The perfect girl- mareux Italics are flashbacks‼️————————————————————"Are you sure she's okay?" Ash asked lilith quietly as they sat beside a passed out Maddy snored away on ash's couch.

Lilith just shrugged a bit, watching Maddy closely with slight concern. Maddy had been stumbling around, almost foaming at the mouth and mumbling incoherent half sentences all night.

"I don't know." The younger girl whispered, gently tugging the blanket up Maddy's body to keep her warm before standing up and walking out.

"Where are you going?" Ash asked, watching Lilith as she tugged on a pair of her Jordan's and one of ash's oversized hoodies.

"Out. He really thinks he can lay a finger on my best friend and not get some sort of backlash?" Lilith scoffed, standing up and grabbing her gun and her phone.

Ash sighed, walking to his girlfriend and gently holding her shoulders to stop her from moving.

"Lilith, no. There's other ways we can sort the kid out, but going there all guns blazing with steam coming out of your ears at midnight is not the answer. Especially when he's Cal Jacobs son." Ash said softly to her, making Lilith relax slightly in his grip before she broadened her shoulders again and attempted to walk past him, just to have him drag her back to the same spot.

"Ash just let me go, I need to sort that kid out he's a fucking asshole!" Lilith whisper shouted, making ash smile and shake his head.

"No- see, you're so much like me, resorting to violence, but no. Just wait it out, and while we wait we'll make the most kickass plan."

Lilith stopped and thought for a few seconds, before sighing and placing her gun back on top of ash's dresser.

"It better be one hell of a fucking plan ash."

Maddy had been asleep for a solid 18 hours, and still wasn't even beginning to stir. That was, of course, before she shot awake panting and almost screaming.

Lilith had instantly sprinted to Maddy from the kitchen, taking the older girl into her embrace and rubbing her back to calm her down.

"You're okay, mads. I'm here, I've got you." Lilith reassured, before pulling away and looking Maddy in her bloodshot eyes.

"He- he fucking choked me lilith!" Maddy cried, tears streaming down her face almost straight away.

"I know- I know and I'm so sorry I didn't get there before he did that. I would've helped you if I did. But it's okay, you're at ashtrays. You're safe now." Lilith whispered, pressing a soft kiss to Maddy's forehead as Maddy started to calm down, not panting or crying as much.

"What even happened after that? Last night?" Maddy asked, making Lilith sigh and sit properly on the couch beside her.

10pm: "Fez! Fez we need your help- fuck- like right now." Lilith called over to fez's pretzel truck as she held Maddy's hand in one and her bag of food in the other.

Fez's head snapped towards the small commotion, instantly rushing to them and helping Lilith with keeping an extremely distraught Maddy upright.

"The fuck happened bruh? You was gone for what- twenty minutes?" Fez mumbled, helping Maddy into the pretzel truck as ashtray stood in the corner looking a bit like a lost chicken.

"Nate- he like- fuck." Lilith panted slightly, a small sob of exhaustion and anger and pain leaving her lips.

"Yo, what the fuck he do to you?" Ash suddenly snapped, striding to Lilith and grabbing her chin up to observe the dark bruise already forming on her cheek.

"That doesn't matter. It's her that needs help, not me. I can help myself." Lilith gestured towards Maddy, who was rocking back and forth on one of the chairs.

They'd all made an effort to close the pretzel truck and help Maddy to fezco's car, Lilith calling Lexi to inform her on the situation as they pulled up to the familiar house.

Getting Maddy into the house wasn't a problem, she was cooperating a lot (to Lilith's surprise) and had stopped crying, but what was new was that she was now mumbling small sentences and incoherent babbles to herself and her former best friend.

"M-m so sorry l-lils." Maddy slurred as she sat on the countertop in the bathroom, Lilith cleaning Maddy's neck slightly to remove any makeup from it and have a proper look at the bruising. It was dark, nasty looking, and a hand print was very obviously there already.

"It's alright mads, you're forgiven. I'm sorry too." Lilith whispered as she threw the makeup wipe in the trash, now leaning against the wall as Maddy stayed sat there.

"No- I was a horribleee friend n I walked out on you. M sorry." That was all Maddy could muster before she slumped forward, almost falling face first off the counter as she half passed out.

"Okkkay- ASH." Lilith yelled slightly, the older boy rushing in straight away and helping Lilith carry Maddy into the living room.

"She's not okay ash. She's broken, and this is going to fucking destroy her. She loves him so much." Lilith whispered, as she stared down at her freshly conked out best friend.

"She'll be alright lils, she's a strong girl. She'll get through it." Ash mumbled, taking his girlfriends hand in his and giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"Who the fuck does that to someone they say they love?" Lilith's voice trembled, tears forming as she bit her lip to stop herself crying. Nate punching her was enough, but seeing him choke someone as emotionally vulnerable as Maddy? That was horrifying.

"I know baby, but it's over now, and she's here. She's okay, she's safe. I promise you, she'll be alright." Ash pressed a gentle kiss to his girlfriends temple before turning her face slightly, observing the darkening bruise on her cheek.

"As for that?" He mumbled, his thumb tracing gently across the bruise. "I'm gonna fucking kill him for that."
