next bit. "she was like come here boy, I wanna dance" i take his hand and drag him towards me. "'fore I said a word she was taking my hand." i spin him around. "spinnin' me around 'til it faded out" I kiss his cheek "and she gave me a kiss, and she said play it again, play it again, play it again, and i said play it again, play it again, play it again." When the song finishes we go back and sit down. "that was hilarious!" says Uriah, I just laugh. "and I swear I didn't say that at the start because of thee lyrics" Chris is in hysterics. "I just loved Four's face when you pulled him to youu" she finally manages to get out. I laugh and sit down, enjoying every moment I have left with my friends.

I absolutely love all of those songs, and I'm sorry to any Beliebers out there.
