03:55, 19 October 2024The excitement had died down and now people were shuffling out of the doors. Miguel stood by Jules as they laughed and talked, the boy stared down at the trophy in his hand.
"Miggy!" The teens looked up and to the side seeing Miguel's mom and grandma standing there
Miguel looked back at Jules. "Do you want to join, my mom wouldn't care."
Jules forced a smile and shook her head. "Nah it's okay, you go be with your mom and grandma. I'm okay."
He nodded and then rushed over, pulling his mom into a great big hug. Jules watched for a bit as Miguel celebrated with his family, and then her eyes scanned the arena looking for her mom. She saw the woman standing on the side of Robby, as they walked away. The girl was right, Victoria came but it wasn't for her, but before she could think more about it, Jules felt two arms wrap around her.
"You did amazing out there!" Nicole's voice made the girl smile and as the arms retreated. Jules turned around. Nicole placed her hands on Julie's shoulders. "You totally kicked ass, excuse my French."
Jules just smiled and laughed. "I'm really glad you came Nicole."
Nicole's furrowed her eyebrows and answered as if there wasn't a second choice. "Of course, I had to be there for my niece."
Jules shrugged and said. "You're not even related to me. You don't have to do this-"
Before the girl could get anymore out, Nicole leaned forward and pulled Julie into a hug. Julie wrapped her arms around her aunt.
Nicole shook her head. "I've been friends with your mother for 24 years, and I've been there for you for your entire life. I was granted the role of aunt and that transcends blood."
Jules felt tears well up in her eyes as she dug her head into Nicole's shoulder. The woman just held her closer.
"Thank you for everything Nicole." Jules said muffled and Nicole nodded as she ran her hand over Julie's hair. "Of course, now I think you deserve something for how well you did. How about ice cream?"
Jules pulled from the hug as her eyes went wide. Nicole nodded at the girl's reaction. "Ice cream it is."
They turned and started walking the other way. Jules had forgotten about her rotten luck and about her mother as she looked over at the woman who truly did care about her.

Victoria walked on one side of Robby, she hand her hand on his back as the boy was still holding onto his arm.
"Are you okay Robby?" She asked and the boy nodded. "Yeah I'm okay."
"You did great out there, even if you didn't win." The woman comforted the boy, Robby smiled. "Thank you Ms. Barron."
"Robby!" The three stopped as they heard Johnny behind them
Victoria and Daniel gave each other a look as they turned around. Johnny stopped close to the three and his eyes flickered from his son to Daniel then over to Victoria.
"I....I'm...I'm sorry." Johnny pushed out
Robby nodded. "It's okay, dad. It's okay." He then turned and looked at Daniel and Victoria. "Let's go, Mr. LaRusso"
Victoria nodded and turned around with Robby as Daniel stayed for a second. Victoria talked with Robby as she heard Daniel behind her.
"You got what you wanted, Johnny. You won. Congratulations."
Victoria wrapped her arm around Robby, as she turned around for a second and made eye contact with Johnny. He stared into her eyes for a second, seeing the pity and anger in her eyes before she turned back around. Daniel caught up to the two and they walked out.

Robby sat in the back of the car, and yawned as he looked out the window but his eyebrows furrowed as he looked down at the trophy. Victoria couldn't help but smile at the surprise that Daniel had in mind.
"Second place. I came so close." Robby complained "Yeah, well, you fought with honor and he didn't." Daniel pointed out and Victoria agreed. "So no matter what that trophy says, you're the real winner. You should be proud of yourself. I know we are."
Robby smiled at the two adults. "Thanks. I'm sure my dad's happy too. Now Cobra Kai's gonna take over Karate in the valley."
Victoria and Daniel looked at each other as they both shook their heads. Daniel scoffed, "yeah, right. Over my dead body."
Robby looked out of the window and his eyebrows furrowed. This wasn't the way to LaRusso's house nor was it the way to the Barron's. Robby was confused on where they were going.
"Where are we going?"
Daniel just nodded his head, Victoria smiled as they drove over the train tracks she knew so well. They hopped out of the car and the woman stared at all the cars covered in tarp until she walked over to one. She ran her hands over it and pulled up the tarp as she looked down at red Chevy. The one that Mr. Miyagi had got her, it still looked the same after all these years.
"Whose cars are these?" Robby pointed to them and Daniel shook his head. "Don't worry about it, just follow me."
Victoria walked after Daniel as they walked into the garden of Miyagi's old house. The woman's heart began to race as the old memories flooded in.
"Is this where you bury your bodies or something?"
Victoria laugh at Robby's comments.
"I know I said you have to let go of your anger and show forgiveness, but...when the fight comes to you, you have to be ready to fight back."
Victoria chimed in. "And to do that..." Daniel reached over and turned on the lights. Robby was in awe at the sight of the garden as Victoria crossed her arms. "We'll need more students."
Daniel stretched out his arms into the backyard. "Welcome to Miyagi-Do Karate."

Johnny sat in his office staring at the trophy, his mind raced as the silence surrounded him. The man swirled the glass of liquor that he had poured for himself. Johnny couldn't stop thinking about Robby, Miguel, and Jules. The three kids swirled in his mind like the liquor but he couldn't seem to drown them out. Then finally the memory hit him hard, harder than the alcohol had.
He remembered the feeling of Kreese's arm around his throat and the feeling of tightness. He remembered Miyagi and his two students standing there, he remembered feeling weak as he watched his mentor snap his trophy in half. Johnny was interrupted by the sound of the door opening, he placed his glass down and stood up. The man was confused, he didn't think it was Miguel or Jules but maybe it was one of them coming to celebrate with him.
"Miguel? Jules?" He asked walking out of his office to see a shadowy figure standing close to the door
"Congratulations." The figure spoke and the voice sounded familiar. "You did what I always thought you could do. You won."
The figure paused and Johnny opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out. The man's mouth felt like a desert and like he was in that same situation all those years ago, he couldn't get anything out if he tried.
"Cobra Kai is back where it belongs." The figure stared walking more into the dojo. "Back on top. Everyone closed the book on us. They thought we were done but now they see..."
Finally he stepped into the light and Johnny gasped seeing his old mentor. John Kreese stepped into the light smoking his cigar, he puffed it for a second before pulling it from his mouth.
"That the real story's only just begun."
