YOUR P.O.V.

*a few days later*

*phone rings* 

Y/N -*looks at phone* *sighs and rolls eyes* *answers it* Stop calling me. *hangs up*

Kumi- *peeks through door* Woah, someone’s a bit rude today.. 

Y/N- You know what he did and why I’m rude..

Kumi- Yeah but.. woah dude.

Y/N- *sighs* 

Kumi- Look, *sits on your bed* know you don’t wanna hear this, but get over yourself.. this isn’t the girl I know! You’re stronger than this!

Y/N- *silent*

Kumi- Like you said. You were just dating each other.

Y/N- *looks at her* You’re right. *blinks repeatedly* So, why am I catching feels? That ain’t me

Kumi- It’s not. Come on.. You gotta thank your dad a bit, if it weren’t for him, he’d still be playing you.

Y/N- I guess. But he’s the one that pulled us apart. 

Kumi- Shit happens for a reason and what happens happens.. remember that. Let’s go and grab a burger or something to eat, what’s near?

Y/N- *shakes head* I don’t wanna stay near, let’s go out for pizza and get fat

Kumi- Sounds good! *hops off your bed*

DIGGY’S P.O.V.

Spin- *hits him* You idiot!

Diggy- *holds arm! Ow! Shit..

Spin- You always do this.. the good girls slip out of your fingers and the ones that don’t want you leave. You’re so stupid. 

Diggy- I know..

Spin- Y/N is a good girl, why do you ruin every chance you get?

Diggy- *sits down* I don’t know… but I’m going on a date with Zendaya tonight

Spin- I don’t care about her.. and Zendaya will jet back to cali after this and be done with you I guarantee it..

Diggy- Wanna place a bet?

Spin- Nigga, don’t play me like that.. *leaves*

Diggy- *sighs*

KUMI’S P.O.V.

*an hour later*

Kumi- *phone buzzes* It’s Spin..

Y/N- *wipes mouth* What’s he saying?

Kumi- If I wanna grab something to eat right now with him.. *looks at Y/N*

Y/N- You can go, I’ll go back to my house, it’s no problem.. *eats pizza*

Kumi- You sure? I don’t wanna leave my best friend depressed and alone

Y/N- Trust me, I’ll be fine… I’m going to my dad’s for the weekend anyway *looks at watch* Yeah, I have to go home first to get my stuff tho. *stands up*

Kumi- I’ll get him to meet me here then… I’m going to Alex’s later..

Y/N- Alright. I’ll catch you later.. *leaves*

I waited in the pizzeria for Spin and when he came, my heart kinda lit up, but I had to keep a sort of distance from him, I mean I was in a relationship already so this couldn’t be a date between us. He was being real cool. He ordered a southern chicken pizza and I ordered a small pepperoni as I just ate a medium one. Yeah, I was a greedy child.

I actually couldn’t help but notice how nice Spin was, he whole demeanor, his attitude, the way he spoke and he was so funny too, but I kept almost falling for him and then I had to keep reminding myself that this wasn’t a date.

Spin- You’re real cool to hang around with you know..

Kumi- Awh thanks.. that’s so sweet of you

Spin- It’s hard to find someone like you in the city, especially the way you are.. I never expected Japanese and Caribbean..

Kumi- *smiles*

Spin- I have to confess something to you though.

Kumi- *uncertianly* Okay..

Spin- I think I’m falling for you..

Kumi- *blinks repeatedly* Um.. wow.. I don’t know how to..

Spin- *leans over and kisses her*

Kumi- *closes eyes* *pulls away* I can’t. *stands up*

Spin- Wait *stands up* What’s wrong? What did I do?

Kumi- Nothing.. It’s not you at all, it’s me. All me. I have to leave, I can’t do this.. *grabs bag and leaves*

Spin- *sits down and sighs*

I can’t believe that. He kissed me and I was stupid enough to kiss him back, why did I do that? I kept replaying it over and over in my mind and I immediately thought of Alex. I couldn’t do that to him, I had to tell him.. I got to his house and I knocked on the door and his little sister answered and immediately let me in. 

Kumi- Sophie, where’s Alex?

Sophie- Upstairs, he’s with a friend.

Kumi- Okay, thanks.. *walks upstairs*

Kumi- *hears noises from bedroom* What the..? *knocks on door* Alex? *pushes open bedroom door* Oh my God..!

Alex- *rolls ff of the girl* *pulls covers over him* *looks at Kumi* Kumi.. I..

