Part 44

Clarke POV:

She laid next to me and her emerald green eyes looked up at me. We were face to face, so close.

"Good night Clarke," she said in a whisper before placing her hand on my chin and pulling my face into a soft kiss. I followed her movements before she pulled away slowly.

"Good night Lexa," I said back. She smiled and turned around to go to sleep.

I sat up for a little while with my eyes wide open, not daring to close or else my thoughts will take over my head. But it seems it's too late.

Did that really just happen? Did she really just kiss me? Did I kiss her back? What the hell is going on? I asked myself over and over again as I looked at the back of the girl laying in bed next to me.

She did. I did. I said to myself before I laid my head down to relax.

My mind still flooding with thoughts, almost too much to make me go to bed but I shut it off and went to sleep that was dragging me down.

I was woken up in the middle of the night by Lexa mumbling in her sleep. Shit. I didn't tie her hands up.

What do I do? My mind started racing. If I wake her up she will attack me but if I don't, she will be living out her worst nightmare. I was debating what to do when I heard her say "Clarke," under her breath and

I looked over and she was shaking and I could see her eyes moving under her eyelids. Her face became shiny in the moonlight from a layer of sweat forming on her skin.

I had to take my chances. I couldn't let her live out her worst fear so I decided to wake her up but I did I did know how.

I placed my hands gently on her cheek. It took a moment for her eyes to open but they did and I knew they weren't the same.

"It's ok," I said and without thinking I pressed my lips on hers very gently. I felt the anger pass through her lips like she was giving it all to me, like she was letting go of it all in that moment.

I felt her slow down and kiss me again. I pulled away and when I did, I looked into her dangerously beautiful green eyes.

I scanned her face and her eyes to find the familiarity of her normal self looking back at me. Her eyes were no longer cold or dark but bright and filled with love like they always were.

My eyes moved down to her lips that were curving upwards and I knew 1000 percent that she was back.

"I have to say, that is the best way to wake up," She joked in her sleepy voice and I laughed.

I moved off of her and sat next to her on the bed. "It happened again?" I asked, not really as a question because we both knew it did.

"Yeah, it did," she said as her face fell back solemnly. "I can't take much more of this," she said as she put her face in her hands and sat up on the bed next to me.

"What happened this time?" I asked her hesitantly because I knew there was a chance she wouldn't answer and she continued to rub her head more.

"Uh..." she said as she paused. "It was bad. It was like I was replaying the moment before I left town again. I was at home and he was uh- hitting me repeatedly. I remember the pain and the blood and I was about to black out but then he mentioned you." She said as her eyes looked up at me and I could see tears forming in her eyes.

"He said he was going to hurt you, hurt you the way I hurt him." She said as her voice was cracking as she spoke. It broke my heart to hear her speak.

"I killed my mom Clarke, which means that he wanted to kill you to bring me the same pain and I couldn't- I couldn't let that happen. I don't think I could survive without you so I got up and ran to the door but when I opened it to leave, and then you were kissing me," she said as tears escaped from her eyes.

"It's ok," I said as I rubbed my hand over her back, tracing her muscles. She leaned over and put her head in the crook of my neck and I wrapped my arms tightly around her, holding her closely.

"You didn't attack me at least so that's progress," I said with a chuckle, trying to steer away from the actual dream.

"That's true but I think that's only because you kissed me awake," Lexa said with a smile that I could feel on my skin.

"Like a fairytale," I said as I put my chin on her shoulder. I heard her laugh. I loved to hear her laugh.

"Hey," she said and I took my head off her shoulder to look at her. All she did was place her hand on my cheek and kiss me.

"Thank you," she said after she pulled away. Our foreheads rested on each other for a moment before we pulled away and laid back down to sleep.

I woke up in the morning with lips on my own. I knew immediately who it was and I kissed back. I didn't want it to stop when I felt her pull back but I got to see her gorgeous green eyes and soft skin sitting in front of me.

"You were right, that is the best way to be woken up," I said with a smile. "It was only fair since that's how I was woken up," she said as before leaned down and kissed me again.

"And that?" I questioned her with a smirk. "That was for fun," she said before she moved out from over top of me.

"Where are you going?" I said with a fake pouty face as I batted my eyes to see if she would come back. It did. She came over to the side of the bed and crawled into it. Well onto me actually.

She had her legs on either side of me, straddling me and her arms on opposite sides of my head. She leaned in slowly. Very slowly. Too slowly that I wanted so desperately to pull her face down to mine.

When she finally got close to my face. She smiled before her lips gently touched mine. She pulled away for a moment before reattaching our lips again.

She did this a few times but everyone she did, she came back more passionately and intensely than the last. My body was on fire and was tingling at her every touch. It was like I was rendered useless because I was completely paralyzed and waiting for every move she made.

She pulled in for a longer and deeper kiss before pulling farther away. She smirked at me as she sat up, she was too far away from my face.

"I am going to shower," she said as she got up off the bed and went into the bathroom. I stared at the shut door with my mouth wide open. God, she doesn't even know what she does to me.

I took my phone off the nightstand and unplugged it after several minutes of regaining my strength from my Lexa induced haze. I started to scroll through Instagram as I heard the shower running.

I am pretty sure I stared at that picture for like ten minutes, no joke. She is so hot it hurts to look at but I keep doing it because she is just that damn hot.

I heard the shower turn off and I put my phone away very quickly like I am about to be caught.

A few moments later, Lexa comes out in a sports bra and grey sweatpants. Her hair is dripping wet as it flows over her shoulders.

My jaw physically drops at the sight of her. Instagram has nothing on the real thing. You can to see her toned abs and arms perfectly, her tattoos were popping out and you could see her scars that had pretty much healed all the way by now.

