Chapter 15

Jane wakes up to Maggie barging into her room with coffees in her hand.“Good morning, sunshine!” she yelled making you groan.“Maggie! People are still sleeping on this floor!” you whisper yelled.“Sorry, but today is the last day of the art show and it’s only 2 hours. We basically get the whole day to ourselves!” she squealed.

I sat up and Maggie came over with my hot chocolate.“Thanks.” I say, stretching for the cup.“You are welcome. Now, get ready and I’ll see you downstairs in 30 minutes.” she says and leaves your room.

You quickly finish your drink and trudge to the bathroom. With only 5 minutes to spare, you skipped to the elevator. When it opened, you were surprised to see Jensen inside.

“Good morning!” you say with a smile.“Well, someone’s in a good mood.” he chuckles. “Morning.” I giggle. “So, what’s on the agenda for today?” you ask.He sighs. “I have a solo panel, 2 photo ops, and a panel with Jim and Jared. Other than that, I have most of the afternoon free.”

“Me too!” I say.“Awesome! We should do something.” Jensen says.

It was then that you completely forgot about the backdrop.

“I would love to, but I’m booked.” I say, mentally face palming my head.“But you just said you had all afternoon fre-” he started before you interrupted.

“I know. How about tonight? Viv told me about this bar just down the street.” you say.“Sounds good! I’ll pick you up at 8.” he says as the elevator doors open.“Perfect!” I say and get out with Jensen.

He walks me to the conference room. As he was about to open the doors for me, Maggie burst through.

“It’s about time, Sleeping Beauty!” Maggie says with a chuckle.“It’s my fault. We were just making plans for tonight.” Jensen says with a smile.

“Oh. Well, I think I hear my phone ringing. See ya Jensen!” she says and leaves us out in the hallway.

We both laugh and I start shaking my head.“Maggie always knows how to brighten a person’s day.” Jensen says between laughter.“Yeah. She’s one in a million.” you sigh, finishing up your fit of laughter.

You look up and see Jensen looking at you with that amazing smile. You both get lost in each other’s eyes.

How can they be so green? Why is he looking at me like that? I hope I don’t have anything on my face! I thought, slowly blushing.

“Well,” Jensen clears his throat, “I better go before I get in trouble.” he says.“Yeah. Good luck today and I’ll see you tonight!” you say.

“You too! 8 o’clock sharp. Don’t forget!” he says and kisses your cheek, making you stand there dumbfounded.

He starts walking down the hall, but stops, turns around waves. I wave back with a smile.

I hope this day goes fast.

“Well, we did it!” Maggie says, putting away the last painting.“Yep! Now I have to try and finish the backdrop for the Supernatural convention.” I sigh.

“While you’re doing that, I’m gonna walk around New York! Go shopping, maybe find a nice restaurant to go to all by myself because you and loverboy already made plans!” she says, pouting.

“Well, if you’re so butt hurt about it, then why don’t you ask Viv to go with you? I’m sure she knows where the best places to shop and good restaurants are at.” I say, sticking my tongue out.Maggie laughs. “I just might do that. Do you need any help before I go?” she asks.“Nope! Go have fun with Viv!” you say, giving her a hug.

I looked at my phone and looked at the time.

10:00. Great! I have about 8 hours to kill before Jensen and I go out. UGH!

Hours and hours later…

I stepped back to look at my finishing product and a huge smile covered my face.

Finally! I thought.

I pulled out my phone from my pocket and texted Viv.

Jane: Just finished the backdrop!Viv: Awesome! I’m with Maggie right now, but I’ll be there in about 10 minutes. She told me that you and Jensen are going out tonight! See you soon!Jane: Sounds good! See ya!

Exactly 10 minutes pass when Viv comes into the conference room. She gives you a hug and then walks over to the backdrop.

“It’s perfect! I hope I didn’t rush you.” she says with a worried look.“No, I had plenty of time. I now understand why I had all afternoon open.” you say.“Yeah. I was hoping you would say yes before you came. I’m so glad you did!” she squealed, giving you another hug.

You laugh and hug her back.

“Now, you better get ready for tonight! I don’t think Jensen would like you covered in paint.” she chuckled.

I looked at my clothes covered in paint. “Yeah. I better go. Let me know when you’ll set it up. It should be completely dry in a couple of hours.” you say, leaving the room.“Have fun tonight! I expect details tomorrow morning!” Viv yells down the hallway.
