(Drawing of Corrupted (Y/N) by yours truly)

~(Y/N)'s P.O.V.~

Your hands gripped at your face as your body racked violently.

The disturbing feeling of another being fusing with your own disgusted you. But there was nothing you could do about it. She was already almost in full control.

In the dome made from the black ooze, there was complete darkness. Utter darkness and silence, despite the chaos that was happening beyond the dome.

Besides the silence, there were also your ear-deafening yells and screams. Yells and screams which nobody could hear as the black ooze was thick enough to block out any light and sound.

"Are you ready, (Y/N)?" You felt a voice whisper in your ear.

"W-Who's there?" You panicked, turning around toward the source of the voice. But there was no point in doing so since you wouldn't be able to see who was talking.

"Don't worry, you'll find out soon..." The voice disappeared, leaving you all alone with just your thoughts to keep you company. That, and also the black ooze that surrounded you.

Furrowing your brows in confusion, you were hit with a sudden feeling of sickness and had the urge to throw up.

"What the heck?..." You whispered, clutching your stomach.

Falling down to the floor and onto your knees, chills ran up and down your body continuously. You felt... weak.

Collapsing down to the ground, you groaned. More unfamiliar memories came flooding into your mind. And it was then they kept occurring, you were actually convinced they were your own memories.

"Yes, my dear child, accept the transformation..." The same voice from earlier spoke, but this time, you heard it from inside your head.

Unable to do anything, you just closed your eyes and allowed the darkness to take full control over you.

Giving up was your best option, since the dominance of this entity was too strong for you to fight on your own. Soon enough, you and this unknown entity had become one body and mind.

During the process of your transformation, your clothing had changed into a dress. It had long, light lavender sleeves and a sweetheart-like bodice that was a darker shade of purple.

Crystals that represented the elements decorated the sleeves that draped your shoulders. The necklaces you wore around your neck also held the colors of the major elements.

Your hair was loose, and it flowed along with the wind and it mimicked the movement of water. On your face were white markings, each of them representing a corresponding element.

As you laid on the ground with your eyes still closed, a smirk met your face and an evil chuckle left your lips.

Eventually, you stood up. And soon enough, the black ooze dissipated, revealing your newly transformed self.

Upon opening your eyes, you inspected the piles of rubble and debris on the ground. You bent down and grabbed a handful of the debris before standing back up.

"Aw, what a pity..." You grinned sinisterly, messing around with the debris in your palm.

Mirabel's head shot up instantly when she heard the voice. With the candle still in hand, or with what remained of it, she stood up and looked around.

"(Y/N)?" She called out, and turning around, she saw you. But it wasn't you...

"Sorry to disappoint..." You said, turning around to face Mirabel. "...but (Y/N)'s gone."

Mirabel marveled in shock and awe, but took a cautious step back, still very aware of the danger 'you' might bring.

Camilo and some others approached Mirabel from behind, standing next to her. They stared at your magnificent being, who was just standing a few feet away from them.

"(Y/N)?" Camilo whispered in disbelief.

Still grasping at the idea of this figure claiming to not be you, but was you, Mirabel spoke hesitantly. "A-Are you..."

"...Diosa de los Elementos?..." Tía Julieta muttered, walking up to her daughter from behind.

She also stood there next to Mirabel, processing your altered form. There was no way that this was real. What looked like Diosa de los Elementos, this made up fictitious character... was standing right before them.

Tía Julieta shook her head and inhaled sharply, looking up to the sky as she prayed that this was all just a bad dream.

"M-Mi vida, are... are you hurt?" She asked her daughter, directing her focus from the being to Mirabel. She gently placed her hands underneath Mirabel's chin in a soft and comforting manner.

Mirabel didn't respond. She only stared at her mother with millions of thoughts running through her head.

"Mirabel?"

"Julieta, come quick!" Tía Pepa's voice resonated in the distance. "Julieta!"

"Don't move. I'll be right back." Her mother reassured, leaving Mirabel with this horrifyingly corrupted version of (Y/N).

"'Diosa de los Elementos'?" You laughed. "Of course not, you're crazy. That's my mother. It's me, (Y/N)."

Mirabel furrowed her brows, definitely sure that this being in front of her wasn't (Y/N).

"Where is (Y/N)?" Camilo questioned, stepping towards you.

Mirabel placed a hand on his shoulder, reminding him to keep his distance.

Scowling, he yelled, "What did you do to (Y/N)?"

Mirabel then held him back, preventing him from advancing forward.

He grunted, struggling to get out of her hold. "What—What did you do to her? Bring her back!"

Mirabel could sense the hurt in his voice and actions, and it saddened her deeply. "Primo, please, calm down."

