~Chapter 6~

A/N: HAPPY TUESDAY. Thanks to some lovely people's comments I've decided to update of a Tuesday (:

So get keen for Tuesday's! I hope this chapter isn't too short, and I hope it's not boring. Let me know what you think, and yes, I'm STILL waiting for my booty shorts :(

Calum's house was your ordinary four bedroom, one bathroom home. Except one bedroom had been transformed into something that resembled a rehearsal room, typically lived in by boys. It was a mess of cords, food wrappers, instruments, and sheet music.

Calum stumbled in awkwardly behind me after opening the door like a true gentleman, quickly tidying the messy room, followed by Michael. Hannah, and Ashton entered next, holding hands like the cutest couple ever. They just... They were perfect. Finally, luke trailed in at the back, busy on his phone.

"Uhh..sorry for the mess."

Calum apologized, continuing to tidy the room.

"It's okay, you're boys, I get it."

I laughed,standing back as my surroundings quickly went from cluttered to reasonably tidy.

Ashton led Hannah over to a clear floor space at the back of the room, before sitting her down, giving her a quick kiss and then returning to his drum box. I sat down next to her, eager to hear what these boys could do.

They all grabbed their instruments, Michael on electric guitar, calum on bass, Ashton on a little drum box and Luke taking forever to decide whether to just sing or sing and play guitar. He settled on his semi acoustic guitar as well as a microphone at the last moment. With a flick of a switch all the Amps were turned on, sending a loud squeal out. Hannah and I covered our ears.

Once the boys had all sorted out the technical side of things, they were ready to begin.

"Okay um, so this is Jasey Rae, and we're Five Seconds of Summer."

Luke announced before starting to play the intro of Jasey Rae.

I looked at Hannah. It was only Luke playing guitar but already I was hooked. She looked at me with a glint in her eye, whispering " Just wait a minute, wait till you hear him."

And then the words poured from his mouth like a stream of liquid gold.

"Lights out...I still hear the rain, these images that fill my head, keep my fingers from making mistakes..."

I couldn't take my eyes off him. The way he sang, with those cute creases in his forehead, his eyebrows raised and his eyes open, locked on mine.

The way he played guitar, and his muscles contracting with each strum of the instrument he was so good at playing.

It was as though time stopped completely, and there was no one else around, just Luke singing to me, and me almost falling face first into the carpet beneath me from pure shock.

Suddenly Calum's voice took over, and boy could he sing too. He plucked at the strings on his bass, as Michael slowly brought in the electric guitar and Ashton started the beat.

Their harmonies pulled at my heartstrings, Michael could sing too, And Ashton. Why hadn't I heard these boys before. They were... Phenomenal. Their voices just worked together, their music almost effortless to play and yet so beautiful, and I could've stayed there in this perfect moment forever.

No wonder they were so famous.

It felt as though the song should never end, but it did. Luke's eyes were still locked on mine, as their last notes rang out.

I just sat there staring, I couldn't speak, I couldn't move. I wanted to. I wanted to get up and hug them all and tell them they were beyond amazing. But I physically couldn't move.

"Ahh.. Earth to Lexi.."

Hannah waved her hand in front of my face.

"Oh! Right!"

I suddenly gained control over my body again.

Or not.

I stood up, tried making my way over to Luke and the others to compliment them, but tripped over my own foot on the way, and face planted the carpet.

My cheeks blushed red, and I kept my head to the floor as I heard 5 pairs of feet rush over to me.

Two strong arms grabbed me around the waist and hoisted me up off the ground, planting me on my feet and holding me steady as I regained my balance.

"I'm fine, I'm fine, tha-"

I turned around to see Luke with his arms around me, still holding me up. It took everything within me to keep myself standing. Why does he make my knees weak?

"You guys are unbelievable. I have no words. Just wow. Where's my phone, I'm buying your EP! And you'd better follow me on twitter!"

I hugged them all, watching them as they followed me on twitter.

"Well I think that calls for a celebration. Who drives?"

I asked, looking around the room.

Everyone looked at Ashton, who shrugged. "I do."

I quickly texted Molly, letting her know there'd be four hungry boys plus Hannah and myself at our house in ten minutes or so. She was the sort of person who loved company, and meeting new people. She'd always been very happy for me to have friends over too.

"One problem. My car only seats five and there's six of us."

Ashton said, as we all grabbed our phones and various other items.

"it's okay, you guys go, Hannah knows where Lexi lives right? I'll walk Lexi home and we'll meet you there."

Luke suggested, giving the others a pretty obvious look, if you know what I mean...

They all got the hint and left quickly.

And then it was just Luke and I.
