Her brain was running on overdrive now, she hadn't gotten a text from Robby for a day. Jules was sure how many times she had texted him asking for him to respond. The girl swiped through her text before finally pushing her phone back into her pocket, she really didn't need any more trouble since the tournament was coming up.

Practices for her and Miguel has been doubled, and between both karate and her relationship, Jules had been running on a couple hours of sleep. She just shook her head and headed down the hall to her class, she met up with Miguel and the two started down the hallway. The two didn't talk as they walked to class, both had troubles of their own. Miguel finally stopped and grabbed Jules's hand, pulling her to the side.

"Can I tell you something?" He asked whispering as he looked around

Jules nodded. "Yeah anything."

He sighed and then spilled it to her. "I did what Hawk said and I went over to Sam's house. When I went there I saw them having dinner and there was this guy there, it may have been one of her brothers but it looked like she was flirting with him. They were talking and joking

Jules furrowed her eyebrows. Brothers as in plural? Sam only had one brother, but maybe it was a cousin.

"What did he look like? The one she was talking to?" Jules asked as her heart hung in her chest, hoping that it wasn't who she thought it was. Miguel shook his head trying to remember the boy. "He had brown hair, and looked no older than us and he was talking about karate to Daniel and Sam."

Jules knew it immediately, she knew it before Miguel had spoke but she just didn't want to believe it. The girl didn't want to believe that Robby was like them or that her mother was right. They were cursed and Jules wasn't going to be the one to break the cycle. She turned and left, not caring that she left Miguel or the fact that the bell had just rang, Jules needed to get away from everyone and everything. She felt the tears welling up in her eyes.

Hawk stood behind the four sitting on the bench. Miguel, Demetri, Hawk, Jules, and Aisha sat next to a park. Miguel was talking to Demetri, Aisha was on her phone, Hawk was sparring with Bert, and Jules sat there staring off.

"Come on, eat something. It'll make you feel better." Demetri said exasperated as he tried to get the two teens to talk about their feelings

Jules hadn't responded or moved since they got there so Demetri was focused on Miguel. The boy shook his head.

"I told you I'm not hungry, man." He answered monotonously

Demetri sighed. "I still think you're overreacting."

"I'm not overreacting, dude. I know what I saw." He explained

Hawk put in his two cents as he continued fighting with Bert. "All right, so you saw her eating dinner with some chode." Jules shook her head as Hawk sent a kick straight into Bert's face but that wasn't what Jules was worried about

Hawk was wrong, he wasn't some chode. That was her boyfriend, the man who she had made a promise with. She wanted to cry but Jules squeezed her eyes shut and sat forward, holding her face in her hands.

"It's probably her brother or something." Hawk ended but the two teens shook their head Miguel answered admittedly. "No dude. Brothers don't look at their sisters like that."

"Depends what part of the country you're in." Demetri mumbled

Jules wanted everything to stop. She didn't want to listen to this conversation anymore, she wanted her boyfriend back. Jules ran her hand over her face and tried pushing all her thoughts out of her mind.

"Look, I just don't want what happened to Sensei to happen to me." Miguel sighed, his words were laced with pain

Hawk just shrugged. "All right, so you go over to this kid and beat his ass so he doesn't have the chance."

Demetri shook his head. "Don't listen to Eli."

"It's Hawk." Hawk hissed and Demetri nodded. "Yeah, whatever. The fact is, Sam's givin you no reason not to trust her."

Miguel nodded at the boy's words, Jules didn't listen. She was trying her hardest to keep her emotions from spilling out. Jules hated Robby at the moment but loved him because of all the times they had hung out together, there was a battle raging inside of the girl. It was between love and her senses.

"Yeah, I guess you're right."

Aisha pulled her leg off of her other on and stomped her foot down. She jeered out, "that little bitch."

Jules sat up. "What happened?"

She turned to the group. "You know that video I posted of me breaking that board?" They all nodded and Aisha turned her phone so they could see what she was looking at. "Look at what Yasmine commented."

Impressive...can't believe the belt made it around ur waist. Jules scoffed at the comments.

"I'm surprised she spelt impressive right with how she spelt your." Jules laughed and Miguel let out an "oh shit."

"I gotta do something!" Aisha said and the girl started to think

Hawk commented. "How about we kidnap her and have my Rico tattoo 'bitch' on her face?"

The teens stopped what they were doing and looked back at Hawk, concern covered their faces.