She looked up to me from the bathroom door and smiled before she walked over to my side of the bed and put her hand out.

I grabbed it thankfully as she pulled me up in front of her. She was looking down on me with a smile as she tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. It sent chills down my back at every touch of her and my breath hitched in my throat before I reluctantly let her pull me away.0

We walked out of the room and into the kitchen where we started making breakfast. Well, Lexa did all the work really, I just sat there and watched.

A few minutes later Luna and Raven walked in. They came to an abrupt stop in front of us, staring intently and creepily.

"Did it happen yet?" Raven asked with sleepy eyes as they shot back and forth between us.

"Did what happen yet?" I asked, confused but Raven didn't answer, like she was waiting for something or expecting me to answer it on my own.

"I think she mean this," Lexa said from behind me. She placed her hand on my waist, squeezing tightly and turning my body into hers. Placing her hand under my chin and lifting it up to bring my face up to kiss hers.

Raven started jumping up and down and cheering while Luna was smiling and clapping at us.

"How did you know?" I questioned Raven and Luna and they looked right past me. I turned around and Lexa was rubbing the back of her neck.

"You told them?" I asked and she was about to respond but Raven said something. "Relax, we knew before you did, calm down Clarke," she said and I got confused. How did they know before it even happened? Whatever. All that matters is that it happened.

"And it's about time," Luna said and Raven nodded along with her head. "Shut up Luna," Lexa said with a laugh.

I didn't say anything else. I don't care how long it took, I can finally be with her and that's what matters. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face, it was ridiculous.

I had been almost completely shielding Lexa as I was standing in front of her but I moved to the side a little. Lexa was still in a sports bra and sweatpants. But more importantly, no shirt. Her hair was still wet and curling down her back.

"Jesus Lexa," Raven gasped. Luna hit her on the arm. "I'm sorry. You know I love you but holy shit, she is so jacked." Raven said and Luna looked skeptically at her girlfriend. Raven kissed Luna deeply and when she pulled away Luna seemed satisfied without a doubt.

Lexa kissed my cheek again and I blushed a little. Who am I kidding? I blushed a lot. Raven and Luna refocused back on us and looked at us in awe.

"Can you guys stop staring?" I said to Raven who was watching us intently. "Nope," Luna said, popping the p at the end.

"Sorry Clarke but I have been waiting for Clexa since day one. I'm not going to miss anything," Raven said as she crossed her arms, widening her eyes more until it was scary.

I turned and put my head on Lexa's chest and sighed. We would never be allowed to have a moment with them lingering around all the time.

Lexa put her hand on the back of my head and ran her fingers through her hair. I moved my head back after a while and Raven and Luna were still watching us and I could see them out of the corner of my eye.

"Ok that's it, we are leaving," I said as I grabbed Lexa's hand and dragged her upstairs to my room. "What why?" Raven shouted disappointedly after us. "You guys are creepy," I shouted back down the stairs to her as I shut the door behind me.

I let out a sigh after the door was shut. I turned to Lexa and went up in my top toes and kissed her. Her lips moved with mine before we stopped for a breath.

"Raven and Luna would have had a field day if they saw this," Lexa joked and I started laughing as I came down to my normal height on my feet.

"Well then, it's a good thing they aren't here then," I said as I flopped down on my bed. "You want to watch a movie?" I asked her and she looked at me and nodded her head.

She got into the bed next to me and I set up my laptop. I snuggled up into her with my face on her shoulder. Her arm was around me and her head rested on top of mine.

"What do you want to watch?" I asked as I looked up to her. "Whatever you want," she said and she kissed my temple. I blushed so hard and scrunched up my nose. She made me feel so special. I just picked a random movie and turned it on.

Halfway through the movie, Lexa ran her long fingers through my hair. I turned to look at her and she was still facing the computer until she felt me move and she turned to look at me. She smiled down to me and rubbed her nose against mine before she brought her face away. I used my hand and put in on her very sharp jawline and brought her face down to mine.

She smiled against my mouth but continued to move through the motions. "Hey what are you guys doing?" Raven asked as she busted through the door.

I stopped kissing Lexa and she chuckled a little, resting her forehead against the side of my head.

"Raven do you ever knock?" I practically yelled but I couldn't take myself serious because their was a big smile plastered on my face from where Lexa's lips were. I really just wanted to throw her out myself.

"No can do Clarkie, you guys are too cute and if I don't act fast, I won't get to see these amazingly cute moments," Raven said as she sat on the edge of the bed. She laid across our legs so we had to move around her.

"So? Whatchu doing?" Raven asked in a high pitched voice as she desperately looked at us, waiting for details. I looked at Lexa and she just shrugged.

"Watching a movie Rae," I said but she didn't move. "Go annoy your own girlfriend," I added, kicking her lightly to nudge her off the bed. She just smiled and jumped off the bed and ran out the door. Finally.

"We should warn Luna," Lexa laughed. I started laughing with her and placed her head on my shoulder again, resuming our position.

"I don't know what I am going to do with her," I said as I rubbed my head. "Me either," Lexa said and she kissed me on the head before starting the movie up again.

We watched multiple movies for the rest of the night. I snuggled further into Lexa and I felt so safe and warm around her. She had her arms wrapped around me and held me tightly.

Every so often she would place small kisses on my head or neck and every time she would, I would lean over and bring her lips closer to mine.

One time in particular, I brought our lips together but she didn't pull away. I shut my computer screen and used my other hand to wrap around the back of her neck. I felt her hands go to my waist as she pulled my body closer to hers.

I couldn't believe how unbelievably in love I was with her.
