49 - Eliza

I could not believe Katy had flown in to surprise me for Christmas. Like me she'd never been abroad, we'd always planned to but it just hadn't happened yet. Now we were spending Christmas, my favorite holiday, in London together! It was absolutely perfect.

We were still sitting on the bed in Katy's room, where we'd been since Tom left the room, as Tom sticks his head back in the door.

"Excuse me ladies but we have some guests showing up in a few minutes."

"Who?"

"I just got off the phone with Chris and apparently Elsa has decided to make London the place of the Marvel Family New Year Party and they got here early. Elsa and the kids wanted to bring some baby gifts. They're kind of hoping we will go to the party as well." Tom adds in a hurry.

"There's a Marvel Family New Year Party?" Katy asks, perking up immediately.

She was much more social than I was. Going to a party was right up her alley whereas I'd have much rather stayed at home. It didn't have anything to do with it being a famous people party either, well not entirely anyway; I just didn't particularly like parties of any kind. However this one was different and I knew we should go, if Tom wanted to.

"It will be nice to see everyone again, especially now that we are not at odds. How soon until they get here?"

Knocking on the front door answers my question. Katy looks at me and I laugh, she'd just realized the other half of what Tom had said. Her eyes are huge as she stares at me.

"They're here now? Like now now?"

"Yes Bug." I laugh getting up off the bed.

I walk to Tom, who leans in and kisses me. I take his hand and look back at Katy who hasn't moved an inch.

"Are you coming Bug? I'm sure Elsa is used to women drooling over her husband. You know, I heard Liam is single again. Maybe you could get an introduction." I tease.

Realizing what I'd said she glares at me and sticks her tongue out. Tom and I both laugh as she gets up off the bed and smooths out her clothes before we all walk down the stairs.

"Merry Christmas! Oh my gosh, you're glowing!" Elsa says as soon as the door opens, wrapping me in a tight hug.

"Merry Christmas Elsa." I giggle, hugging her back. "Come on in. Chris it's nice to see you again."

Chris kisses my cheek as he passes, herding three adorable kids inside, and hugs Tom as I close the door. Katy still half shell shocked stands just behind us, still on the bottom step with her mouth slightly open.

"India, Sasha, Tristan you remember your Uncle Tom." Elsa says, pulling away just far enough to loop her arm through my free arm.

"Merry Christmas Uncle Tom." They say together.

"You must be Ms. Eliza, Uncle Tom's girlfriend." The tallest of the three children says, smiling up at me.

"I am. What's your name?" I ask squatting down in front of the kids.

"I'm India. These are my brothers Sasha and Tristan."

"It's a pleasure to meet you all."

"I hope you have girls." India whispers, leaning in close to me.

I wink at her and stand back up, looking back at Katy who is still frozen on the step. To my surprise it wasn't Chris she was looking at but Elsa. I clear my throat and she looks at me.

"Everyone, this is Katy; my best friend and basically my sister."

"It's a pleasure to see you again Katy." Chris says.

"Well any sister of Eliza is a sister of mine." Elsa says looking back at her. "You're coming to the new year's party too?"

"Elsa, they haven't said they're going to go." Chris laughs.

"Of course they are."

"We're going to go." I laugh, "But you may have to help me pick something new out, my old stuff obviously doesn't fit right now."

"We can do that. Sophie could probably make it too and we could make it a girl's day, all four of us. What do you think?"

I liked that she included Katy without even thinking about it. It was basically going to be throwing Katy into the deep end but I knew she could swim. Katy on the other looked like she was already floundering. She was looking at Elsa with such awe it almost made me laugh.

"What do you think Katy?" I ask, nudging her lightly.

"Oh, um yeah sure, that'd be fun. Who's Sophie?"

"Benedict's wife." Elsa says shrugging.

This time I couldn't stop the giggle from bubbling out.

"It will be fine. You'll like her. Got to get your feet wet sometime sis." I lean in and whisper the last part. "What are you guys doing in London for Christmas? I figured you'd be on a beach in Australia laughing at the rest of us cold climate people."

"The kids wanted to see a white Christmas for a change and I don't mind the change. Besides this way I get to see your glowing face in person instead of on the phone. How are you feeling?"

"Come on Tom, let's take the tikes and Bobby so the girls can catch up." Chris says.

Tom looks at me and I wink and node at him. He kisses me briefly before bending down and picking up both of Chris's twins.

"Might as well start practicing."

"You're such a goofball."

"I am but you love me any way."

"That I do, wouldn't have you any other way."

He winks at me and they slip away into the house. I take the girls to the living room and we sprawl out on the couch.

"So, tell me about the books and this deal with Henry Cavill. I thought you weren't going to do the screen adaptations until you finished the whole series." Elsa says.

"I wasn't planning on it but he showed me a brief pilot episode idea and honestly I loved it. I think he'll do them justice and with a tv series instead of movies I have time to get the last three books finished. He'll be here tomorrow to go over the scripts he has."

"Wait...Henry Cavill will be here tomorrow?" Katy asks, eyes wide.

"Yes Bug. You'll like him, he's very nice. I'm pretty sure he's bringing Kal with him too so Bobby will have someone to play with while we eat."

"How is the next book coming?" Elsa asks.

"Should have it done and sent to Shelly before New Year's."