Girl- *looks at her* starts smiling* Well, well… *kisses Alex’s chest*

Alex- *looks at Kumi* Kumiko I..

Kumi- I’m so stupid.. I’m sorry for interrupting.. *leaves quickly* *cries*

Sophie- *sees her run downstairs crying* Kumiko, are you okay?

Kumi- *sobs* No, your brother is a jerk and I never want to see him again.. *leaves*

YOUR P.O.V.

*15 minutes later*

Michelle- *knocks on your door* How you feeling after the whole.. Diggy thing?

Y/N- *zips bag* Trying to get over it.. he was playing me and dad said so but I didn’t listen

Michelle- Wow, already? I think he’s still a good guy…

Y/N- Mom, you haven’t even met him and you’re saying that

Michelle- But you know what he’s like..

Y/N- *sighs* It’s just.. how can you be seeing two girls at once and feeding one of them lies and the other doesn’t even care and still gets him in the end? Life is so unfair..

Michelle- No, listen to me. Life is full of lessons *wipes your tears* and this is one of them. *smiles*

Y/N- *smiles and hugs her*

Michelle- *holds your shoulders* You ready for the city?

Y/N- *nods* I’m not working so I can really spend time with dad.

Michelle- Look forward to that.. and Christmas is in a week, so don’t worry about anything until then

Y/N- I won’t *smiles*

*doorbell rings*

Aria- *shouts* I’m not getting that!

Dante- *shouts* Count me out too!

Michelle- *looks at you* 

Y/N- Fine.. *stands up* Middle child duties… *walks out*

Y/N- *opens door* Kumiko?

Kumi- *crying* Can I… *sobs and wipes face* Spin.. *sniffles* And Alex.. *cries even more*

Y/N- *pulls her in and hugs her* Awh don’t cry bubs…

Michelle- *walks downstairs slowly* *sees you*

Y/N- *mouths to her* Alex..

Michelle- *nods* Kumiko? Baby are you okay?

Kumi- *looks at her* *wipes her nose* *shakes head* I’m not..

Y/N- Um, Mom, can you call Kumi’s mom and tell her she’s coming to the city with me?

Michelle- Of course.. I’ll pass on your dad’s details just in case.. Kumi, you and Y/N go and pack another bag of clothes and I’ll take you both to Manhattan in half an hour, okay?

Kumi- Okay.. *walks upstairs with you*

*half an hour later*

Kumi- …And then I get to his house and I go upstairs and he’s sleeping with that slut Bethany from our school..

Y/N- *holds her close* Oh God.. Kumi, I’m so sorry…

Kumi- It’s not your fault.. boys are too complicated and I hate this.. I hate my life..

Y/N- Look, here’s what my mom said earlier. Life is full of lessons and this is one of them..

Kumi- *sniffles* Well, no wonder she sold so many books

Y/N- *chuckles* I still haven’t read any of them

Michelle- *shouts* Girls, I’m ready to go..!

Y/N- We’re coming..! *stands up* *to Kumi* It’ll all be better soon..

*half an hour later*

Jordan- Hey Y/N.. *looks past her* Hey Kumi.. you guys cool?

Y/N- Yeah we’re okay..

Jordan- Your mom told me you guys would need some.. girl time together and to be by yourselves for while.. so I ordered a chicken pizza for you all and there’s ice cream coming with it. Money is on the table and there’s chocolate in the freezer, okay?

Y/N- Thanks dad..

Kumi- Thanks Jordan..

Jordan- *leaves room*

Lauren- *walks up to him* What are they doing here?

Jordan- Let them have time to themselves.. no snooping because her friend is upset.. I’ll take you out for dinner right now, okay?

Lauren- Alright.. *grabs coat*

Jordan- Bye girls.. *leaves with Lauren*

Y/N- *sits on sofa* *looks at Kumi* Do you wanna talk about it more and be depressed or do you wanna sit and watch the Big Bang Theory boxset and get fat with me?

Kumi- I like the second option..

Y/N- That’s my girl.. *stands up* *intercom buzzes* And that’t the pizza.. *smiles*

DIGGY’S P.O.V.

Diggy- What you been doing yesterday? I heard you were too busy to answer my calls..

Zendaya- I kinda was.. a lot of modelling and then some acting and shooting for this movie.. *takes out phone*

Diggy- Alright then

Waitress- *walks over* You guys happy with the food?

Diggy- Yes, it’s great.

Waitress- Would you like dessert?

