Part 61

Clarke POV:

"God, I hate that people still stare at me when I walk through the hall," Lexa said as she put her arm around my shoulder.

"I know, it really is weird," I agreed as I intertwined our fingers while we walked together.

"I think it's because I have the prettiest girl on my shoulder," she said as she leaned down to kiss my cheek. I blushed intensely at her motions. She is such a big softie sometimes.

"Nah, I think it's because they aren't used to seeing the infamous Lexa Woods so whipped," I teased as I looked up at her.

"I am not whipped," she said, stopping our walk and turning to look at me. She was totally lying and she knew it.

"You're totally whipped Woods," Raven said teasingly as she walked by, holding onto Luna's hand. Where did she even come from?

The depths of hell.

"Shut it Reyes," Lexa shot back as we started walking after them to catch up with the rest of the group because school was finished.

"Guys I can't believe it," Monty said as he walked up to us. "Believe what?" Harper asked excitedly, going to his side and kissing his cheek.

"We graduate in two months," he said. My mouth opened as I tried to calculate if he was right or not. I looked over at Lexa and she seemed to be doing the same thing, as was everyone. That's crazy.

"Holy shit that was fast," Raven said, almost pouting as she put her head down on Luna's shoulder. "I know, this year has been crazy," I said, looking at Lexa. She smiled back at me. Her, Luna and Raven are the only ones who know what I was truly talking about. "Yeah I know," Octavia agreed, looking over at Lincoln.

"What's everyone doing in the future? I have been so wrapped up in school, I completely forgot about it," Jasper asked, looking around at everyone.

"I mean, I've got accepted into a few colleges but haven't really decided where I want to go yet," Monty said with a shrug.

"Yeah, me too, I think I was leaning more towards the University of Arkadia," Octavia chimed in. "Oh, me too, they have this really great engineering program," Raven said excitedly as she jumped a little.

"Yeah, I got accepted there as well," I said and they turned to me excitedly. "Ok, arts or medicine?" Raven said, holding her hands out like she was weighing the options. "Um, I'm not sure yet," I said back.

It would be so fun to go to college with two of my closest friends. I subconsciously also looked over to Lexa to see her reaction. We have never really talked about the future or college like that but I was happy to see she was smiling at me. "That's amazing," she said quietly as she kissed my cheek.

"It's going to be so weird when we all split up," Raven said sadly. I could see her holding tightly to Luna even more than she already was. They clearly hadn't talked about it much either by her reaction.

"I'm gonna miss you guys," Octavia said sadly, putting her head on Lincoln's shoulder.

"Hey, hey," Jasper said, putting his arms out. "We still have two more months so cut it with the sentimental crap," he said.

He always knows how to make us all smile.

"I need some air, I will be back," Lexa whispered in my ear before walking away. I watched as she left, I'm not exactly sure why either. I looked back to everyone who didn't really seem to notice except Luna. She was holding Raven in front of her with her arms around her waist and her chin on her shoulder.

She looked just as concerned as me so I nodded to her, indicating I was leaving and then went after Lexa.

"Hey," I said as I spotted her. She was leaning both of her hands on a railing with her head slouched down between her arms. When she heard my voice she picked her head up but didn't move from her position.

"Hey," she said quietly as I came to her side.

"Everything alright?" I asked as I put my hand on her back. She didn't say anything. She just looked straight ahead of her for a while in silence. I would have been really concerned but she just does that sometimes.

"I'm not going to college," she finally said as she let out a breath and turned to look at me. I was a little shocked to say the least because that's not at all what I thought she would say. I just sat there with my mouth open for a little because I don't quite know what to say.

"I-what?" I finally opened my mouth to say.

"I can't go to college," Lexa said, turning her whole body to face me now. She was serious.

"What do you mean you can't? You have excellent grades, I thought you wanted to go to college" I said back. I tried not to sound too harsh or angry but I couldn't imagine being away from her. I didn't want to.

"I only tried hard in school and got good enough grades to get into college only so I could get away from my father. I don't have to do that anymore," she said, shrugging her shoulders. "But your smart Lex, any college would love to have you," I said back.

I get what she is saying but I just feel like the fact that he is gone is more reason for her to go. She needs to live a life that she couldn't when he was around and to not be stuck in this place where she had memories of what he did to her.

"It's not just that Clarke. I don't have enough money to pay for college. And I'm not smart enough to get a scholarship. I don't want to go just because I can, I want to go because I really want to. And I don't," she said and I could tell she was a little upset.

"It's ok," I said, rubbing my hand over her back because I knew it would calm her down. "I just don't want to even think about being away from you," I said softly. I didn't want to think about it. Not at all.

She stood up straighter so she was now towering over me. "Hey, look at me," she said, putting her hands on my cheeks so I was staring up at her green eyes.

"We aren't going to think like that okay. We still have two months where we don't have to worry about it and no matter what happens, I will never truly be away from you," she said and I could feel the tears coming in the back of my eyes. She had such a beautiful way with words.

"Hey are you losers coming? We are all going to the diner," Raven said, walking up to us. "Uh, yeah," I said, looking at Lexa who confirmed as well with a small nod. She grabbed my hand and walked after Raven.

We all drove to school separately so we all took our own cars to the diner. Well, except me, Lexa, Luna and Raven because we all practically live together.

It was strange how things were now. I practically lived with my girlfriend and best friends. It was crazy.

We got to the diner and ordered some milkshakes and food. We all talked together and laughed the whole time before Raven finally stood up.

"I have some good news," she said happily as we all focused on her.

"I have talked with my doctor and next week, this bad boy will be coming off," Raven said as she grabbed her leg that held her brace. "Are you serious?" I asked, almost not believing it. "Yep," she said with a big grin.

"That's amazing Raven!" Octavia said, getting up and hugging her. "I know, it's about time," Raven said back and we all laughed. I got up and joined Raven and Octavia in the hug as everyone around the table got happy and excited.

She went through a tough time, dealing with her inability to walk right and all the pain she was in. It was good that it was finally coming off.

"I know we still have two months left," I said loudly so everyone heard me.

"But we need to all make sure we get together before we all separate for college," I said, finishing my sentence. I wasn't ready to lose any of them. They are my family.

"Oh definitely," Jasper said, high-fiving Monty. "Of course we are," Octavia chimed in, and I saw her slide her hand into Lincoln's.

"Yep," Lexa said beside me as she kissed my cheek gently.

"Calm down Woods," Raven jokingly teased from across the table. "You're one to talk Reyes, don't think I don't see your hand under the table," Lexa said and Luna spit her out her milkshake while everyone else cracked up.

"Fair enough," Raven said, putting her hands up in surrender as she also laughed while her girlfriend turned pink next to her.

"Damnit Raven," Luna mumbled quietly as she used a napkin to clean up the vanilla ice cream she spat out on the table.