"Calm down, Hawk." Demetri mocked the boys name and Hawk's face fell as he spat back. "All right, I hear how you're saying it, and I don't like it."

Jules yelled at the two. "God, would you two shut up for two second."

Aisha waved her hand. "Wait, wait, wait. I've got a better idea, look." The girl showed them her phone again, Jules furrowed her eyebrows unsure what she was looking at. "Yasmine's throwing a birthday party at the Canyon later?"

Jules looked over at Aisha who held a huge smile on her face. "Not if we strike first."

The group started smiling at Aisha idea. Jules looked over at the three before agreeing.

"Hell yeah." Hawk laughed out

"I think it might just work." She smiled back at Aisha.

They ransacked the convenient store, each teen split off to grab their own thing. Hawk walked over to the alcohol as Aisha and Jules walk over to the snack section. Bert walked into the candy section and Miguel just followed like a lost puppy. Jules walked after Aisha and looked through the chips

Aisha mumbled under her breath as she grabbed some bags. The girl just smiled and sat there scanning her options but her mind wasn't all there. Aisha saw the distant girl, she furrowed her eyebrows and tapped Jules's shoulder.

"Hey Jules, what's wrong?" Aisha questioned her friend but Jules just shook her head. "Nothing I'm fine."

Aisha let out a breath and cocked her eyebrow. "I don't believe you."

Jules gave Aisha a fake smile before her face fell, maybe it was better to tell Aisha. Besides Robby, Jules trusted Aisha with her life.

"It's my boyfriend. It feels like he's been secretive lately." Jules answered as she looked up at Aisha. The mask that Jules had been wearing fell and Aisha saw her worry. "Isa I feel like I'm doing everything wrong."

Aisha reached out and placed her hand on Jules shoulder. "You can't change that but you can communicate."

Jules replied almost immediately. "That's what I've been trying to do but he hasn't responded to my texts or calls. I just don't know what to do."

"Like Demetri said, he's given you no reason to not trust him. It's just a little hiccup, you two will get over it." Aisha's smile made Jules smile, somehow the girl was always able to do that. Aisha then nudged Jules as she hinted. "And maybe you won't keep this guy hidden from your friends?"

Jules laughed before pulling out her phone and saying. "I have a photo I can show you just give me a second."

Just then as Jules was going to unlock her phone, some called her. She gulped as she looked at the caller id, it was her boyfriend. Jules looked up at Aisha who smiled and nodded telling her to answer it. Jules smiled back and as she turned to leave Aisha gave her a thumbs up. The girl quickly rushed outside and answered the call, she placed it again her ear and hope to talk to Robby.

"Hey Babe." He said over the phone and Jules's heart began to race

"Hi." Jules replied as a smile crossed her face. She missed Robby. "I've been trying to contact you."

Robby sighed as his tone changed. "I know, I'm sorry I didn't see any of your text. I've been so busy lately."

Jules's heart slowly dropped but she hoped for the best and that he actually had been busy.

"Busy with what?" Jules asked and Robby shared what he had been doing. "Nothing much, I just did some training with Mr. LaRusso, work. You know the whole nine yards."

Jules nodded and hummed out but she gulped. He hadn't said anything about having dinner with the LaRussos.

"Is that all you did?" Jules restated the question, hoping that Robby would tell her the truth.

The boy gasped and answered. "Oh yeah I forgot, I didn't go to work today. I went skateboarding instead and let me tell you it wasn't as fun as with you. I really think you're getting the hang of it."

Jules smiled at his words but her heart hung heavy in her chest. "Yeah."

Robby's eyebrows furrowed as he heard the sadness laced in Julie's voice. "What's wrong?"

She shook her head and said happily. "Nothing, it's just everything's crazy with the tournament coming up."

He nodded. "Yeah, well I'm free today if you wanted to hangout."

Jules sighed, she hated lying to Robby. It was the last thing she wanted to do but he had already done it to her so she didn't feel as guilty.

"I can't, I'm helping Miguel with a few things." Jules replied

"Oh okay, I love you."

"I love you too."

Jules hung up the phone and sighed, she turned and walked back into the store as Hawk was trying to convince the store clerk that he was 21. The boy pointed back at Bert.

"That's my friggin' kid back there." Hawk said but the store clerk looked unamused

"Yeah, I still need to see it. It's required by law."

Jules just let out a sigh as she shook her head. How did things turn upside down so quickly.