Tears threatened to spill from Camilo's eyes as he tried to claw his way out of Mirabel's hold.

"Sorry, no can do, pretty boy." You walked up to Camilo and bent down so you were face to face with him. "(Y/N)'s gone... and it's gonna be like that for a while." You smirked, lightly patting his cheek and backing away.

Stunned by your action, he sat there in Mirabel's arms, staring at you as you backed away. After a while, Tía Julieta came back with a tincture in hand, offering it to Mirabel.

"Ah, isn't it nice?" You sighed, changing the topic. "Having a mother and father who care for you dearly and love you with all their hearts?"

You opened your clenched fist and glanced down at the pieces of debris that laid in your palm. Rage and anger filled your eyes.

"Poor (Y/N) lost hers at a very young age." You gripped your hand tightly, smashing the pieces of debris into tiny particles of dust. "Imagine how she must've felt, losing the people she needed most, only for them to disappear out of her life forever." Emptying your palm, you dusted off your hands.

"I'll be honest," You continued. "I'm surprised how she's lasted this long without ever losing it. She lost her parents, leaving her to spend four years by herself in the wild. She was then taken in by another family whom she had little to no recollection of. Then, she had to spend a year with this wretched and messed up family where she felt as if she had no place there."

Mirabel glared at you with a frown on her face and inhaled deeply. "My family is not 'wretched and messed up'. I'll have you know they are the best people to exist in this world and nothing can or ever will change my mind."

You stared at Mirabel for a few seconds before breaking out into laughter. "That is... hilarious! Such a funny joke." You said in between laughs. "You were always so funny, Mirabel."

"Who said I was joking?" Mirabel retorted, her grip on Camilo and the candle tightening.

"Well, it's just that, that's what seemed to cause this mess in the first place, no?" You pointed out, gesturing to what was once Casita.

The piles of debris and rubbish surrounding them seemed to say everything.

Mirabel said nothing, and she only continued to glare at you. "Who are you, and why are you really here? Where is (Y/N)?"

Running a hand through your hair, you frowned slightly. "Killjoy." A small smirk quickly replaced the frown, and you looked up at Mirabel. "(Y/N) is here. Don't worry. I just possessed her mind and body, that's all." You reassured her.

"If (Y/N)'s still there, then where is she?" Mirabel asked. "And... who exactly are you?"

"Well, being the daughter of the mighty Diosa de los Elementos, it was about time (Y/N) followed in her mother's footsteps." You clasped your hands together. "Why do you care so much about this (Y/N)? What significance did she even have to you?"

Mirabel scoffed at how much ridicularity that question held. "(Y/N) is my best friend. She's always been there for me, no matter what. She accepted me at my worst and she made me feel wanted and like I belonged. Whenever I fell, she would laugh. But she was always there to pick me back up. She's irreplaceable, my other half, and there's no one in the world that can change that."

Loud snores escaped your mouth, and Mirabel stared at you with wide eyes, taken aback.

"Hm?" You opened an eye. "Oh, sorry," You yawned. "I must've fallen asleep. Anyway, what was it you were saying?"

Mirabel only rolled her eyes and furrowed her brows. "Give us back our (Y/N)." She demanded, changing the topic.

"What is it you want?" Mirabel asked, realizing she was still holding back Camilo and she let him go.

"What do I want?" You grinned from ear to ear and turned around, your back now facing the Madrigals.

But as you turned around, an unknown object whizzed by, sending a breeze in your direction.

The clatter of the object caught your attention, but it directed to the painful sting you felt in your arm. A tickling trickle of liquid made its way down your arm and that's when you suddenly realized what it was.

Mirabel's mouth hung agape, and she and the others turned their heads to see who had thrown the spear.

"Get the devil lady!" The villager shouted, pointing a finger at you.

A small chuckle escaped your lips as you stood there. "Ignorant fool..."

The villainous smirk that was on your face was quickly wiped off as you lifted both of your hands. Turning around, there was a new terrifying look on your face. A look that screamed horror and trouble.

The ground below began to rumble and shake, alarming the Madrigals and the villagers.

Screams and yells of fear erupted from the group of villagers, and they all dropped their weapons. Running for their lives, they fled the area to avoid the shaking ground.

Mirabel's face held a look of despair as she glanced at the fleeing group of villagers. Turning her head back, she then looked at you.

"(Y/N), please, stop this!" Mirabel yelled, cupping her hands around her mouth. "This isn't like you!"

"I told you." You said in a dark voice. "(Y/N)'s gone."

Deep down, there was a feeling that laid dormant. A feeling which you had disregarded and thought of as negligible.

It screamed at you from the inside, "(Y/N), don't do this." "(Y/N), please fight it."

But you couldn't. (Y/N) was long gone.
