04:48, 13 August 2024"Who are you?" Jules hissed down at the boy
He groaned at the rough push of her foot. He glared up at the girl and clenched his jaw. He looked past the girl and at where they came from, hoping that someone would come save him. Jules pressed her foot harder into his chest when she didn't get an answer.
"I asked you, who are you?" She hissed and the boy finally spoke. "You shouldn't trust that man."
Her eyebrows furrowed and she let out a laugh, was he talking about Johnny? Why was he telling her this? And why didn't he like Johnny.
"Sensei? Why shouldn't I?" Jules asked. "What do you know about him."
The boy rolled his eyes, his father seemed to move on. He had sunk his claws into two new kids and now was using them as puppets.
"Why don't you take your foot off me." He pointed at the foot on his chest and tried to sit up
Jules didn't listen to him and pushed him back down. "You're not the one in control right now. I won't ask again, what do you know about Sensei?"
He sighed, "how about the fact that he's a horrible deadbeat father who's never been in his kid's life."
A laugh escaped Jules's lips and she slowly pulled her foot off of the boy. She crossed her arms and shook her head. "Hey it looks like both our parents are assholes."
The boy quickly got up and brushed off his clothes. He looked Jules up and down trying to decide if he trusted her or not. He took a step towards her.
"Now it's my turn to ask questions. How do you know that man?" He asked and Jules cocked her head. "He's training me."
"Training you?" He scoffed. "Why would you want to be around him."
"So I can defend myself against boys like you." Jules hissed. "You're not the only tough one here."
A smile covered his face as he stood a couple inches from her. "what's your name?"
"You first tough guy." Jules replied
He put out his hand. "Robby Keene."
Jules looked down at his hand. She hesitated for a second but then took it. "Jules Barron-Monroe."
They shook each other's hand and stood there looking at each other. Robby smiled at the girl, there was something about her that he liked. Jules didn't know what to think about this boy.
"Your mom's Barron City Law, right?" He asked and Jules nodded. "Now you know why I'm getting trained by your father."
The two turned and started walking toward the opening of the alleyway. They continued to talk and slowly, they started to let down their guard. Jules leaned against the wall and looked over at Robby.
"It was nice meeting you, Robby. Maybe we could become friends." Jules said and walked down the way they had come. Robby smiled and watched her leave

It was always beautiful this time of year, the red and yellow leaves decorated the graveyard but somehow the Bonsai tree was still as green. Slowly Victoria made her way up to the grave, it had already been cleaned off and as the girl looked at the Bonsai, it had been trimmed. Daniel had already been here.
Victoria took a breath as she rounded and saw the headstone. Her and Daniel got one of the nicest ones for Mr. Miyagi even though he would've protested. It was the least they could do for the man who practically raised them. She slowly knelt in front of the grave, her mouth went dry and the woman wasn't sure what to talk about.
"Hey Mr. Miyagi. It's been a while since I came by. I'm sorry it's just been a little hectic." Victoria sighed. "I heard Daniel came by and I wanted to come pay my respects. I've been thinking a lot and I don't know how you dealt with two teenagers especially when one was a hothead and the other couldn't deal with her emotions. I have one and it's a mess."
She let out a small laugh before looking at his grave. Under his name was an epitaph, Beloved Husband, Father, Teacher, and War Hero and Mr. Miyagi was all of those things. He was the father figure Victoria always needed but sadly Julie couldn't have the same.
"I remember when Julie was young, she would come with me and when I asked if she had anything to say to you, she would just talk about her day. That seems so long ago and now, I fear she's becoming like me before I met you." Tears threatened Victoria's eyes. "I just really need your wisdom and guidance. Somehow I feel like Daniel and I are reverting back to our teenage selves. Daniel turns to anger a lot and I've been all over the place."
The girl sighed and ran her hand over the Bonsai. God! How she missed Miyagi. All she wanted was to see him and talk to him. He would have some wisdom that would turn Victoria's life around.
"If you were here, you would say something like 'it always good to let emotions out, but never good to let out it on people' or something like that. I don't know how you always had the right thing to say but you always did. You always brought something to my attention that made my problems not seem as big. I really wish I was able to do that like you but my words just always come out jumbled. I really wish you could be here right now."
It felt like a weight had been lifted from her chest, Victoria liked these day when she went to see her mentor. It didn't matter if Mr. Miyagi couldn't talk back to her, he always helped out. Slowly she leaned forward and pressed her head to the ground, bowing so deeply for the man who she respected so much and would never be able to repay. Victoria slowly pulled from the ground and started to stand up.
"Victoria-San, people and animal not meant in cage. You hold key and decide to be free or lock up."
"You're right, Mr. Miyagi."
Victoria smiled at the memory, it had taken her awhile to realize what he meant but now she was sure. She was going to take the key and unlock the cage, she wouldn't lock herself up.
