"You need to watch yourself when your talking to me Katara" Shane said to her and she looked at him with a small laugh. Many eyes had turned towards the Greene girl confused to what she was laughing at exactly.
"For fuck sakes we left his brother on the roof of a building, no weapon and no outing. Daryl has every right to be upset, it was his last remaining kin." She said to Shane and Rick.
"But Daryl, your brother was a prick who put us all in danger and didn't give Rick any other choice. He was a racist, narcissistic and untrustworthy man who would've gotten you killed in the end Daryl" she watched the men release the man she spoke too.
"My brother wasn't a prick" he scrambled up to the ground and looked at Katara and the girl nodded her head in agreement.
"Your right, he was an asshole who could've gotten all of us killed in the long run" she corrected and Daryl stared at her, he knew it was true but he wouldn't ever admit it.
"I placed a padlock on the door so the geeks couldn't get at him" T-dog finally spoke up and Rick looked away from Katara who had practically told all three of the men off.
"That has to count for something right?" Rick asked and Katara thought it was reasonable, it meant that he could still possibly be alive but she didn't think it was a good choice in him coming back to the camp site.
Katara knew Merle could start ruckus if he got back, possibly him and Daryl rile up on Rick and possibly kill him for what he did. Daryl was younger and he would do anything for his brother by the looks of it, while Merle would lead his brother into danger instead of taking him right out of the situation. It was true.
"Hell with all yall" he declared and Katara rolled her eyes, she knew he was an emotional mess for the time being. "Just tell me where he is, so I can go get em." Daryl said wiping his eye slightly, it was so quick, it was as if he didn't want no one to catch glimpse of it.
"He will show you, isn't that right?" Lori spoke up and Katara looked back at her and scoffed.
"We barely got out of there, alive. It's a living man in the building meaning walkers smell him, or smelt him for all that matter. They are either banging down that door or eating at him still. That's a death mission" Katara said and Lori looked at her.
It was like the two woman hated one another without even knowing each other so well. Katara had known what she's done, while Lori is skeptical about Katara either speaking the truth out to Rick, or running her mouth to everyone but Katara wasn't that girl. She liked blackmail yes; but she wouldn't tell everyone.
"He's gotten a human stuck up on the roof of a building, he has to show Daryl where he left his brother, help him come back" Lori tried to explain but the Greene girl rubbed her eyelids.
"Enough." He stopped the two and Katara looked at him before hearing the man go on, "I'm going back." He stated knowing he wasn't changing his mind on it neither. And with that, Rick had walked away and Katara just watched him, quite angry she could say.
Theodore stood on the sidelines of it all, his arms crossed and listening to his sister argue back and forth with everyone. He always knew she could talk for herself so she never intervened with her conversation unless it had gotten physical with anyone. "That was stupid."
Katara said while walking past him and Theodore had followed her back to her tent, "It was stupid, and you can't do anything about it. You know arguing with people could get us booted from here" he whispered as she looked towards her brother stopping in her tracks.
"If something I said was wrong, we would've been out of here after Shane choked me" she and him had spoke low, so no one could hear what they were talking about. "I speak nothing but truth and you know it."
"You speak truth I know that, but not everyone likes hearing the truth. People get offended quickly and they start to talk, and people start to question their leadership." Theodore spoke shutting Katara right up.
Katara knew he was right, Rick didn't need anyone speaking for him, especially if he didn't ask for any input. But she wasn't going to quiet her opinion and listen to the men say the wrong things, especially Shane.
She hated the man with a burning passion. "You're right, Fine." She agreed with Theodore and uncrossed her arms. "But im going to find Merle." She said walking into her tent while Theodore had stared at the space she had just left being confused.
Why he was confused? Because everything he tells his sister, she seems to let it go into one ear and out the other and it was very frustrating. For him at most. "Katara."
"Theodore I'm not a child, And I don't want to sit still and we both know that. I'm going with them and I expect you to have my back on my choice" she had gathered her bag, placing her gun ammo into the bag along with with her gun and holster, and her diary that she seemed to carry around everywhere with her.
"I want to have your back, but you know our experiences with groups Katara." Theodore was just afraid of being stranded alone, again. Moreย now because they've found a solid group and they are way more reasonable than the rest.
Katara sighed as she closed the bag by its zipper and then looked towards him, "I won't mess this up for us, especially not now. Not this time okay? For this trip I promise you I'll observe more than I'll speak." It was more of a promise to him instead of her just speaking.
"Though if they do ask me a question about something..I'll answer it, and try to hold back." She said and the male just looked at her.
"Fine. I won't say much."
"Good. Come back to me okay?"
"I promise I will Theo." Katara said as she leaned her head in and kissed his cheek before she had leaned her body in and hugged him tightly. The male's arms wrapped around his sisters body and hugged her back just as tight.
After the hug, the two had parted ways with one another, Katara leaving the tent while Theodore had remained inside of it.
"God, please lead her through." He whispered.

KATARA GREENE
ย ย ย A pandemic was issued to the citizens of Atlanta, it said the dead..walks. And if the dead scratches you or bites you, you're infected with some kind of disease. Makes you one of them.
I didn't think it to be true until I looked out my window and seen almost a herd of them, a group of my friends from the motel complex being attacked by the dead.
Their screams evident showing how painful it was to be ripped apart and eaten. And all I could do was watch and somehow pray, and I'm definitely not a child of prayer. Praying is always a last resort for me, to pass through, to make the weight on my shoulders lighter.
It's either I'm evidently not gods favorite, in which I've never been, possibly his strongest but never his favorite. Because I'm still breathing and the motel room is holding up.
Writing is keeping my mind busy, occupied along with my fingers moving. It distracts me from the sound sometimes, of the dead banging at my door. Until night falls and it wanders with the others, groaning and kicking at objects that were left as trash.
I never know who's alive anymore, what I do know is, I only have myself, a notebook, a handgun that I purchased illegally for my own safety. Ps, the world's ending and no one could arrest me for it. And a bag.
All I ask for now is.
For God to please lead me through.
