Boarded windows, pitch black rooms, and coach cushions used to sleep on the livingroom floors. April 16th, 2010 is the day that the disease control center broadcasted to the entire world about the zombie like virus.

How it traveled around the world rapidly, spreading constantly. They explained how the virus is transmitted, through bites, scratches even. If the zombies break the skin, your dead.

At first I thought it to be an horrible joke that the press had, until the screams of the neighborhood filled the dark nights.

Some of those voices belonged to my trusted and best friends I had in highschool, sometimes I desperately wished that I could help them. But other times, relief weighed in my chest that it just wasn't me you know?

I don't know if that's a bad thing but, I desperately believe that god has other plans for me in this world. That's the reason I'm not dead yet right? Because he has plans.

Maybe I'm apart of his plans to rebuild and repopulate the earth like Noah did in the Bible. Hopefully I can live through this all..I can't go out like this, I have to take care of Annalise.

The last time I spoke to my parents was the day of the broadcast, they made me promise that I will look after her. That I will keep her alive even if it means dying myself.

And that's a promise I'm willing to keep, just for them. Because they died trying their absolute best to get home, to us.

Annalise needs me to make the beans we found on the run to the city, so I'll update you later.
