Chapter 19

I quickly shot up and ran to the backdrop.

“Come on, ladies! We have to get this up before the boys come down!” I say and start to lift it up.

Without hesitation, Viv and Maggie came over and helped put the elephant of a backdrop up. I wiped away the sweat from my forehead and hopped down from the ladder.

“How does it look?” I ask, before coming around to meet Viv and Maggie.“It’s amazing!” Maggie says.“It’s beautiful! Oh, thank you so much!” Viv says and gives me a hug.“You’re welcome.” I say, hugging her back.

Viv looks at her phone and says, “We have 30 minutes to spare and the boys should be down any minute, so let’s hide to surprise them!”“Good idea!” Maggie says.

“Wait!” I say.“What’s wrong?” Maggie asks.“I forgot to sign it. You guys go ahead and hide. I’m going to grab my paintbrush and some paint.” I say and start to leave the room.

“Make it quick! I want to see if Jared will hit the roof when we scare him.” Maggie says.

I laugh and run to the conference room. I quickly grab my paintbrush and paint and run back to the stage. As I was finishing my signature, I hear the doors opening.

Crap, crap, crap, crap! I think before I hide with Viv and Maggie.

We hear the distant chatter, probably Jared and Jensen, coming closer and closer. I hear a “What the?” coming from Jared and before Viv and I could get up, Maggie eagerly jumped out and scared Jared and Jensen.

“What the hell, Maggie!” Jared yells, but turns into laughter.“You got us good. Am I still breathing, Jar?” Jensen asks with a chuckle.

Jared puts his fingers on Jensen’s neck to check his pulse.“Yep, you’re good.” Jared answers.

Viv and I come out laughing hard.“Oh, not you guys too!” Jared says.“Well, it was Maggie’s idea. I just wanted to put this up.” Viv says, pointing to the backdrop.

“Way to throw me under the gutter.” Maggie says, folding her arms with a smirk.

We all laugh and stare at the backdrop in amazement.

After a couple of minutes of just talking and laughing, Viv says, “I better get going before the hotel turns to chaos.”

We all say goodbye before she leaves the room and look back at the backdrop.

“I’m gonna go into the green room and see if there are any snacks. Wanna join me Maggie?” Jared asks with a weird look.

Maggie gets the hint to leave Jensen and I alone, so she says, “Sure! I love food!”

Jensen and I laugh, obviously knowing what they were doing.

“Then there was 2.” Jensen says.“Yep.” I say awkwardly.

“This backdrop is amazing! I wonder who did this?” he teased.“I think I saw a beautiful girl walk by earlier. Maybe it was her.” I teased back.“Oh really?” he asks, walking towards you.

“Yeah. You should take her out on a date.” I say, meeting him halfway.He takes your hands and says, “Nah. I’ve met not only a beautiful girl, but she’s creative and amazing and I just can’t get her out of my head.”

I blush and say, “Well, I met this great guy. He’s very talented. I’m pretty sure he can do anything and I can’t get him out of my head.”

Jensen smiles and pulls me in for a kiss. I felt like I was walking on air.

His lips felt so gentle so warm. I felt my hands begin to slide up his chest and encircle his neck. As the kiss begins to grow heavy, Jensen’s hand slid off my face and tightened around my waist. As we parted I saw his eyes sparkle and lips curve up into a smile and I couldn't help but smile back.

We turned to look at the backdrop again and I hear Jensen say, “This is truly a masterpiece.”