Diggy- *looks at Zendaya*

Zendaya- *typing message on phone*

Diggy- Zen.. 

Zendaya- *looks up at him* Hm?

Diggy- Dessert?

Zendaya- Yeah, sure, okay.. *looks at phone*

Diggy- Can we have the New York Cheesecake for two please?

Waitress- Certainly.. *walks away*

Zendaya- *laughs to herself*

Diggy- This is the second date we’ve been on and you’re barely paying attention to anything that’s happening.

Zendaya- That’s because nothing is happening *types away on phone*

Diggy- Who are you even texting?

Zendaya- *looks up at him* It’s not like it’s your business

Diggy- it isn’t but.. who is it?

Zendaya- Just Trevor Jackson.. he’s gonna take me out when I get back to California.. he’s such a cool guy..

Diggy- Just Trevor Jackson? Seriously? So you’ve been seeing him and me?

Zendaya- *shrugs* Well, yeah.. it’s not like me and you are anything anyway or like you haven’t been doing the same thing to me with that other girl.. we’rejust dating.

Diggy- *thinks* But..

Zendaya- *looks at him* But what?

Waitress- *walks over with dessert* Here you are.. enjoy your dessert… *leaves*

Diggy- Nothing.. *stabs at dessert* 

Zendaya- *laughs and giggles at her phone*

*the next day*

Kumi- If we go to Times Square, it would literally mean my life.. 

Y/N- *looks at her* You’re serious? Even though we go there all the time?

Kumi- Yes I am serious..

Y/N- Fine.. we’ll take the subway then.. *walks down the steps*

We got to Times Square around half an hour later and Kumi was forever amused by this part of New York. We always came here when we were together, almost like a tradition. She looked around and gazes at all the adverts, pictures, taxis and people everywhere. She was like a kid in a candy store

After half an hour of walking around, going in all the shops and doing the tiniest bit of shopping, we decided to head to Starbucks to grab a coffee and something to eat.

Kumi- *puts back card in her pocket* I swear coffee is just overpriced..

Y/N- Well, I love it so…

Kumi- I know you do. It’s ridiculous how much you pay for it on a monthly basis

Y/N- *chuckles*

Kumi- *takes coffee and food* I swear the cookies are the best here. Especially the Christmas ones.

Y/N- They’re amazing.. come on, let’s go… *walks to door*

Diggy- *walks in* *sees you*

Y/N- *walks past him*

DIGGY’S P.O.V.

At that second, I saw her, she saw me and didn’t want anything to do with me but to forget everything. I saw the smile on her face drop to complete disappointment and annoyance that I was here standing in front of her.

I noticed her cute outfit, the light pink trench coat, black ankle boots, black knee-high socks and her black kitted skirt with a white jumper. She looked like she had style and I admired that. I didn’t, don’t and won’t give up that easily on her, I wouldn’t let her be the one that got away..

Diggy- Y/N.. *pulls her back gently*

Y/N- Woah.. Mochas don’t come cheap here. What do you want?

Diggy- Look, I’m sorry.. I didn’t even think I’d run into you anytime soon but… I need you and I was stupid to throw away a chance with you like that

Y/N- Well, you did. What, did Zendaya play you like butter play toast?

Diggy- *smirks* That’s a Biggie Smalls lyric..

Kumi- *chuckles to herself*

Y/N- I’m guessing that she did then

Diggy- *sighs* Y/N, ple—

Y/N- You realise that you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone or when you’re treated how you treat others.. and quite frankly, you deserved it and I didn’t. I was so nice to you and I almost fell for you but my dad was right. You would just play me…

Diggy- I didn’t wanna play you

Y/N- So why did you?

Diggy- I.. *sighs*  just want another chance at this. 

Y/N- You have to prove yourself because I feel like I wasted my time on you and you’re the one that pursued me. Not the other way round

Diggy- And I will. I promise you.. tomorrow at 12pm? 

Y/N- Sure, whatever. *looks at Kumi* Let’s go.. 

Diggy- Oh and Kumiko, Spin said to call him…

Kumi- Yeah. *looks away and walks out*

YOUR P.O.V.

Y/N- *waking* *sips coffee* *smiles a little to herself*

Kumi- *looks at you* So you’re gonna make a go of things with him? I see that smile on your face..!

Y/N- Look, I don’t know if I’m happy or what. All I know is.. he’s gonna prove himself and then I’ll see. That’s it.

Kumi- Of course that’s it. *rolls eyes and smiles*
